Well, this is awkward
Muldoon, Aggro, and Noble PD

Plotting Begins

"AGRH!!" roared the shiny Axew at the top of his lungs, as he stormed out of the house. His father had really stepped over the line this time! Muldoon had been looking at a modeling magazine and the thickheaded Tyranitar had gotten the wrong idea. Not only did Muldoon get a thorough scolding (verbal abuse, really) in which his dad used derogatory words about his nephew, Aggro, but he'd taken the magazine and destroyed it. Muldoon had spoken out about the names he'd called his cousin, which earned the shiny Axew a smack across the face and more yelling. Muldoon didn't see what Aggro saw in his boyfriend, or any guys for that matter. But, that's why he'd been looking at the magazine in the first place.

the magazine had had a special excerpt on the Kitty Kat twins, the two most gorgeous women Muldoon had ever seen. Even though he was just a young Pokemon and they were buxom beauties, he was drawn to them. There were full-color spreads of both twins, separate and few together, and a section asking various personal questions. The most interesting question to Muldoon was the one about what the twins' ideal guy was. He wanted to know if he even had a shot. He had been in the middle of reading this particular question (hadn't even made it to the answer yet) when his father had burst into the room.

Now, Muldoon was stomping around the sidewalk in front of the apartment. He was trying to blow off some steam, but the more he thought about the whole thing, the angrier he got. People and Pokemon that were passing, gave him a wide berth. No one wants to be in the way of an angry dragon, no matter how small.

As he fumed, Muldoon began to think of how best to rectify the situation. At first he wanted revenge, to tear something his father treasured to pieces, but he realized that would just end poorly for him in the long run. Best case scenario, he'd get scolded. Worst case? Well, he didn't even want to think about it. The mere thought caused him to shiver and kick him out of his rage. No, the bet hing to do would be to make his father jealous. But how?

Phase One

Muldoon stared at the star-shaped stone his cousin had given him last they met. It stood silently on the table, doing nothing out of the ordinary for a rock. Every night since he'd brought it home, he silently wished it would do something. He wanted to change. He wanted to be like Aggro or the Keldeo boy they'd met. He was tired of constantly being in his father's dark shadow. He wanted to strike out on his own. And he thought, maybe, just maybe, if he changed he'd be able to meet the Kitty Kat twins. Perhaps they'd even take a fancy to him? A soft smile spread across his face as he day dreamed. That'd be the life!

He brought his attention back to the stone. The smile faded as the stone had not changed in the slightest. He crawled off his little pillow bed and moved towards the star-rock. "Please, please, please," he begged in a hushed tone. "Please change me. Whatever of the gods is doing this to other Pokemon, please hear me! I need this!" His voice raised a bit and he could hear his father coming down the hall from the front room. Quickly, he shoved the stone under his bed and ran to the window, pretending to study the stars.

The door opened abruptly and his father stood outside, his massive form silhouetted by the hall light. "What're ya doing in her'?" he bellowed, "Who ya talkin' to?"

"I'm quizing myself on the constellations," Muldoon replied flatly.

"A'ight," came the gruff response. Not a moment later, the Tyranitar closed the door and walked back to the front room.

The shiny Axew breathed a sigh of relief and slumped against the glass of the window. "That was close." He was glad for once, that his dad insisted on knowing anything that could be used for survival purposes. He'd never used the constellations knowledge before. Even though, he didn't need to quiz himself; he retained all the information his father and trainer taught him. He was a pretty bright kid, which allowed him to trick the old Tyranitar from time to time. Tonight had been no exception.

As he stood, his forehead pressed against the glass, a dull hum grew from the near silence. He blinked a bit and pushed himself off the window. Where was that noise coming from? He narrowed his eyes, looking around the room. It didn't seem like it coming from anywhere in here. As his gaze passed the window, something caught his attention from the corner of his eye. On of the stars seemed out of place and far brighter than even the North Star. He inched closer to the glass and noticed that the humming was getting louder and the star was getting bigger.

"Oh-" his purple eyes went wide. The star wasn't getting bigger, it was getting closer! He jumped away from the window, just as it seemed the star was going to smash through it. He shut his eyes and covered his head, but there was no loud crash noises, just the hum. It had somehow gotten into the room, though, judging by the sound of the humming. Cautiously, he opened his eyes and looked around. The room was untouched. Except, was there something glowing under his bed? He hurried over and threw the pillow aside. "No way!" he breathed, staring at the star-shaped rock, now glowing. He reached forward, hesitating a brief moment before grabbing hold of the stone.

Instantly, the glow faded as did the humming. A few moments passed and nothing happened. Muldoon rolled the rock over in his hands. "But-" he frowned, upset at the lack of changed. He tossed the rock aside and grabbed his pillow. he filt very tired all of a sudden, probably due to the disappointment he just faced. It was close to his bedtime anyway, so might as well sleep now.

Parting is Not Sweet Sorrow

“What the hell happened to you?!” was what Muldoon woke to that morning. It was his father, he knew that foul-tempered voice anywhere.

“Huh?” came his groggy reply.

“You’re not a Pokemon no more! Yer one of dem queers like yer cousin!”

At this, Muldoon shot upright, eying himself all over. Indeed, he had changed in the night. His wish had come true… well, almost. He was still so small; like a child. He was elated but disappointed all in one. He wanted to look like a teenager, like Aggro did. There’d be no way the twins would go for him this way! But, at least this was a step in the right direction. He was now humanoid, and maybe, just maybe, he’d grow into looking similar in age to the Kitty Kat twins.

His happiness was soon ruined, as it often was, by his father, however. “Yer no good like this! Ya cain’t battle or nothin’! Plus, ya gots a dangly like a damn human b’twix yer legs! Cain’t go out like that!” He growled, “Better tell our trainer.” And he stomped out of the room, muttering, “Tain’t right. Tain’t right.”

The broad, tusked smile on the Axew child’s face faded completely. He knew his trainer would not approve. He hated kids and barely tolerated child Pokemon. If it weren’t for the fact that his trainer wanted a Haxorus for battle competitions, he surely would’ve been kicked to the curb long ago. What was to happen to him now?

Footsteps could be heard and he quickly covered himself with whatever he could find. His trainer burst into the room not a second later. “WHAT THE HELL?” Muldoon tried to say something in response, but his trainer held up a hand to cut him off. “NO! Just, no! Whatever’s going on with you and my sister’s Larvitar is obviously contagious.” He motioned for Muldoon’s father to go down the hall, away from the Axew. “Hopefully he didn’t catch it.” A snarl and quick, “stay there” was uttered before the trainer left to get something.

Muldoon was feeling pretty low at this point, not to mention scared. Neither his father nor his trainer obviously wanted him, so what was to become of him then? He sighed, now regretting his wish. There was no way he’d be able to see the twins now, not when he’s been turned out on the streets. Tears began to well up in his eyes.

“Oh no, none of that pansy-a** crying!” His trainer had returned with several garbage bags. “Here, put these on.” He threw the garbage bags at Muldoon, who was easily able to catch them before they smacked him in the face. “And put all your crap in one too. I’m getting you out of my house before you contaminate everything!”

“…apartment.” Muldoon corrected under his breath, not realizing he could now speak the same language as the humans.
“What was that?” the trainer snarled.

“Nothing, sir. Yes, sir!” Muldoon panicked and hurried about trying to affix the bags to himself in some fashion.

“That’s what I thought!”

~*~

Minutes later and they were on the road, headed to Arceus only knows where. Muldoon’s trainer had been cursing while driving erratically the entire time; it was amazing he hadn’t been pulled over. Then again, he probably wouldn’t have stopped. He would’ve just taken his jeep off road, lost the cops, and left Muldoon in the wild. He was actually a little surprised his trainer hadn’t just kicked him out of the apartment with little more than his bag of belongings, which he now clung to tightly (lest the be flung from the jeep).

Muldoon kept quite as the sped away from the city and towards the wilderness. His trainer was going to abandon him in the wild! The child’s heart began to race. How was he going to survive? As Pokemon he wouldn’t have worried about it, but now that he was part human? He wasn’t sure how this would work. Did he have all the same special qualities that he used to have? It was hard to tell, especially with the wind whipping him in the face.

Luck was on Muldoon’s side, or at least pitied the poor boy. He began to recognize the area they were in. This was the way to Aggro’s! A flicker of hope allowed itself into him mind. If he was going to be left with them, then things couldn’t be so bad, right?

They arrived moments later, to the home of Aggro and family. Muldoon rushed out of the vehicle and hurried knocked on the door. The Pupinaw, Muldoon’s loving cousin, opened the door, very surprised to see the young Axew in this way. But, something told him that it was Muldoon, not just some random Pokechild.

Then, Aggro saw his cousin’s trainer, fuming, and raging towards him. The teen guided Muldoon inside and then closed the door behind him, leaving the Axew inside, staring at a grinning Zoey in her motorized wheelchair.

“Come on, let’s get you some actual clothes.” Taking Muldoon’s hand, she led him to Aggro’s room in the back of the house, as a commotion could be heard outside.

It seemed like quite a while before Aggro returned inside, a look of accomplishment on his face, like a great weight he had been carrying for years had been lifted off him. Other than that, there seemed to be no difference in his appearance, except his sleeve was a little wet (Muldoon noticed). The Pupinaw bent down and kissed Zoey on the top of the head.

“We found some clothes for Muldoon!” she smiled as she presented the Axew in an old outfit of Aggro’s. Aggro smiled simply and Muldoon could tell something had happened outside. But, the house seemed to have pretty good insulation, because he hadn’t heard much more than incoherent yelling and then the squealing of tires as his trainer had driven away.

“Welcome to your new home, cousin.” Aggro held out his hand. Muldoon looked to him, then to Zoey, who nodded.

A broad grin crossed his tusked face as he slapped the hand, “Awesome!”
