"Bottle," Flare decided, her sooty hands beginning to glow. Record players burned just as easily as churches, if not more.

He stared blankly at the bar for a moment before replying to the woman, "I wouldn't bother if it were something as trivial as that. I must get the petals so I can merge the world with the elemental plane of air. If they are one, the world will be a revitalized place. Nature will flourish once again and life will be simpler." He looked up from the bar and stared deep into her eyes, his expression grim, "Are you looking for the petals, too? Does that make us enemies?" He didn't look forward to having foes, but he knew there was no way around it.

As the jeep was moving, Allen had his laptop out again, busy skimming through endless news reports, watching for anything out of the ordinary. The only really interesting thing he found were multiple reports of a strange spirit appearing and then dissapearing all over Gaia. But then, something caught Allen's attention, making him look up at Nascen.
"Mercenaries? Do you have an employer at the moment, or are you here for your own gain?"

"OhHOHOHO!" The barkeep was painfuly jovial as he reached down to grab two bottles of water.
One was marked fancy pants brand fizzy water, the other Naive brand bottled tap water.
"Up to you!"

"Oi mister! I'll have whatever the girl next to me is having, please."
Mister happened to be the bartender. Girl next to myst happened to be Flare. Funny how coincidences hopped one above another, eh? After hovering about the bar for a few minutes, the word "petals" and "wild" had gotten Mono's attention. It wasn't long after that she had taken a stool right next to to the lady who had pronounced them.
Thus, Myst proceeded to sneak in on the conversation while sipping on ... Ginger ale?! Ew!

"We're here for the 'prize' we heard about, no employer right now. Though, personally, I'd like to think I'm not the only one here really into this whole 'saving the world thing', but yeah, cash is important to... bloke needs to eat..." he said, paying attention to the road. "Y'know how it is." he said, driving off toward the clock tower.

"Nah," Flare leaned back and turned on her chair to face him. "I'm not one of those types. Rather just find me a good meal, and a good place to eat it, and let the adventuring types do what needs to be done." She was a good liar, having had at least a thousand years to practice.
"But tell me about this elemental plane of air. What happens if you merge it with here? You gonna knock this whole city down or something?"
Her right hand was glowing even brighter, now. Her left hand remained relaxed, by her side, near her rapiers hilt.
"Cause if that happens, I want to be in a bar clear on the other side of the country."
EDIT: She gestured to the water. "Your choice, my treat."
She barely spared a glance for the girl next to her, though she did notice the girl was there.

The bartender poured the plain ol' bottle of water and pushed it infront of the man talking about the elemental plane of air. Buncha weirdos today.
Quickly he busied himself by putting up more beach memrobelia.

((Ah, okay...Gotta edit my post now))
He accepted the water from the bartender and took a sip, "Thank you, " he said to both the bartender and the woman. It comforted him that she wasn't his enemy so he decided to introduce himself. He extended his bottle-free hand towards her, "I'm Irzael Kor'zielk. If you must know, the elemental plane of air merging with our world should purify the air and release the air spirits into the world." He shifted uncomfortably in the stool as he thought about what he left out. The city may very well be destroyed if it was deemed tainted by the air spirits. He got up and began to walk out the door, his mind racing at the thought of what would happen when the two worlds merged. He glanced at the map and headed west, to the shopping district.

"No problem sir." He said to the now leaving man.
He went back to hanging up an old banner he found. From like, the fifties or something. "Visit Senic Gambino Beach" it read. Fit with the theme, kind of retro, but still so very tropical looking.
"Nice"

"Hey, mister bartender?" Asked Mono, with a voice that sounded more like a five years old's than anything. She pointed to the poster, then tipped her head aside. "Where's that beach?"

"ooooh. It's so pretty. You like the beach?"
By now, Myst had hopped over the bar to get a better look at the poster. On the way, she probably hit Flare by mistake, and might even have spilled her ginger ale. Myst didn't care, though. She wanted the beach, and her gleaming green eyes showed just that.
