Uncle. Yeah he was an uncle. Zhea though it was weird to hear the words coming from another. It made him sad to think that his sister had already had foals. She made a wonderful mother even if it was just her and two of her foals, she hadn't really been forthcoming with details. His brother had likely settled down himself with some foals of his own. He was alone even though he was surrounded by welcoming strangers. It was an odd thing to think but it was how he felt. "I settled in a sense." He smiled softly "I have settled in with the herd and I don't plan on ever leaving, so I have settled where I plan to live and eventually raise a family, but I don't have anyone special with me just my herd mates."
He wouldn't be sad about they way his life had turned out thus far. He had never let himself get down about it. He had enjoyed his traveling. He had met many amazing soquili, and he had met many single mothers raising their children on their own. He had vowed to never do to a mare what had been done to them and so he had never allowed himself to get too close. He had to be safe and none of them ever made him feel sure. He turned his attention to the mare beside him, she hadn't offered anything about her own family. The way she responded, at least, also led to the thought that she may not know of her family. "My mother is a very busy mare being an adviser for the herd, but one day she most likely will."
He looked forward to the end of the path. The area was growing wider though he hadn't moved away he kept his distance It was a comfortable space. He wasn't sure how to ask if she didn't know her family or if he was reading too much into her words. He wouldn't want to cause her pain, he hated hurting others. He would avoid asking that question out right, but he could try another line of questioning. "Are you expected to return home by a certain time this evening?"

No one special? That was a surprise and it caused her to say so.
'I find that surprising, though you're not the first stallion I've met that I've thought friendly and handsome, and has also been single. I guess it's hard to tell, though I feel that maybe the mares around here are just missing out.' she said, glancing sidelong at Zheadeos as she flattered him.
'I see.' Neena wondered at a mother that could let other things get in the way of connecting with her son, but she had no one to compare her to after all, and at least his mother had not abandoned her children.
She flicked her tail, and then her slowly drying mane, falling silent for a while. Obviously the conversation was bound to circle around to her family situation (or lack thereof) at some point.
'I don't have a place to call home, and well, no one expecting me at any time. I'm all yours.' she said, attempting to sound like it was a thing of no consequence.
