Steff grinned at that, nodding a bit. "I understand completely." She snorted, shifting the purse on her bag. "Way too much to focus on than dating, anyway." She said, snorting a bit. It was a wasteful endeavor; she'd be going home to the Creator soon enough. She grimaced at what Lark said about school, nodding. Then she smiled at Ben.
"To be honest, he seems a lot more interesting than a weapon." She said, sheepishly shrugging one shoulder. "I think that's part of the allure of Amityville, too. Comin' and finding what it is you love." She had her life written out in stone from the first breath; be the good assistant. It was interesting to see how everyone else floundered when she had her own life figured out.
… Ish.
… Shut up.
"And jack, we're still newbies!" Sort of. She grinned. "We've got plenty of time to figure it out, right?" She smiled, shrugging her shoulder again without thinking about it and, when she realized what she was doing, reaching up to scratch at the stitches.

"Well, t'be honest, I got more time t'spare then I know what t'do with, Steffani," Lark giggled, the sound a little rough from disuse. Giggling? She rubbed her shoulder before glancing at Ben. The kangaroo was beaming at his bonded, and Lark shook her head.
"He's awrite, then," Lark grinned back at Ben before turning her attention back to Steff.
"Newbies, yeah," the blonde ghoul nodded her head, eyes sparkling bright, "findin' what we love." She was silent for a short moment before abruptly nodding her head.
"I like th'sound'a that."

Steff grinned at the giggling, shrugging a shoulder. "It's all about keeping busy, innit? I've been all over campus doin' just that."
She smiled after Lark had thought that over, nodding in kind. "Good. Just remember that, yeah?" She smirked a bit. "I imagine it'll help when everything gets rough." Or she liked to pretend that, anyway.
She looked at her notebook, then back at Lark, grinning a bit. "I should get back to my dorm. Before someone goes looking for me." Whoever that someone might be, she wasn't sure. But she didn't want to go back too late and find out the door was locked or somethin'.
"But hey, I know where to find you now." She nodded to the dorms. "And I'm in the Undead dorms. Second floor, just past the portrait of Victoire la Sanguine." Or something. She looked sheepish. "The names're on the paintings." She explained, putting her book away.
"We should hang out sometime." She grinned at her. "Whenever you need an ear, yeah?"
