Carla stepped up towards the angry mare and leveled her blue eyes at her, glad to be speaking to one who was as tall as her. "I am Carli-Anne, I go by Carla. I am of the good alignment... and... I am here because I saw a congregation of others and figured I might as well meet some of those gathered." She replied evenly, her plate sized hooves shifting and leaving large marks in the ground.

The dismissal was clear but Garth just couldn’t let it go with that. “I would treat you with respect, but one with an attitude like yours really doesn’t need it. You might not look for a mate because you will never get one. And I forced noting. I played with your little rules and even started to take and interest in your sister, but with a family member like you it isn’t worth it.” He snorted and left the area feeling like trampling a human or two on the way back south.
“Ryo-Ohki, Good, and I thought this would be fun~” She smiled at Runa very happy to be able to participate. She was clearly excited and her eyes sparkled as she looked back and forth between the two mares not really remembering who she was supposed to be talking to first since she hadn’t been paying attention.
“Aacutenieuml of Dorthonion, irrelevant since I live up north so bonding with a human would make no difference. And I came because I saw her.” Aac’s eyes looked to the winged mare and his markings glowed a bit brighter while he stood staring before he realized he was doing it and cleared his throat looking back to Runa embarrassed. He could almost taste the winged mare’s magic it was so close. It made him react in ways he didn’t understand he wanted to run and yet wanted to keep facing her. It wasn’t so bad at a distance but up close it was hard to concentrate. Now if only the green stitched up mare would get on with this all already.

Runa let Garth's words roll over her. They stung, but she wouldn't let it affect her judgment. "Good riddance," she grumbled before addressing the current participants.
First she turned to the draft mare. "I can't blame you for being drawn, Carla. It was quite a crowd. But you do know what this is about, right?" There was a difference between social and romance.
Glancing at the second mare, she sighed. "Sorry, Ryo, I don't think this'll be very fun for you. I'm supposed to be trying to help my sister find her mate, so I have to be pretty mean." Where did these mares come from?
Her gaze fell on the glowing stallion. "A-cute-new-mel? That's quite a name. Got a nickname?" She snickered at his staring and embarrassment. This one was actually interested in her sister. She'd have to grill him a bit, but maybe... "I can see your other eyes trying to peek, demon boy; might as well open 'em. So. What makes you so interested in my sister?"

Carla nodded. "For your sister's heart. Yes, while I believe this would be good for me, socially, I also know what this is about. I do not claim to love your sister, for I do not know her. I have never spoken to her in my life. But I would like the chance to get to know her, and perhaps, what comes of that will come. I could leave with a very good friend, or I could leave with my heart full and news for my father. In any case, that is why I am here." She answered smoothly as she looked up at Agnetha and smiled, before turning back to Runa. "Whether you send me away, or whether I finish with your questions, I will come out better for being here."

Ryo-Ohki shook her head. The other mare didn’t have to mean just ask questions. What was so mean about that? It wasn’t like she was taking away anyone’s carrots. Now that would be mean. “It’s always fun to meet new people and find out about others. So I guess it’ll be alright. Besides I don’t think you’re mean at all. You’re trying to help your sister. That’s really nice.” Ryo was so happy that the winged sister had a family member like the green sister who loved her so much. “So I bet your sister is really really happy.” She looked to the winged sister to confirm.
He opened his eyes and looked at Runa waiting for the barrage to start like it had for the other demon. When she stood just waiting for an answer he started to answer her questions. “Tenie or Aac.” He really hoped she didn’t pick the first his mother had come up with it was embarrassing. Still it was a nickname he did respond too. “Well I’m drawn to her. I was the first I saw her flying in the sky. I followed her and ran into the group and started to follow them when I lost sight of her.” His unicorn tail made a small swish while he pondered things over. Maybe he could wait for whoever won to try and get alone time with the winged mare and then he’d pounce and take them out and steal her away himself. He could almost hear his mother in his mind telling him not to. He sighed waiting for the inevitable. This mare hated demons and said no demon spawn would be near her sister. The verbal treatment must be coming.

Agnetha couldn't help laughing a little at Ryo's reply. "I am very happy. But what my sister's trying to say is that this contest is to help me find a mate, so she has to ask hard questions to try and find the best person for me."
Runa was grateful for her sister's explanation to Ryo, listening to Carla. It was a good reply. It was an honest reply. There wasn't much she could say without pointlessly tearing down this mare's spirits. So she wordlessly gestured for the draft to go speak with Agnetha.
Then the zombie mare turned to Aac. She could see his dread. Her gaze went over to where Demoni was still standing. "Ah. You saw me reject the brat over there, didn't you? If I was going to treat you like that, I would've done it already. I just happen to know him and that he would lie through his teeth to get what he wants, and I'm not dealing with that today. That and he's already got a mate. It's open, but it's still a mateship." She went quiet for a minute, then spoke again. "I know you said you're from the north and therefore Bonding wouldn't be a problem, but how would you react should she Bond?"

Carla nodded, grateful to the zombie female before trotting over to the winged sister. "Salutations, Miss Agnetha." She said kindly, dipping her head in a greeting as she turned her back to the demon and the zombie.

Ryo nodded understanding but what could be so hard about answering questions. Really she never had a problem with it. What was the worst that could happen? She didn’t get picked to be a mate, but that didn’t mean that they all couldn’t be friends. Really did no one else see that. She waited patiently for the green mare to finish her questions with the black stallion. Was he really a demon? That was really interesting. She flipped her carrot about to kill some time.
He nodded to her first question and just gazed at her levely while she explained. He turned his head just so and narrowed his eyes at other demon. ‘Open’ mateship? Was the male trying to build an army of spawnlings to rival Minos? Or for some other plot? He made a quick mental note of the other demon’s description. He would pass it to Minos later. It would be good to know if the demon was foe or fickle friend. Useful so far but for how long and for what reason? He turned back to Runa in her silence. He thought about it and let the fact he was thinking show. He shifted his weight not sure if he should risk the answer that sprang to his mind but not having another to replace it. “Probably what you’re doing now. Grilling the other and scoping them out to make sure they aren’t a threat to her.” He took a deep sigh. “Then I’d have to introduce them to my mother and hope they don’t ask a million stupid questions about unicorns to her or her… condition.” He shook his head realizing he should clarify. “She’s blind, a monster did it and my father saved her.” He remembered every detail of the encounter that his mother had told him. Of course when he was younger he had heard the foal version so as not to give him nightmares. “and if I like them I might point out my father at a long distance. Up close might be problematic. ” He waited for the next questions to come.

Agnetha smiled. "Salutations, Carla-Anne. It's nice to meet you officially."
"I'm assuming your father doesn't like humans." Runa nodded slowly. "It sounds like you've thought a lot about this." She was quiet for a moment, then gestured for him to join Carla-Anne with Agnetha. "Go. I have sad sacks to deal with." Glancing over at Ryo, she spoke. "Why don't you talk to that poor stallion over there, Ryo? He nearly got trampled by the mob and I think he could use some of your fun."

Carli smiled at the winged draft female and swished her tail. "And you as well, Agnetha. Please call me Carli." She said warmly to the female, noticing that the other demon male had passed Runa's test.

Ryo glanced around looking for a sad looking stallion at the green mare’s suggestion. She didn’t like seeing other’s sad. Finally spotting him she prance right up after having grabbed her carrot to hold with her mouth. She looked at him with a cocked head for a moment before she nodded her head making the carrot swing forward so that she could offer the poor male the carrot. Carrots were magic. They could cheer anyone up. This was firm belief she had. And anyone who looked as miserable as him needed all the cheering they could get.
Aac moved over toward the angel and listened to the pair talk. He glanced at his competition this Carli; but his gaze slid back to the winged mare and he found himself starring he had come to bring this mare and her magic to his father but as he looked at her he couldn’t remember that, all he kept thinking was how he wanted to stand close to her and feel her coat, but part of him was screaming in his head to trample her or to run and hide. What was wrong with him? She was no threat. He kept starring at her while his mind raged within itself.

Agnetha nodded. "Very well, Carli. You can call me Aggie." As the demon stallion approached, she smiled at him. "So can you, Aacutenieuml of Dorthonion. ... Did I say it right?" She liked to make sure she was saying names properly; it would be embarrassing to continually say a name incorrectly. "So, what are some things you two like to do?"
Mico blinked when he was suddenly approached by a bunny-looking mare with a.... "Carrot." Wait. That wasn't the way to start a conversation. "Uh, er, I mean... Hi. I'm Mico. What's your name?"
Runa glanced briefly back at the two contestants that had made it past her, her gaze lingering on the blue draft mare before returning to her tedious task of weeding out the rest of the unsuited candidates. What an exotic undead life she had...

Carli nodded her head at the other draft female, looking back just in time to see the zombie-fied one, looking at her too. How queer... No matter. She turned back to Aggie with a small smile as she tried to think of an answer to her question. "Well... I love water, I think its something I inherited from one of my parents... So I spend a lot of time by the river. There's not really much else I do, besides helping my father take care of his Chosen and her farm." She answered truthfully.

Aac nodded surprised she had gotten it right. Her presence itself kept distracting him while he tried to answer her questions. “I like getting things done for my family.” His father. “Helping my mother when she needs it. I like running and forests.” He looked almost embarrassed by the last one. In a way he could blame his mother for the love of nature, but at the same time he also like to destroy it so he wasn’t certain if love or hate was the best word.
Her ears flickered. “Ryo-Ohki.” She mumbled around the carrot stalk in her mouth before tilting her head so the carrot swung toward him again. She grinned around the stalk still offering it to him.

Agnetha smiled brightly at the pair. "Helping your families and spending time in nature are both wonderful hobbies." Her gaze went to her sister, who was reducing the number of suitors at a phenomenal pace. "I wish I could do more of both," she admitted softly, a tinge of sadness infecting her angelic smile. With all of her suitors, it was hard to do something like take a stroll through an open field or fly peacefully through the air. And unfortunately, Runa was helping her much more than the other way around... She didn't know how to help her older sister. The grumpy, zombie draft mare didn't seem to find joy in anything anymore...
Mico smiled. "Nice to meet you, Ryo-Ohki." He blinked when the carrot was swung at him again, then smiled sheepishly when he realized what she was doing. "Oh! Thank you." Mico accepted the offered carrot, his mood brightening considerably. Unlike the others still mulling around the area, Ryo-Ohki seemed very friendly and fun. Maybe some good would come out of this chaos he got swept up in. Maybe he'd make a new friend.
