The large blue flew closer to the dark blue, chuckling to himself as they were closer than the browns. It was good to see the green tease them so much this way. With a bugle back, he pushed himself harder

Another joined the flight? What was going on here? He thought quickly and flicked his tail in front of another dragon trying to get them off the chase. As the green turned towards the weyr, he twisted to follow her movements.

The dark blue pushed himself harder. He snapped at the tail and flew up higher to go above him. This was not going to be how he would be taken out. He trilled back to Courath, singing his own sweet song.

Jealous were they of his bright colors and markings? Then green herself seemed please to have another chasing. Daroth dodged and snarled at the other blues. So dull compared to him.

Asoth wasn't impressed at the blues passing him, he was even less impressed at Courath's comment, that meant she wasn't paying as much attention to him as he liked, of course he was the best, he was ASOTH.
He hadn't followed her into the dive because M'lan had mentally yelled at him to not be stupid, he couldn't stop or move as fast as the green or the blues, instead Asoth had circled as tightly as he could and was annoyed at Courath's attention towards the blues. She'd see ... she's see he was the best when he caught her.

There was a small noise of disapproval as the sounds of snarling came from behind her. Courath dipped her wings, dropping altitude and buzzing the Weyrling barracks and slipping between the narrow space between it and the walls of the Hatching sands. There was room... just enough, for her and those following her if they were careful. This would be her first real test. The safety of the children and soon, Cepheith's eggs were vital to the weyr. Courath knew what she was doing, staying high enough not to endanger any humans walking about, but did her pursuers?

This was going to be a tricky maneuver, and if he was any bigger of a brown, he wouldn't have even thought about following her through. He could do it, he was certain, and Krith followed her through the narrow space, mimicking her movements.
There was no room for screwing up here, and the brown soared through, making it look practically effortless.

Asoth rumbled deep in his chest as the green evaded the blues, he was pleased but at the same time he was furious as she scooted into the Hatching Sands. He was big, almost too big but he wasn't about to let some blues show him up.. let alone that BROWN! ... but no!.. oh no he didn't dare, he might be big and have the urge to show that he was the best but he wasn't about to risk the safety of people, let alone Cephieth's wrath if he so much as dropped a twig onto her or her eggs. Nope... he wheeled away and over, hoping to catch her when she exited the other side.

Neptanth, seeing that Courath flew around the young ones, flew higher. There was no way he would harm them even in a flight. Being the size of a brown, the large blue was able to maneuver through the area, but still high.

Surprised at the direction the flight headed, well at least the new dragons would understand what it looked like when they flew like this. It was about time to catch that Courath and show her how to have a great time. He flew higher up, just enough to scare some of the humans, as he followed the green

He had a bit of advantage compared to the larger blue, but Solath wasn't thinking of that. He saw the green and wanted her even more now. Through the Werylings and the Hatching Sand walls, he flew. He was letting momentum take him through, waiting for the clearing to shove himself after her with powerful wing strokes.

Daroth did his best to keep up with the green and stay away from the other dragons. Someone always wanted something, wanted more... He rumbled and dove past, trying desperately to catch up.

Courath cleared the tight gap with little trouble herself, glancing behind to see who had followed, and who hadn't. Most had dove right in after her, through the narrow alley between the two buildings, while two, Asoth and Neptanth, had chosen to fly above. Was it due to size, or because they didn't want to endanger the young ones?
Those who had followed her had done a good job, she hadn't heard any graze a wingtip, nor any screams of startled weyrlings. The pack was starting to spread though, with a few dragons pulling close enough to catch her if they tried. Courath wasn't quite done yet though. She'd taken them high, and taken them low. They'd flewn well, all of them, but she wasn't ready yet. Now she flew straight, lifting just above the trees of the jungle as she shot south towards the mountains. No fancy tricks, nothing but pure speed as she raced towards her destination, would she reach there in time, or would she make her need force her to make a decision before?

The green was flying straight now. He was higher up, wanting to see even more. He watched the others getting closer and used his larger wings to push himself faster.

With some stronger strokes of his wings, the light blue took out after the green. She was going fast, but he could catch her, he was sure of it. A deep rumble as he chased, neck to neck it seemed with Neptanth.
