Events transpired along the normal means and eventually Pascal woke up in his bed. The story had stayed along the normal path but this is where the path took a different direction. Making a motion to roll over, Pascal found himself hitting something that shouldn't be there: Zia. His eyes widened and his body sat back rather abruptly. That along had probably been enough to wake her but if it wasn't what came next surely would have been.

"What the ******** are you doing here?" He yelped, regretting his choice of phrase immediately.

"This is my place, isn't it?" He muttered. He found himself questioning it because Zia simply never stayed there past dawn. It once led him to believe she may have been a vampire.

Of course it took being wasted as ******** for Zia to stick around to dawn. She was a heap of insecurity, body issues, slut shamed paranoia who was absolutely, irrationally frightened of wearing out her welcome.

But somehow, for some reason, even when she achieved lucidity she didn't flee. Maybe it was just being exhausted or some weird endorphin rush for how disgustingly emotional she'd been. But either way, the second he spoke, she snapped awake and was suddenly terrified she'd actually done that.

What the ******** are you doing here?

Yup, she'd done it, she overstayed. The sudden flood of realization hit her all at once and she jumped in her skin, and promptly fell out of bed, taking the sheets she was tangled in with her in the most ungraceful THUMP she could remember being part of.

"s**t! I'm sorry!" She yelped, even if she was a little lost in the pile. Her tattoo covered right side made an appearance, there was a foot, but god, how embarrassing. Especially since when she finally pulled it off her head and sat up she clocked her head on the night stand hard enough something cracked, and her struggle to get the hell out was brought to an abrupt end as she held her already throbbing skull.

Zia flew off the bed and with her Pascal's body fell forward to make sure she was okay. Amber eyes fell over her, trying to determine if she was okay or not. She didn't seem to withe in any sort of pain so he extended his arm to her to, pulling her back up onto the bed with a grin on his face. There he ran his hand over the back of her head to carefully rub it before sliding his hand down her back.

"You will be when I'm through with you," he said, although with that sort of ton in his voice it definitely sounded far from any sort of threatening anger. There, with his hand hanging around her wasit, he kissed her fervently. Zia was still here, Zia was still here, Zia was still here! His head was buzzing.

To say Zia was stupefied would be putting it mildly as she found herself pulled back into bed. His hand on her rattled head was met with a dazed look that quickly turned to wide eyed panic and shock while she desperately tried to figure out how to process this.At this point she didn't even have the cognitive ability to decide if she wanted to run away or not. There were lots of feelings, but those feelings were complicated and nameless.

She heard laughter and it took half a second to realize it was her, and another moment after that to realize if she was so happy, why bother unpacking all the other things? Why make the effort?

His enthusiastic affection was hard enough to keep up with anyway as she gasped and blushed and drew in closer. "Ah... o-okay..."

Even if she ended up being her own moment killer as usual. When she kissed him, she moved away from his lips to trail sloppy kisses along his jaw and his neck before her head just sort of went limp into the curve of his shoulder at the realization she wasn't dizzy entirely from just waking up.

"Ugh," She groaned, trying not lift it up, "Do you have any ice?"

He might have objected a bit more to her stopping if he hadn't just witnessed her whack her head. He was reasonable, and pulled back a bit to consider what the state of the freezer looked like. It didn't seem good but there might have been a really old bag of peas from when he first attempted to live alone, and failed to actually cook food. Who had he been kidding? It took way too long to cook food, time he could use to build things.

"I'll go get something," he murmured, rolling off the bed and dragging himself out of the room.

He'd been gone less than a minute before he returned with something wrapped in a face cloth. He had been right, sort of. He was right about there probably not being any ice but it wasn't a bag of peas: it was a bag sort of mushed and then burned peas. Turns out, it's a terrible idea sitting on peas and then later forgetting to remove them from the stovetop. Of course, it seemed like a fine idea to just throw them back in the freezer and it turned out it was!

"This should help," he replied, sitting down beside her and holding it out.

Zia put the makeshift icepack to her head before she pulled it back to look at whatever the hell it was before laughing.

"Do you need someone to feed you, baby? Damn." Not that she was the best cook in the world. Or a cook at all. But she had menus and a cellphone damn it, and a credit account at some of the better steakhouses in Destiny City. This was her cooking technique.

"I'm sorry," She murmured, holding it to her head again where a nasty purple bruise was starting to surface. "That was uh... that was dumb."

She pulled her knees up to lean on them and glanced in the other direction uncomfortably. "...Is it going to sound childish and pathetic if I say you're my first boyfriend?"

When Zia brought the topic to his cooking abilities, there was definitely a small tinge of embarrassment rising to his cheeks. There, Pascal seemed to mutters something along the lines of 'That was a long time ago," before pouting for the moment before she apologized.

At first he wasn't sure why she was apologizing but whatever the reason he just accepted it. It was probably the fact she leapt off his bed and whacked her head but he could never be too sure.

"You're joshing me," he announced before he really even processed the thought. It was such a surprise! "I never would have guessed," he said with a chuckle. "It's not childish or pathetic if you don't want it to be. What were you waiting for, prince charming?" God, the words out of his mouth stung like a mother ********>

Zia tried not to recoil and flail around in embarrassment at the joking response to her lack of experience in the boyfriend department and instead decided to reach over with her free hand to fluff his hair in some silent apology for making fun of his failed cooking attempts.

"Relationships are different, everyone always talks about those needy bitches who stay until morning I just--... I uh..." She cleared her throat, Maybe her social group and their particular views weren't the best discussion.

"You are very charming," She laughed, deciding to end with a joke.

And then she looked at the time and groaned, flopping back into a pillow and cringing at the decision to make sudden movements with her head instantly. "Only except now this a*****e I'm living with is going to be all on my case about where the ******** I've been."

She was seriously rethinking Azzo's offer of free use of his guest room.

If it was a one night stand, Pascal could understand the reasoning behind leaving before morning but he'd never invite a one-night stand back to his place. You always went to her place because then you didn't have to be the a*****e who kicked her our and could leave as soon as you wanted to. If you were lucky, she'd make you breakfast and tell you to leave before she got home from work. If not, well, he still got laid.

"I thought you didn't want to stay. We see each other regularly, more than regularly—you practically live here during night hours—so it's different."

Her comment about how charming he was made him smile but part of it hit a spot he didn't like. It might have burned until finally he frowned if she hadn't changed the comment to her roommate and her absence. He looked toward her after it, and then mumbled under his breath.

"She's a little possessive, no? You're an adult, it's not like you're dating!"

Zia made a weird frown up at the ceiling. She understood one night stands, and she also understood relationships didn't work like romantic comedies. "It still doesn't work that way," She said stubbornly.

She may have been bit twisted since her two baselines were Noah's mom, and to some extent, Chris' mom, which seemed like entirely boring housewives and she largely assumed were defined by their husbands until they ended up dumped and broke, like Noah's mom. And then there was her parents' who openly cheated on one another and filled the day with awkward glares and stares she could never decipher the meaning of until her mom just left.

"Huh? She who?" And then it hit her she might've mentioned a roommate named Mags, which was a pretty girly sounding name. "Oh, no, Mags was short for Magiore, but he wasn't so bad. I don't live there anymore. And then my friend Azzo was like heeey come live in my guest room, but ********, that was mistake because he's always asking where I've been, what I'm doing, didn't almost die on the way home from work, now did I?"

And he still hadn't taken her to Saturn but that wasn't a b***h she could share.

"It does," he said just as stubbornly.

He'd listened and he'd held in it when she said Mags was short for Magiore and that Magiore was a boy but after she said she was living with another guy he felt like he was going to absolutely explode. He did not like that, and apparently this Azzo fellow had some serious privacy issues that didn't sit nicely with Pascal. Maybe he simply didn't like him because he asked Zia to live with him before he did, or maybe simply because he was a guy... or douche... depending who was asking. Pascal didn't know him but he knew enough. Zia was his and she didn't need to explain her actions to anyone but him. Of course, he didn't say that to her.

"Tell him that who you've been doing is none of his concern and that you're moving in with your boyfriend," he said, suggesting the idea in a manner that almost made it sound like a joke but he was practically demanding she move out of that douche's guest house and into his rather crappy apartment. He was here which made it like 110% better anyways. Plus, it would solve all the issues, right? Haha, it totally would! Oh, what a sucker Pascal was. It could solve an issue but nothing in life for him was ever that easy. Why on Earth and the stars above did he ever think this would be?
PostPosted: Sun May 05, 2013 9:18 pm

"Well I guess my point is I don't know how, then," Zia huffed.

And then her face turned a bright, embarrassed shade of red at the thought of Azzo questioning who she'd been doing. She knew most of his concern came from the amount of time she spent on the street with 'terrorists', or at least she hoped, and that he might've been a tool but he was just trying to be a friend. "It's not like that!"

Zia really didn't ever want to have a serious conversation about sex with friends and hoped to go to her grave still wiping out Chris' demand to know if they were using protection. God.

"Well I would, but--" And then she kind of stopped, brow furrowing as she looked in another direction trying to figure this out. He sounded like he was joking but then he didn't.

"Wait, is that an offer?" And then she cringed that she actually asked that. "Oh, okay."

She could semi-joke too.

Pascal gave this look of sheer disbelief when Zia defended her friend by saying it wasn't like that because as far as he was concerned any man who looked at Zia was thinking just that. A false tone of agreement in the form of an 'mmhmm' could be heard from the young man but nothing more. It wasn't like he could really complain that much, not unless someone actually did something. What was it? If you liked it you should've put a ring on it? He did like it but there was only one ring he wanted to put on her currently and that one went in her mouth, not on her finger. He'd settle for what the next best thing.

"It's settled then, get your stuff. I think I have a spare key somewhere around here..." he murmured, looking in a dresser for it.
PostPosted: Fri May 10, 2013 6:05 am

"He's a total dork and he has a live in girlfriend who is very pretty," Zia snorted at his tone.

She was pretty much floored by the 'it's settled' thing. She was sure they were missing something. Probably the maturity and responsibility that came with actually moving in with somebody and that in reality, they could barely handle playing house, and clearly hadn't thought this through at all.

But expecting Zia to think her bullshit through was like waiting for California to fall into the ocean already. It wasn't happening this century.

"Oh. Okay!"
