Any kind of baked sweet was a bit too tempting to overlook really. Still, he was a bit amused as he was told her room again. Still, apparently that meant showing up in his natural form was acceptable. It left him a bit curious as to how her minipets would react. Would they recognize him, or...? Hmm, there was little use in pondering over it too much. He'd cross the bridge when the time came, but for now he had a delicious treat to enjoy.
Though, really, Xiu was a strange one. Inviting small creatures over for tea and snacks. He'd keep it to himself, but she was a bit peculiar. It was fairly adorable though. He paused slightly at that point. It was... really tempting to tell Etzer, but that would only further that relationship, wouldn't it? He was definitely keeping the Baku's cute side to himself. Even if he couldn't hate her for his brother having a crush on her. It wasn't her fault... well it was a bit. If she wasn't so sweet there wouldn't have been a problem, but- well all things regarded. Etzer just should have known better than to outright tel him he liked a girl. It was DEFINITELY Etzer's fault.
He'd managed to procure his treat to nibble on with her help. He'd only just licked a bit of frosting and moved to take a bite of one of the berries when a few oh too familiar names slipped from her lips. To which both ears perked before drooping sheepishly as he looked at her a bit too innocently for his own good. Sure, she thought well of them, but he was well... a bit more than knowing them. Still, he wasn't going to just blow his cover. He did give a slight nod to the question of if he knew himself and his own brother before intending to return to his treat.
Ah yes, delicious sweet treats. He carefully adjusting the thing again before taking a bite and happily working to munch it down, as gentlemanly as possible, until she spoke again. Which greatly interrupted his joy at receiving such a kind offering as he nearly choked on the cake in the process. She really was so close. At least guessing who would have been the right owner. If he was a minipet anyway. Still, he was too busy working to cake the crumbs he'd tried to inhale back out to give a proper reply.
And that was the day that Xiu learned a fox could cough.Kaiyumi Xiu... keep going you got this...

When--or if, rather--Xiu ever found out his true identity, she was probably going to be really embarrassed...but until then, she was quite content to dote on this particular fox. He was quite sweet, really, and very pleasant company to be around. There was a small voice in her mind that was telling her that something amiss about this "mini", but she easily pushed it aside, dismissing it as a silly thought.
How terribly trusting of you, Xiu.
Her pink eyes visibly lit up when he acknowledged that he was acquainted with Molan and Etzer, her tail wagging with excitement. However, before she had a chance to say anything more on the matter...
Was he choking!? Alarmed, the ghoul immediately rushed to her feet, hastily setting the box of desserts down in favour of moving to the fox's side and rubbing at his back. "A-are you alright?! Do you need water?" She instinctively glanced up despite the fact that she knew that she didn't have any with her now. She could feasibly bolt upstairs and grab a glass in the next few seconds, but that being said, she was hesitant to leave the "mini"--the coughing "mini"--alone, even if only for a short time.
As she continued to rub his back, brows creased and lips curved into a frown, all of her previous curiosities and worries were effectively washed away...including her attempts at finding out who his "owner" was. She was hoping that he would stop coughing soon, otherwise she would probably have to pick him up--because she wasn't just going to leave him here--and rush him upstairs for some water.Raja NOPE, SHE DON'T GOT THIS :C

It would be an embarrassing day for the both of them. Molan for allowing someone, a friend no less, to go on thinking he was a minipet for more than a few minutes. And Xiu for... obviously reasons. Likely for not putting together ice fox, horns, and bells as it being a clear indication that Molan was... Molan. But that all aside. Xiu was truly too trusting.
She'd at least seemed so pleased, if only momentarily, at being on the right track. He'd had to give a slight wag of his own tail in response. Yes, excellent, even if it wasn't a good thing for him. And then the terrible issue of trying to inhale a cake.
Because that was smart.
Some part of his mind might have panicked as she got up so fast. Jack help them all if those treats had hit the floor. It would have been something far more concern worthy than him trying to cough up a few crumbs. It was no more severe than those times one got to eager and tried to breath their water. Really. He'd be fine.
Thankfully, they hadn't ended up on the floor, but beside him. Though, now that he thought about it... yes. There it was. There was his treat, now on the floor in a mess. It was the end of the world, he'd dropped it. He was not only stuck coughing still, but a slob. He could not be forgiven for his sins. Certainly Xiu was trying to help though, patting his back as he worked to cough up crumbs. It was more irritation that kept him coughing than a lack of oxygen. Nope, he could breath fine, he... just... couldn't get the scritchy bits out.
So instead, even as she was offering water the most he could try and do was stifle the coughs a bit by lifting a paw. Which didn't really do anything, it was just one of those 'off' mannerisms that most minipets shouldn't have. Really, couldn't he just get the crumbs out already and be done with this. At this rate he'd end up carted off or something, and that... THAT would be awkward.
He did give up on covering his snout after a moment, trying to lift a paw to wave her off. He was fine. Fine. A few crumbs was not going to kill him. He just needed a moment to properly cough up cake and then mourn the loss of a perfectly good dessert. He'd get through this.

She didn't seem at all concerned about the dropped dessert--it was a pity, yes, but there were plenty more where that came from. What--or rather, who--she was concerned about, however, was the fox who she had kind-of-sort-of befriended within the last hour. She was so distracted that she didn't even seem to notice the peculiarity of his actions, such as the fact that lifting a hand (or paw, in this case) in a reassuring manner was much more of a person thing than a mini thing.
She did settle down though, crouching on the ground directly beside Molan as she stared at up him with round eyes. Both her tapir-shaped ears and her tail were drooping, though she took solace in the fact that, if he had enough energy to wave her off, he was probably okay.
After a few seconds passed, she decided that it made her antsy just sitting there doing nothing. Lifting her finger in a "just a minute" gesture, she straightened up and rushed off, zipping up the stairs. Only a few seconds passed by the time she returned, a glass of water clutched precariously in her hands.
"Here, this might help a little," She offered, her ears still drooping as she crouched down beside him again. At the very least, even if it didn't help with the crumbs caught in his throat, the water would probably ease some of the soreness from all that coughing the poor thing was doing.
She certainly hoped Molan didn't walk in right now (hahaha).Raja Xiu says there are more important things to focus on! DDDD:

Well he was concerned with it. That thing was pretty tasty. Though he also knew he wasn't going to croak from a few crumbs, Xiu didn't seem so sure about that. Then again, if he dissipated because of a cake he would had probably stayed in his room for a week. Or more. Because that kind of failure? Well he pride just wouldn't have been able to handle it. So instead, he merely watched, start a bit at her as he worked to try to stop stop coughing. It was easing up, perhaps just a bit.
Not that you could really tell.
So as she lifted a hand he merely stared and continued to will his body to chill it and give up on it. Because those crumbs seemed rather stuck on sticking where they were. Though thankfully, he was starting to slow down on the coughing by the time she got back. Xiu was, as a side note, surprisingly fast at going up and down those stairs. This likely had something to do with the fact stuff seemed to happen around their school a lot.
...just maybe.
Still, she had a cup. Not a bowl, a normal cup in her hands. He coughed again, staring at her with the most blank look again for a few seconds before once more he let out a bit of a cough. Really? Yes, water might be nice, but.... but...
All the skill in the world with balancing would not make a snout to cup situation work. What was he going to do? Shove his entire face in there and lap at it? ...well that might work. Maybe drown him in the process, or get his nose stuck in there and then drown. One or the other. Then again, Xiu would probably yank it off his nose the way she was doting. The ghoul really liked minis. Something he could appreciate of course.
...even if this was terribly embarrassing. Ok, his pride aside, after he managed a light cough he did sit up a bit, inching closer. Might help, couldn't hurt. But he wasn't sticking his nose in there. Though he wasn't above leaning close enough to lap up a bit of water carefully inbetween the few last little coughing attempts his body was trying to make. But his ears were still low, and his tail limp on the couch. He was properly ashamed of what he was doing, even if it did help.
But it was, at least now, obvious she wasn't going to have killed a minipet with a cake. Congratulations Xiu, you have avoided that achievement for now!

...Right. Right. Getting a cup for a fox was not...the smartest idea, that was for sure. She had the decency to meet his blank look with an apologetic one, looking somewhat helpless. Well...she could rush back upstairs and get a bowl or something, she supposed? Or--oh.
Eyes widening when he made an attempt to lap up the water, she slowly tilted the glass towards him, cupping her hand beneath it just in case she was careless and tipped the water too far. "I'm sorry," She squeaked out, noting that he--understandably--looked none too happy. Xiu was feeling a little ashamed with herself too.
(...On the bright side though, she hadn't killed him. That was a good thing. Very good, yes, not killing your friend's minipet).
When it seemed like his coughs had settled down, the baku breathed a sigh of relief, gingerly setting the glass of water down on the table before folding her arms over the couch seat directly beside the fox and effectively faceplanting into her arms. After a good few seconds had passed, she finally lifted her head again, her voice tinged with concern.
"Better now?"Raja Suddenly Molan and Xiu's cooking lessons get really awkward (mostly for the former since the latter has no idea...)

Well, at least they both understood each other in that moment of communication. They both realized it wasn't the brightest of ideas. But it really was too late to correct it, so he had just given her a sigh as he 'd given up to get a small drink. Carefully. Daintily. And as neatly as was possible for a fox trying to drink out of a cup. Which was, surprisingly well. But only because he was as stuck up and prissy as he was. He would never have tried that with one of his minipets.
Did Xiu do that regularly with them?
He did give up as a few drinks, voting that he could get a proper drink back in his room. Tea. Nice soothing tea to calm his nerves and let him relax away all of this embarrassment. At least temporarily. He carefully arranged himself on the couch, laying down a bit after the few quick laps which did help to deal with the fact his throat was a bit agitated from it all. Xiu was thoughtful, even if she... didn't always make the most logical choices. He only got to flop there briefly though as the fellow demon shifted to rest her head on her arms to stare at him. which resulted in him scrunching up a bit so as not to go nose to nose in any way as he pushed himself back up to a sitting position.
And then an odd thought occurred to him. Why he felt the need, but... it was there. It had to be done. And so, he lifted a paw, and lightly pressed it on her nose. There might have been a boop noise in someone's head as he did that. Maybe.
It just needed to happen so it did. And that made everything a bit better, even if he was still sitting a bit awkwardly and rearranging himself neatly on the couch again. Also, there was still the sad remnants of cake on the floor. No, he wasn't out. He'd made a fool of himself, but he'd live. His pride might not, but he'd physically live. So he gave her a small, dignified nod at the question.
And then gave one last little cough. Jacking crumbs.Kaiyumi He'll live. But yes, there will be awkward pandas. PS: You might have just been booped. I'm going to say Etzer somehow caused that.

It was over, it was done. The coughing fit had passed, the mini was okay, and just...breathe. Relax.
She was going to need to brew herself a nice pot of tea once she was back in her room, that was for sure. After that harrowing (for her) experience, she just needed something to help her unwind. Lips curving upwards in a relieved smile, she reached up with the intention of giving the fox a light pat on the head...
...Only to blink in surprise when a paw was suddenly pressed against her nose. W-what?
It was only after she got after the initial surprise did Xiu let out a little laugh, lifting her hand again so that she could give him an affectionate scratch behind the ears. "I'm glad you're okay," She told him, her relief obviously very evident, "I'm sorry about what happened." And then there was the cake on the ground, which she had forgotten about but that was okay. Grabbing a napkin, she set to cleaning it up, pausing to glance over at him with a warm smile.
"Accidents happen! Though I'd be more than happy to share more cakes in the future if you'd like to join me again sometime. Invite Molan and Etzer too, okay?"Raja omg boop LOL ADFGHTGJD also tea addicts, these two.

Apparently, if one ever truly wanted to make Xiu feel bad, they need only tell her she'd accidentally killed a minipet. Like... stepped on one or something. With the way she'd freaked out over him having a bit of a coughing fit at least.
Yes, her favor of patting him on the head had been returned with a tap on the nose. Yes, this was all even on some grand world set basis. Just maybe. ...they wouldn't ever be discussing it so it was fine. And if Xiu ever mentioned a certain fox minipet he was going to laugh and pretend he knew NOTHING. Or just say he was around... somewhere. She'd never asked directly after all.
Still, she was laughing now, which was for the better. Even had had to admit a smile fit her far more than looking troubled or concerned. Okay wasn't exactly the word, but he wouldn't have normally worried over something like this. After being zapped by lightning, among other things... cake wasn't something he worried over. Not that Xiu knew any of that. Still, he did flop down a bit at the scratching behind the ears. Even the most proud demon couldn't deny that there was something to be said for that. Though, even if she apologized, he didn't really blame her. If he hadn't been so foolish as to be surprised over something he wouldn't have choked. ...wait did this mean he might not get ca-
Oh. Well then no problems anywhere. He nodded his head a bit at the last part. Though he knew, if he ever visited in this form, there most certainly wouldn't be another him visiting at the same time. Regardless, he wouldn't turn down an invitation for cake sometime and merely gave a low little yap of a reply. Though really, he probably should have felt worse over letting Xiu think he was a mini for this long. But other than changing back to normal there really wasn't a good way to explain it like this.
So onwards with the charade.Kaiyumi They really are. TEA FOR ALL.

All's well that ends well! With the fallen cake carefully wrapped up in a napkin, she moved to dispose of it in the nearby garbage can before letting out a sigh. Goodness, panicking really wore her down, surprisingly enough. Feeling a little more tired than she had expected, the ghoul wrapped the bakery box back up, balancing it on the palm of one hand as she turned back to look at the fox.
"Thank you for keeping me company today! I think it's best that I get back to my room though." Stepping towards him, she gave his another scratch behind the ears before leaning down and kissing the top of his head...a habit she had when it came to minis she that had grown particularly fond of.
It was probably the best for both of them that this charade kept up. Perhaps she'd find out eventually, but for today...
"Will you just wait for Molan up here?" Otherwise, she could always invite him upstairs until the boil returned from...wherever he was.

Yes, everything had ended just fine. He wasn't dead. He'd gotten cake. And Xiu was NOT aware of who he really was. She was even back to being just fine and dandy. Though she was packing up her things as she rearranged himself on the couch a bit. Perhaps this was a good cue to run off as well. Maybe hide in his room for a bit with some tea. That actually sounded like a great idea. He'd do that.
Soon.
Both ears flicked up as she spoke and a slow nod offered. Right, he was thinking entirely the same. Though he did pause at the scratch, and then-
...Xiu could never know. He had to now make it one of his purposes in life to ensure she NEVER learned of his natural form. Ever. Or of the ones any other Isukuns had. Nope. This would have to be a lifelong secret. Or he'd have to explain why he'd let her kiss him on the forehead, even if she'd thought he was a mini. He merely sat, stock still. Frozen in place as it happened before staring up a bit bewildered. She. Could. Never. Know.
...
At the final question he did finally manage to move, lifting a paw to gesture down. Yep. He was totally going to his room. Definitely. Before this got more complicated. He'd already sort of made a big enough mess for the day as it was. And so, with that, a deer in the headlights stare still on his face, he gave her a light, awkward bow, his head dipping a bit after he stood before quickly, VERY QUICKLY, scurrying off down the stairs.
Nope. No more things to add to the reason she could never know. Nope nope nope. And with that, he scampered off down to his room to try and figure out how he was going to keep this a permanent secret.
And what to do if Xiu ever asked about the fox minipet.Kaiyumi XD You can reply again, but he's like 'OH JACKING HELL NOPE' and off down the stairs. Pfffft

My, he seemed to be in quite the hurry. Blinking after the mini, Xiu simply smiled and shook her head before turning to retreat to her own room.
Hopefully she'd meet that sweet fox again. She'd definitely have to visit Molan sometime so that she could share some tea and treats with the both of them.Raja /whispers here have a closing tag of like...two lines.
