"for the record, my pants are still on." Leon interjected, giving the item of clothing in question a tug upwards, still in place, until he gets up.

Sosiqui then leaned in closer to the handprints. Maybe she could catch if there were fingerprints there? The dried blood was flaking however, and the fingerprints entirely smudged beyond evidence. It did reveal to be a slightly larger left hand. Istoleyurvamps Going to the windo, he wondered if it had come from the outside or inside. And if it might have been used as an entrance or exit. The window revealed a neatly punched hole somewhere along the bottom. Fragments of glass seem to be pushed inwards slightly, other fragments hanging at the window sill. It seems like a fist-sized hole at the bottom leading to jagged pieces at the top, how it was still holding together was another mystery. Lividpeas Kat is inspecting the ??? on the floor. There are a lot of fragments of glass on the floor covered in old blood.... Oniongrump Ryan wandered over to the cloth. He didn't dare pick it up, however. But he did nudge it over to see if it had any hidden clues. It was just a piece of old cloth that smelled really bad. It had a sort of familiar smell, but it was hard to identify from far away... On the cloth are old stains of blood, or something else? Bloodlust Dante to use the belt's tine to get the note out from behind the grate panel. The note fluttered a bit but then got caught in the grate along with his belt. Congrats Leon, you are now beltless. The note is also still behind the grate. pinchmonster He leaned down to peer at the table. There are extremely thick, sharp gouges on the table, made with perhaps a very thick, sharp weapon....? There is also glass to the other side of the table, closer to the window. Random Artist She crawled under the table to inspect the legs, peeking up at the underside along the way. Under the table is a logo, carved in wood. It seems to be from a while back. It spells out...

"Theodore Ross. Call me Tuck." The words seemed to encompass everyone in the room as a general greeting, and Marcus was given an odd look as he watched the byplay between the other moon and Leon. "I guess they weren't that powerful," Tuck mumbled to himself, shaking his head as he briefly shifted on his feet. "There seem to be some huge marks on this table, and some glass, here, too," Tuck raised his voice as he straightened, rubbing his chin. Herryk mused softly,
Tuck does too -- he scowled. It was difficult not to respond to the draugr's odd speech in a similar way.

Madison straightened, glancing down at Leon as someone mentioned him not having his pants on. Oh, good. He was wearing his pants. She shot up a silent prayer of gratitude before moving over to study the top of the table along with the unfamiliar trainee she saw there. "Hmm. Weapon or... claws?" she murmured, squinting to see if there was any evidence of blood along the scrapes on the table. "You new?" she added, offering the trainee a small smile. "Don't worry. This doesn't happen all the time. Usually it's worse." Great comfort, Maddie.

The death of the council was a mystery to say in the least, and it was something that intrigued Deryk. He just hoped that in investigating, he wouldn't end up getting himself in any deeper trouble than he needed to be. While some others were moving about and checking this or that out, he went on over by Leon to see what he was doing with the grate. Oh. There was something in there. "M-maybe we should try and get the grate out?" he suggested.

Theodore glanced over at the pretty one who addressed him, a big smile brightening his features. "That obvious?" Tuck glanced over the pieces of glass that littered the table."....worse?"

"Nice to have you on the team Tuck. Like Madison says, this isn't that bad. But... I expect we'll have some mission to hell in a week or so?" Marcus smiled. "Once a month we get the tough stuff, but as a trainee, you'll be pretty okay. Usually keep you to larger operations or small units with your seniors." If the seniors survived was another story. Looking at the the window, the question of how the hole was made had been somewhat answered, Marcus decided to look up at the ceiling.

pinchmonster Tuck glanced over the pieces of glass that littered the table. The pieces are all slightly curved. They are a delicate white shape, similar to what one would find from drink glassware.

The piece of paper was regarded with a curious stare from Jason. He had heard of the death of the council (it was impossible to not have, everyone had been talking about it). And while he was Hiding in his room for days on end trying not to think about it, he had wondered...whom had done it. He had a pretty good guess, though. Even so, he stepped into the room that had previously been off limits. He felt strange though. The room appeared normal, compared to the blood spattered gory scene that was the description given to him. It seemed everyone was already busy trying to examine the area, and he overheard Deryk suggest trying to remove the grate. With a click glance he could see it was bolted, so tugging on it wouldn't work. "Perhaps we could use our weapons to remove it?" He suggest to them, thinking that he could try and pry it out with his sword.

Ryan's wrinkled his nose at the scent coming off of the cloth. He would have left it alone, and yet there was something familiar about it too. Not to mention the stains. Though from where he was standing, he couldn't tell if it was blood or something else entirely. Either way, in spite of his good judgement he finally picked up the cloth to get a closer look.
Yep... the smell was worse closer up.
When Saya called to them, Ryan looked over his shoulder and gave the other moon a friendly wave. "Find anything?"

Hm. No blood. Interesting, especially how they seemed to be swooping marks. In, out. Not just dragged through the table edge. Hm. She smiled at the trainee when he spoke. "Kinda hard to explain - newbies have this sort of thing to them. Um." She waggled one hand, failing to find a proper word for it. "Innocence, maybe. And oh, yeah, this one's easy. The blood's all dried up. It's mostly clean." For a moment, vivid memories of the slog through the Lair assaulted her, and she took a step back, steadying herself against the table. But she wasn't going to tell him that. No point. "You see a lot, in this job - but at least you know it's protecting people," she added, quietly.

Marcus made a face at the ceiling. Nasty. Still, it was worth looking at, such as what direction the blood had been splattered, or it any grooves had been left by a weapon or shrapnel.
He investigated the ceiling further.
