"She is a precious little filly. I count myself lucky she is one of my little scarelings!" Sal's voice - now husky as if trying to scratch his throat - edged into a small and amused chuckle. Oh yes, that little group that insisted on calling him 'Papa' or 'Gramps'. Charming little children. "As for corsets...they certainly look uncomfortable, but some insist they are. Perhaps it is just...ah-" He paused with a grunt, another thunk of something tearing free following shortly. "-personal preference?"

"Mmm...its a term I've picked up over the years. I believe it's based on an ancient human tribe - likely now obliterated - called Rome. R-O-M-E. From what I understand they were very particular about how things were done, so the term 'When in Rome' came to mean 'conform to the social norm'." He explained, instead of explaining what he was up to.

Somewhere on campus, a zomboil had been lugging three large bags behind him through the dead grass and dirt. It was ridiculous, really. Who ever decided that clothes should actually need to be washed? If everyone just left their clothes dirty, than that would be the standard and normal thing to do, and his boilfriend wouldn't have insisted on him picking up the dirty laundry that was piled in heaps around his comfortably messy dorm room, and definitely wouldn't have hinted at him quite strongly that those items should get washed.

The things he would agree to do for a few extra kisses. Was Yin becoming manipulative or was Alexander just imagining it?

Whatever. The point was this was stupid, but he was going to do it anyways because if it made a certain weremantis happy, than it was worth it. Never mind the fact that he actually had no idea where the campus laundry area was and spent most of his morning just wandering aimlessly. Forget that once he got there he would most assuredly have no idea what he was doin---wait, was that an alpaca? Alexander's mouth watered at the sight, but with it being tethered up, he had to remind himself that it was probably somebodies pet and made himself move on.

Eventually, he found the building, and hefting the large bags up each step, skeletal foot scraping against each paved slab, he finally pushed his way inside, only to hear a very familiar voice and a lot of accompanied noise that most definitely sounded like something was being broken.

He gave a glance at the ghoul who was already present, than shifted mismatched eyes towards the washing machine, where all of the interesting sounds were coming from. ".........Sal? What are you doing?" He shuffled the rest of his way inside, discarding his bags by the door and approaching the washing machine so that he could place both hands on top, and lean over to have a look at the pile of robes and white hair that lay behind.

And then, as though a light bulb went on in his head. "Did you leave an alpaca tied up on the campus grounds?"

And than back towards the ghoul, who was familiar but whom he'd never actually spoken to before that he could recall. "I'm sorry, is he bothering you? I don't know who keeps helping him escape the horsemen mental facility. If he's being a problem I can send him right back again."

Of course he was totally joking.

Or was he?

He was making a lot of noise back there. Junko frowned and moved, crawling across the counter to climb onto the washing machine and peek over the back of it to see what Salbei was up to. When in Rome...okay. Strange, but Humans did a lot of strange things. "So why do they still use it if this Rome place is gone? Wouldn't that be more suitable for...describing their dead? Or their missing?"

She didn't notice someone else had arrived until she heard a vaguely familiar voice speak Sal's name. Junko blinked and looked over her shoulder at the zombie boil dragging in some bags and approaching them. "Oh, hello. Um..I'm not sure what he's doing, he won't tell me."

Junko gave a soft chuckle and waved her hand when asked if Salbei was bothering her. Funny! "No, he's fine. I asked him to come with me, but now all he wants to do is rip apart the washing machine. I just hope I don't get held responsible for this." An alpaca? Oh! "Are you Alexander? Salbei mentioned he was bringing that alpaca to an Alexander for a debt." Junko held her hand out to the boil. "I'm Junko. I've seen you around, I just don't think we've ever met."

"You are telling me you don't use old, outdated sayings? I frequently year you youngin's saying Jack as a curse...from my knowledge of your lore, not only does he not deserve such crude praise, but his FEAR faded eons ago?" He sounded curious; not that he was trying to win the conversation or perhaps put an end to it, but he always found this use of Jack's name in vain as being very...unusual.

Alex's voice did what Junko's couldn't; Sal peeked above the washing machine. "Well well, so you are still alive! Rude, but I can overlook that under the circumstances." The Horseman teased in a voice that would have been dead panned had it not been for the small smile on his lips. As always, he ignored the questions over what he was doing, mostly because there were important things to discuss. "I did indeed, and that would indeed be Alexander." He affirmed to Alex and then Junko, and then went quiet as they went to introduce themselves a little more directly. There was nothing more for him to say at the moment; the Alpaca surprise was spoiled and they were introducing themselves, which gave him time to stand and dust off his robes, leaving the back of the washer in pieces to instead go see his 'first son'.

"Bella has been keeping me up to date." He informed the Zomboil. "But it is good to see you face to face, little colt."

Alexander had to snort at Sal's first comment. He gave his head small shake and rolled his eyes, though his lips twitched up into a small smile of their own. "Alive? Hardly. Existing? Yes." He stepped back away from the--washing machine was it?--as his father-away-from-home peeked out from his hiding spot, turning back to Junko once more and saying, "Yes I'm Alexander." At the exact same time that Sal confirmed it for her, giving another small shake of his head and a wry grin to the ghoul, before reaching out to take her hand in his for a quick handshake, clasping her hand gently in his for knowing all too well that his grip could be a powerful one if he wasn't careful.

"Ah, I know you! You were on the Student Council last year, right? And you're a friend of Belladonna's? She's dating my best friend." He continued to smile, because when was Alex not smiling?

"Ya he's owed me that alpaca for about a year now, but you know he's terribly old and can't remember anything." He turned to give Sal perhaps the cheekiest looking smile yet. "He's also apparently going blind as well because he keeps missing me when I stop by the encampment to...help out."

Not that he'd be doing that again anytime soon. One trip to the princess corner was enough to fodder a lifetime full of nightmares, and Alex didn't even sleep! Let the ponies risk their own necks without his help for a while with their Fear collecting. He'd already lost his head once and he wasn't too keen on doing it again.

And finally, with a more serious look to his horseman friend, he almost dropped the dry humor, and the attitude, and said with a certain amount of fondness. "It's good to see you too, Papa Pony....even in circumstances as odd as these. You aren't planning on taking this entire thing apart, are you?" He gestured to the machine, and raised his eyebrows at the slightly taller man. "I still need to wash my clothes."

Nevermind that there were other washing machines. In fact, he'd rather forget about it altogether, if he could, and just go back to his room and tell Yin some crazy faminer destroyed the only means of cleaning his clothing.

Ah, that was true about Jack. Junko was quiet, thoughtful. He had a point. "I suppose you're right. To be honest I only picked it up from my friends. They probably picked it up from their's..and...their's...I don't know when it started to be an addition for curses instead of simply praise."

Alex was asking her questions. Questions she could answer more easily! Yay! Junko turned to the boil with a smile, nodding her head. "Yes, I was Vice President. And yes! She's one of the first friends I ever made here~. Oh, you're..Mort's friend?" Mort, right? She didn't know him terribly well but she didn't like being someone who didn't remember names and faces.

Junko put a hand against her chest and looked to Salbei as Alex said he was old, forgetful and blind. She understood it was all a joke but every now and then Junko liked to pretend she believed everything she heard. "Oh, no! Salbei, is this true? That's so sad! I'm sorry to hear that, Salbei. Perhaps we could invest in a nice seeing-eye minipet for you!" Clever. That was a good one, Junko. Write that one down so you don't forget for next time.

Papa Pony? Junko blinked and looked from Salbei to Alex and back again. That was a strange nickname. "I think my clothes are almost done, you can take the machines I'm using after I put them in dryers.." She tried to peek behind the washing machine and gasped when she saw pieces missing and torn. Salbei! Wh..what..?!

"Oh gosh I hope they don't blame any of us for this.."

"For the record, I resent such an accusation. My memory is perfect, even if my bones are withering." Sal mumbled from behind the machine, clearly distracted but trying to sound cross. A seeing-eye minipet...pah! "I was merely waiting until I found the perfect one for you." It was a fat Alpaca. Large and thick, probably very juicy. He may have taken a while, but he hoped the wait would have been worth it. By then he had escaped from behind the machine, his robes freshly patted of dust.

"I hadn't planned on it, no. But I do tend to finish what I have started...alas, this round goes to the machine. I appear to need some tools to finish the job." He was lamenting, clearly, but he sounded happy enough; perhaps it was a challenge, and if it was...well, he'd definitely be back with the tools he needed. The machine wasn't terribly important though, and the Sage stepped forward to pull Alex into a little but likely well-deserved hug, giving the boil a pat on the back between his shoulder blades.

"Well my dear, if they do blame it on you..." Sal sighed softly, looking as though he were about to do the noble thing and take the blame. "...You tell them it was like that when you got here." Or not.

"If your memory is perfect, why are you always getting so lost?" Alex asked, innocently enough while nudging his bag of dirty laundry with a skeletal toe and trying very hard to hide the grin that was threatening to spread across his face. Back towards Junko, he nodded.

"Ya, Mort. He's one of the first friends I made here." He did grin now, remembering how he had ran into the boil at the scarecade all that time ago and they had battled it out on the dance dance deadolution machine. Alex had won a hard fought victory back then. "Belladonna has become almost like a little sister to me." Wait, was she actually older then Alex? He didn't even know! "Even though we didn't really get off to a good start when we first met. I think she implied that because I was a zombie, I was stupid." He laughed at that, a sound that was quickly cut off when Salbei emerged and pulled him into a hug, leaving him enfolded and practically ensnared in the faminers many robes. With the slight height difference, it actually did remind Alex quite a lot of hugs he had gotten from his actual dad...minus the robes of course.

"Hey I had nothing to do with any of that." He said in regards to the washing machine when he was able to break free. Small hug or not, he had almost gotten lost in all of that fabric!

Of course, Junko had to offer the use of the machines she was using, and it was hard for Alex to hide the disappointment on his face, before he spoke again, turning towards her to ask, "Hey uh, you wouldn't mind maybe showing me how they actually work, would you?"

This still didn't make him stupid. Belladonna was still wrong.

Junko wasn't sure how to feel about Salbei saying he needed tools and that he finished what he started. Did it mean he was coming back later to take this apart? Oh dear...

This was..bad.

His suggestion had her staring at him. He wanted her to lie? She couldn't lie to authority figures! Her entire stance on that had always been always be honest even if they don't want to hear it or don't believe you! It...what?! But..Salbei!

Luckily Alex was there to draw her attention away from the horseman's terrible, terrible suggestion before she could freak out over it too much. Oh, way to go, Belladonna. Junko chuckled.

"Sure, I can show you. It's fine." Junko was used to doing other creeple's laundry so it wasn't a big deal to her. She turned to the machines that were finished with her clothes and started transferring everything to dryers, humming cheerfully and pointing to the open machines. "Do you have detergent or do you need to borrow mine?"
