The idea of fighting was still less than appealing to Irene. When she received a surprising text message from one of the Eternals she had met during her little crusade, she had first disregarded the invitation. Sparring was unpleasant. She wasn't sure she would ever be able to do it with Iris again, after what happened, and she wasn't sure she trusted herself around other people just yet. She also just plain didn't like it.
But after mentioning it to *********, she found herself showing up after all, carrying her team's guardian in her arms. There was already a bit of a crowd there, and for a moment Irene hung back, just watching. Maia was easy to spot, and Shangri-La was nearby. There were a few other knights that she'd never met, as well as some other senshi, and even a couple of cats! Irene checked her purse to make sure she had her inhaler and extra allergy medication, though she had taken some before powering up, knowing that she would be accompanying ********* to this meeting.
What surprised her most were the civilians, though. Irene had expected this to be a powered gathering, and had come in senshi form because of that. That there were normal people there meant that some of them hadn't transformed, or there were more people involved than she had imagined. One of them, dragging one of the knights around, even looked familiar- Irene thought about it for a moment before realizing that this was the waitress at that diner she'd had pie at with Yvette. That was kind of surreal.
She knew that ********* wouldn't let her stay off to the side all night, and she didn't really want to. So once she had assessed the situation, she walked towards Maia, nodding at the people she passed. When other people began to introduce themselves, she straightened up a bit, then dipped into a curtsy. "Sailor Irene." No, wait, that wasn't entirely accurate. With a burst of pride, she dipped again and corrected herself. "Super Sailor Irene, that is. And this is *********," she added, shifting the cat in her arms.

Sessrumnir shrugged in response to Palatine, still grinning in amusement at the whole situation. He didn't know about obtaining invitations, but since it didn't seem like they were going to be kicked out, he didn't think there would be a problem.
"Ranking...?" he paused, staring at Pandora curiously, his grin faltering for only a moment. "Are you unfamiliar with the terms knights use? Either way, I'm just Sessrumnir of Jupiter. No need to denote superior or inferior levels with me. We're all on the same side, aren't we? So does it really matter?" He dealt enough with rank in his civilian life. He was tired of it and never wanted to return to it. He knew his worth as a human, and he didn't need a special name to let others know that. If they thought he was worth s**t, fine. If they thought he could be useful, even better.
"You should be able to feel it, though. These oh-so-important power levels, I mean," he added with a casual wave of his hand, wondering why Guardian cats weren't giving these new senshi more information when they were awakened. At least the basics. Knights, he could understand since they sometimes awoke alone, but senshi shouldn't have an excuse. "Thanks for the welcome," he said with a wink, "Where's the food?"

"There's nothing wrong with old magic," Zia snarked at the knight who seemed to bring up the differences between senshi tech and knight magic. She might've been oversensitive to the fact senshi tech mystified her beyond all reasoning and found knight letters to be elegantly simple. And she was very attached to mirror magic. Not that she had any idea who the hell Sessrumnir was and was always quick to correct anyone in the first place.
A girl walked in and she couldn't place her at first. She mostly just noticed her because it was always jarring to see a civilian hanging around. Not exactly self aware, since she hadn't powered up in ages, but it's not like she was looking at herself. "Oh! Or- nevermind," It was probably rude to go around shouting civilian names, whether you recognized them or not.
"There's food? what?"
Alfheim tried to gravitate towards the corner. He so didn't want to be here. This was like that party your friend tells you is going to be so much fun except you get there and your friend ditches you and everyone already knows each other so you just stand there. And boy did he know how to awkwardly stand there.
Though, it did bring him closer to the door, which was fantastic except he was pointed out before he could run for it.
"Introduce yourself, a*****e." Eloquent little sisters and all.
"Alfheim," He mumbled quietly. And after an awkward stare off between them. "Alfheim, Page of Earth. Uh. Hi?" Ugh, why couldn't he just go home and go to bed already?
"I'm Zia, pet human," She said flippantly once she was satisfied with his announcement. Maia had been the one to extend the invitation to her, even if she didn't know the other senshi running the show, she already felt pretty at home. "No, but seriously, is there food?"

Lassell, lightly nibbled his bottom lip as he walked into the gymnasium. He had been informed that he needed to get some sparring in. He quietly wandered into the gymnasium and surveyed the crowd to see who was present and who was just arriving. He was one of those people who were just arriving. Being punctual was something he was taught when he was growing up. He was a little nervous about the idea of sparring with complete strangers. But as he looked around some more he recognized some faces but not all.
But one particular he recognized Zia, the apparent person that is not fond of him but he also saw Maia. He quietly joined the crowd gathering in front of Maia and Pandora. Well, it was a first time for everything and sparring with others other then Maia could widen his knowledge on different sparring techniques. Some of which focused more on defense others more on offense. He lightly blew out a breath and stood near the back but mid-center of the group. Maia had extended a invite to him to join in and he couldn't turn it down, he definitely needed to work on his skill.

Orah dropped her eyes and shuffled a booted foot.
"Yeah, I know, but..." Well, it was hard to come right out and say that she was afraid to power up. Though, with the amount of senshi and knights that were here, more than she had expected, it was starting to look like a really silly thing. Surely here of all places was safe... Even if she were found, it was hard to think that they wouldn't help her. Still... the nagging thought was hard to put behind her.
Nodding at the suggestion of where to put her bag, she turned and sort of shuffled over to the 'safe zone', dropping her bag and herself to the floor as she looked back over the group. She put names to faces as they were called, storing away the information for later. Maybe when things got going, she could transform and join in... she wanted to participate, but she suddenly felt very much like the one kid at the party who didn't know anyone and hung out awkwardly on the sidelines.

Pompeii had run into Maia earlier in the week and was glad to see the senshi that first saved her a**. When the red head told her about the training session Pompeii wasn't sure if she should go. Crowds were not really her thing and added to the fact that they would be fighting? Really not her thing but as the night wore on Pompeii knew she needed training and badly.... and she owed the senshi for the aforementioned saving.
When the time of the session arrived Pompeii was only a bit late as she knocked on the door of the building, and went inside to be greeted by several people; knights, senshis, and guardian cats alike. "Oh I don't think I made enough." She said softly as she let the plastic grocery bag of sandwiches drop to her side. There were so many people here. "Um. Hello."

Maia smiled at Julienne and Sheena and nodded for them to go ahead and do there thing, thanking them once more before looking back to the door, just in time to see Zia pull Alfheim through it, making her smirks. It seemed Zia's poor brother wasn't any less reluctant than the last time she met him.
"Hey, Zia," she said with a wave and smiled at Alfheim, "it's nice to meet you again. Glad you can come. Try to mingle a bit." She turned again looking at the door watching for other's to come in.
Next came Orah, whom Maia looked at slightly confused wondering why the girl hadn't powered up. She smiled at the girl recognizing her from the diner, but decided to mention it later to the girl.
Two knights followed Orah, neither of which Maia knew at all, but she still smiled politely and nodded at there introductions. "It's nice to meet you both. I am really glad you both could come. This was rather impromtu, but however you heard of it, welcome."
She noted names and her mind organized them to there faces. She had quite the memory for recall, which she was grateful for. It had come in hand over the last 4 years. She did notice a boy come and and practically hid himself away, but Sheena seemed to notice this as well and headed over to the boy.
She grinned when Irene came in with ********* and when to greet them both as they were introduced to Pandora. "Hey Irene, Hi *********. Glad you both could make it," she noted Irene's new outfit, "Congratulation on the upgrade. Glad to see you rank up."
She turned hearing Sess being rather rude to Pandora and leveled the squire with a look that said, to watch it. She would be sorely tempted to use him as a demonstration if he kept it up. "There is no food," she said quickly mostly ignoring the rest of his words.
She shook her head at Zia and sighed. Zia was being, well Zia and she felt bad for poor Alfheim. She turned back to look at the door and noticed Lassell coming in followed by Pompeii and she waved to them both.
She looked to Pandora, "this was a great idea. I'm really glad to see so many people show up."
Sheena ran over to Ian, who was attempting to hide himself away and frowned at him before decided to pretty much steal his post. "Now, now, none of that you. Power up and go meet the other's. That's the idea here, getting to know your ally and helping each other get stronger. No sticking to the wall."
She nudged the boy ankle, attempting to give him a push in the right direction.

More new faces, boy oh boy. New Senshi, new knights; new, new, new. And of course, Butt-Winged Ginger #2 didn't know the names of half the people and cats there, or if she did, she couldn't match said names to their owners. Seeing as how this was a reoccurring theme, she had bowed to the inevitable, given up any attempt to seem cool and all-knowing, and went the practical route.
HELLO, MY NAME IS: Pomona
The blue sticker didn’t exactly go with her too-frilly red and gold outfit, but that was half the point. She figured that short of grabbing a megaphone, this was the quickest way to get introductions done. Following that line of reasoning, she had brought a pack of the stickers and some Sharpies with her, which she intended to give to everyone. She immediately offered one to the first person she encountered.
“ Want a sticker?”

All of Pandora's rebuttals fell short as she looked back at Sessrumnir. The Senshi understood he seemed to dislike the concept, and question, of ranking, but could not figure out why. Pandora moved her gaze over to Maia, and finding the Eternal's gaze towards the Squire firm, she decided not to press the issue further.
"If you'd like to bring food in the future, feel free," she suggested to him.
Shaking off the uncertain greeting, Pandora pulled a smile back on her face as Maia addressed her. "I thought we'd have three or four additional people at a maximum." They had a legitimate group of people here, and the Senshi's grin was full of pride.
Want a sticker?
It was technically addressed to someone else, but it was impossible not to overhear. Both brows raised, Pandora glanced at Maia and shrugged. It wasn't a bad idea.
"I'd love a sticker," a pause as Pandora squinted at the name, "Pomona."
After obtaining a sticker and attaching it securely to her white fuku, Pandora felt confident in continuing. Pulling back her shoulders, Pandora spoke loudly, and to the entire group of gathered individuals.
"Take a few more minutes to make acquaintances. Maia and I will be organizing you shortly, and then we will give a brief demonstration. If you have any questions, this is the perfect time to ask them."
[[ OOC: We're nearing the end of the introductory phase, and will enter the sparring phase (part 1) tomorrow. If you have not yet posted with your character, and would like to join us, you have roughly the rest of this evening and some of tomorrow. When the sparring phase beings, this thread will no longer accept new players. ]]

Lassell, shuffled to the side to avoid Zia at all costs before he waved at Maia lightly, he figured if he redirected his direction he would her, he was still not a huge fan of her. But, he did tell Maia that he would tolerate her for her sake. Before he made his way to mingle with the other pages, what harm could meeting fellow pages do. He nodded politely to the other pages before his path was stopped by Pomona handing out stickers. He blinked as she offered it to him before speaking up and then looking at it and reading it "Pomona" he read.
Before tilting his head to the side and asking Pomona "do you have pens for other people to write with? so their name tag says their name?" he asked it would just be weird if someone else's name is on it.

********* wasn't on duty tonight, but that didn't mean that she wasn't interested. She was a cat after all, and her curiosity would always get the better of her. The manx was content with just being toted along by Irene like an accessory as she took a look about. It was impressive. The guardian definitely was quite proud of Maia.
The sudden curtsy-dip caused the cat to squirm slightly, then let out a giggle. There were many things to be proud of, the senshi's introduction easily reminded her of such. Irene was a Super Senshi now.
The introduction got the cat to wave her paw slightly. "Hi everyone!"
Of course, a certain someone's mention of food easily caught the Mauvian's ears, which perked up quite tall. "Zia?"
The feline glanced about in an effort to visually locate the owner of the food-inquiry.

Athene had heard mention of fact that some sort of sparring training session was taking place and had eventually decided to go check things out - heavens knew he could do with the training and if turned out that the mentionings had in fact been rumours - well at least he'd get a patrol out of it.
Several others seemed to be there by the time that the dark-haired eternal managed to finally arrive at what had once been a gymnastics centre, things didn't appear to have kicked off yet though. Athene quietly slipping in and looking around.

Alfheim forced a 'heh' at Maia's greeting and swallowed awkwardly, still firmly rooted to his spot. He would mingle, maybe, later. This was weird. IT was so weird, everyone was weird.
He didn't recognize anyone. Or that's what he told himself before he remembered where he had seen Maia before. Oh, Zia's little friend, that made sense.
Palatine was also a familiar face, but he didn't know her that well, and wasn't about to go inject himself into that group. Because one guy she was obviously friends with totally counted as a 'group'.
*********> was especially off putting because what the ******** that cat was talking. Which shouldn't have seemed so weird given his sister's thing, but he'd only seen it once and he had started to assume, happily, that had all been a hallucination.
Discomfort all around.
Zia, on the other hand, was way more comfortable than she should be. Brushing off the food thing once it was apparent there was none and looking at *********> when she addressed her by name, and being held by Purple-One who was a less familiar sight than blonde one, but still one of ********* girls, she was guessing. "Yeees?"
She was just a touch disappointed with the knight turn out. Pompeii was familiar, Alfheim obviously so. There were only two she could note as not indexed yet, and she would have to snag them late, probably.
She decided to bounce out of the way, ending up next to Orah, totally on purpose, and nudging her with her elbow. "Just sightseeing?" She cooed to the other civilian. "You're from the diner, right?"
----
It. Had. Been. SO DIFFICULT. Well getting out here was. Columba was a pro at crashing parties she wasn't invited to, though. Still, it was so late! Her curfew was an hour ago and it took a lot of finesse to storm off to bed and then flail out of a window.
She had some complaints to voice up in here about how insensitive typical senshi scheduling was for the age challenged. Not that she was feeling nearly as confident actually executing her plan. The chibi senshi was a solid 5'3, but still obviously chibi as she walked in, and was instantly intimidated.
She took a deep breath. She was here to train like anyone else. She could do it! She adjusted her hat, announcing her presence with a quick introduction. "I'm Sailor Columba!" And she was here to learn how to kick some butt.

The grape vine had normally served Delilah while as a human so why would it not as a senshi? At least that was what the newbie in white prayed for as she stood outside an old gym. Rumor had it that some sparing practice was going on and Phact needed it.
As she took a deep breath and made her way into the building, the teen could already hear other voices. So at least the rumor was true something was going on.
As she turned the corner and came into view, Phact gave a small wave. "Hello. I hope I'm not too late to join."

In Irene's arms, the cat noticeably perked up when Zia approached.
"Oh, it is you!! I thought I heard you say something about food!"
With a slight giggle, she then motioned up to the girl holding onto her. "Zia, this is Super Sailor Irene. Irene, this is Zia... she's... a friend..."
It was hard to explain what Zia was, especially in a room full of others. Perhaps in a more private setting she could truly explain to Irene what Zia was, but until then, things would remain vague for the moment.
