silverswordzero I wish more people like you guys lived where I do crying Everybody thinks I'm SO WEIRD and "girly" for playing it crying crying crying I personally think its sexxie when a guy plays flute.

I play the flute! Woot! We actually have 3 guy flutes. One is first chair. I'm third chair. The other sits a row behind me. I think where I did last year as a freshman. Three sophomores take up seats 1-3. We have like 1 junior and she's bad.

We have three male flutes. Two of them are really good, but the other one is a slacker that talks too much ><

Lol, I live in Wisconsin....somewhere in the middle...off to the side a bit... One of my best friends is a guy who plays flute. He was in my section at an honor band, and it made me so happy that he was strong enough and brave enough to play an instrument that most (not all, folks, but most) men consider wussy and girly.

Actually I think its really cool if they do cos its like.. playing something society is like "homg! girls play flute!" to.. so yeah.
theres no male flutists at my school..
but then again..
it IS an all girls school...

My band was three! My dad thinks it's kind of gay for a guy to play the flute. Guess he never figured that most girls play the flute and that would be the in section to be in. I agree with you guys. Male Flute players are the smex! Thats why I'm dating one! Marching band is going to be so much fun this season!

We have two male flute players at my school, but one of them is switching to tuba for marching band. The one that's sticking with flute was complaining at lunch the other day about how he's going to be the only guy at sectionals from now on. XD

Lol, well, the flutes are always the section with the most drama, and I guess he'd rather not be involved in it. Although the clarinets could give them a run for their money..

We used to have a really really really good male flute player, but non-band guys made fun of him, so he switched to trumpet, but he was really bad at it and so he quit. It made us sad.

There are two male flutes in my entire band.
They both aren't that good, and one said he wanted alto sax but his mom made him play the flute. xd
