"Well basically after dealing with the receptionist, who by the way has another grandchild, I finally got to talk to who I needed to. I managed to convince them to agree to mention what happened to your apartment. Since before hand apparently they were told to not do it all and with a short interview they are going to air a short piece on it. Other than that I got them to agree to have a crew present at the concert," He explained.

I'm assuming since they tried to media block the first attack that the don't want to be on the record with their bullshit. Let's hope this dissuades a public assault." She mused. "Anyways, good work. Sit down and relax a bit. We still have a few before rehearsal, so enjoy your rest. Also, we will have a guest joining us on our rehearsal tonight, and officially joining the band after the show tomorrow. Treat her well, okay? Do you remember Anna from the academy?"

When you look into my face, I shall never lie; Nick thought back for a little while about people from Dawn Academy. He rarely thought about the school because of the mixed emotions he had from that time. He did however somewhat remember a Anna working with the music teacher. "Kinda though not really all that much," He answered back.

"Anyways, she'll be here later whether you remember or not. It doesn't make too much of a difference either way. What matters is she is an amazing vocalist and a power user. The rest of it is just back story and all that bullshit. So what are your thoughts on the attack?" She asked, curiously. Nick was quiet, but he was also amazingly insightful and observant sometimes, and she respected his opinion on most matters. While she was talking she had been setting up the coffee pot, and she was now in the process of sweetening it and adding creamer. She very much loved her coffee. When made correnctly it was the most amazing beverage in the world. She took a moment to savor the flavor, closing her eyes as she held it in her mouth. Definitely made right, she thought before taking the entire pot of coffee over to nick's coffee table with his sugar and creamer as well. She didn't usually want to have to ******** around with getting all the way up and across the room for her coffee. Besides, if nick really cared he would have bought coasters or something, right? Whatever. She threw her legs onto the coffee table like a foot rest and leaned back in relaxation. "I mean... what the hell. full military assault on a musician.... and why would they risk attacking an internationally recognized music group... unless they really hate power users that badly. Why risk the publicity?' She wondered out loud. The attack was just weird... she shivered for a moment, lost in the horror of remembering the choking sensation of the tear gas before she forced herself back into the real world and the comfort of coffee. Sick. ********. Bastards.

When you look into my face, I shall never lie; Nick leaned back as he slouched down on the couch thinking about her question. He was wondering much himself about their motives since it seemed very strange. "What I would think if I were an outside observer would be that we pissed someone off with our band's political image. However doing such a public strike like that makes it questionable to me. After all if it was that I would imagine they would prefer to take us out quietly when we were some place less public. Also based on what they were using on us, and how quick they got out, they were clearly well trained and very organized. Now if I were some conspiracy theorist I would say they are some secret government agency created to deal with us power users....sadly even the logical parts of me are partly believing that," He explained thinking out loud.

"Deal with us, huh. I hadn't realized we needed 'dealt with'.... ******** hell. If that's the case then s**t is going to get a lot worse. I think i liked the thought of a pilitical assassination much, MUCH better. Anyways, we need to watch this situation better. We can't go screaming about the sky falling until we are sure, but we need someone watching that Sky-ship. Preferably someone with a low profile and no powers. If it really is a government organization to hunt power users, we are going to need outside help and a lot of it." Lisa thought out loud. "We are ******** in over our heads, aren't we. . ."

His fears were much the same and it worried him about what would be happening next....She was right though they needed some help from someone outside of all this mess but he knew few people in all honesty, he was not one of the most social people. "Yea we are...The only thing I can think of to do would be to get some help. If not from someone low profile and without powers like you said, or someone very capable and get some help from people with powers. Like a few of the other past students around town," He said trying to figure out what to do.

"We need to gather this help very quietly, as well. We get any large number of power users together at once, or look like a threat, they are probably going to come down on all of us hard. We need to make it look very casual. And we need to gather said help very quickly. They are already attacking, and we have not yet even begun defending ourselves. I still think it's important to have non power users involved. Otherwise we might be seen like Echo used to be back before they were destroyed, with all their power user user supremacy bullshit. We need to form some sort of Unity Corps. Just to defend people from whatever the ******** is attacking us, you know? I think we need to show people that power users and non power users are both capable of existing in peace without all the enmity that seems to be forming. Or maybe i'm just looking at it wrong. I really hope it's just someone who hates the band, but i don't see why they would be so damned prepared if that were the case. They had goddamned Helicopter support, nick! So he just did what he always would do he took a breath and put it out of his head. He decided to simply focus on the show tomorrow and practice tonight. "So aside from the insane military nuts attacking us things have been going well," He said trying to change the subject.

Yes, i'm a b***h, What are YOU going to do about ******** yeah! Our last album sold out in over 91 countries. only 105 to go, right? We are almost halfway to global dominion!" She said, laughing. "We are also literally topping the goddamned charts in 90 countries, with Vatican city as the outlier there. As a band, very few can say they do better than us. We are Gods who will inevitably make the history books as cultural Icons of the age". was smiling now. "We could tour the other 105, but a lot of those are small fish and warring nations. Still, though. It makes sense that we could sell BETTER in the nations at war... Hm... I wonder if we can convince our marketing manager to get us into a bigger audience. Now i'm strangely dissatisfied with our meager results." She said, biting her lip in worry.

When you look into my face, I shall never lie; Nick chuckled a bit at her end reaction after all it was funny she was dissatisfied with selling out in 91 countries. He was just happy that everything was going as well as it was. Hell he never though he would be a member of a huge internationally famous band. "In all honesty while we could possibly sell better in nations at war. The real question is are our songs even being heard in these nations?" He asked her.

"That is a good point. Who has time to go to a concert or listen to a cd when they are blasting away at people and dying. Well... i assume they need SOMETHING to do in the barracks, but you're right. That is the best we can do right now I think," Nick said sitting there as Lisa was getting up. He propped one of his legs up on the coffee table and relaxed a bit. "So practice later at the concert hall at the usual time right or are we going early again to make sure everything is perfect?" He asked her pretty calmly.

"I set up our security personnel to meet us there, one after the other. I thought they might run if they learned they were double booked before we had a chance to explain s**t. We need to get there now though, so we can keep everything moving right." Lisa said, grabbing her bag and her keys. "we'll take my truck." She said, referencing the black monster truck with the hot pink detailing she drove here in. It had plenty of cargo space, but it tended to be above your head.

After all they will be getting paid just the same," He said referring to the security. "But whatever lets get moving," He said opening the door for her.
