"Lean back and close my eyes," Avacyn repeated to herself before speaking up. "Alright. Thanks, Remar~. . ." As the back of her head met the headrest, exhaustion took its toll and she floated into unconsciousness.
. . .
An exclamation broke her doze; approaching footsteps drew her attention. The costumed, brunette girl's tone unnerved Avacyn, lower jaw hanging as she searched for a response. 'Yeah, what the ******** is going on,' she thought with frustration. 'I don't even know where the hell I am!' This all was just too much for one night and the increasingly odd timeline of events she was faced with was overwhelming her. She looked to Remarque for some semblance of an answer to the question, features stamped with confusion. Something, anything that could help her make sense of this.

"Language, Leto," Remarque chastised, though hardly seemed to be emotionally invested in the reminder. "We have a guest and I'd rather you not frighten her. She's already been through enough, I'd imagine."
He watched the other eternal senshi, wearing a rather indifferent expression despite his curiosity. "Now, as I'm sure you'll recall, I have never requested your presence without good reasoning before, so you must assume this is good. Or, at least, interesting. My wraith was acting odd—odder than before." He kept his voice down, still intent to keep the girl behind him in the dark for as long as possible. "Never mind the fact that they are a complete pain in the a**—I might be able to forgive that if they gather energy as efficiently as this one did with her. I mean, it was basically solid in a single jump through. But the problem is, I don't know if it was the wraith or the girl, so either they've gotten exceptionally productive or she's got a secret energy reserve that is just begging to be tapped. The wraith drained her pretty quickly though, so I figured," he gestured towards the edibles in Leto's hands, "Get her a little more conscious, see if we can't figure out what's so special about her. Unless you already know what's going on?"
He glanced to Avacyn, holding up a hand as if in friendly greeting; despite his interest in Leto, he didn't want the girl to think he'd forgotten about her. Remarque was interested to know why she was so special, but he was also desperate to know if Leto had uncovered any information about the oddities occurring courtesy their friendly neighborhood mirrorwraiths. Their attitude was cause for concern, and if they had found a new way to gather energy from civilians, he wanted to be aware of it. Being caught off guard was a dangerous thing this late in the game, and Remarque wasn't in a position where he felt comfortable not knowing what the hell was going on around here.

Language, Leto. The remark made her hands automatically ball to fists, an instinctive response to being spoken to like a child. As far as she was concerned, Remarque was lucky she didn't slap him right then and there. But fortunately for him, he had just spewed a whole bunch of really interesting things at her. Her eyes squinted to slits as she peered over Remarque's shoulder to eye the girl sitting behind him. Without a word to Remarque, she moved past him and walked over to their guest, squatting in front of her (nevermind the fact that she was in a miniskirt- what was being lady-like, again?). "Hey darlin, wake up. I brought you some juice and chocolate. It'll make you feel better." She nudged at the girl with the chocolate and juice box. "I'm Leto," she offered her a smile as she looked her over. "Maybe.... Maybe she has a special starseed? Powered? Unawakened? Something else entirely..." She was half talking to Remarque and half talking to herself to try and figure this girl out.

'Have some chocolate, she said. It'll make you feel better, she said.' A meme flashed through her mind along with an image of her passed out on the floor with little x's for eyes. Avacyn brushed the thought away, feeling a bit guilty. She wasn't always the most trusting of people, but to making that sort of judgement wasn't her style. Smiling weakly, she accepted the gift and said, "Thanks. I'm Avacyn."
After scarfing down half of the chocolate bar and chugging the juice box, she felt more focused and aware of her situation. Questions began to flood her mind. She felt her nerves flare up as she spoke nervously to the two in front of her. "Um, where are we?" She raised an eyebrow as she looked them over. "And what's up with your clothes?" And then she thought of how she'd come to this room: through a mirror. But that couldn't be right. "How did we get here again?" Her eyebrows furrowed as she retraced her steps. From room to room. From room to street. Why was she in this odd room, anyway? Wasn't she supposed to be heading home? That's right! She'd met the man only a short while ago and. . . "Who are you, exactly?"
As her comfort level deteriorated rapidly, Avacyn retracted in her chair. 'Welp. I'm about to be a meme.'

Remarque had left the consoling to Leto; he might have brought Avacyn here, but he suspected it would be easier to trust a strange girl than a strange man. He approached after Leto had made herself comfortable, and while he assumed the Captain was fine enough to answer all the questions, he figured he'd give her more time to sort out what she thought this could be.
"Who are we, exactly? That's a bit of a long story. Let's just keep it simple. Leto is my," he paused for the briefest of seconds to select a word, "friend. I asked if she'd come here to help make sure you're all right. I hope you'll humor us for the moment." He didn't want to give the girl more information than absolutely necessary until he knew more about her. On the off chance that she was powered—and just very good at pretending—he didn't want to give a senshi any unnecessary advantage.
"Let's focus on you for a minute, all right? We can answer questions after we make sure you're all right. Do you want to stand, have a quick walk around, clear your head?"
The suggestion seemed innocent enough; there was nowhere she could really escape to now that they were in Mirrorspace. The door they had entered through had disappeared, fading into a smooth wall behind them.
Doors, however, were far from being the only source of entry and exit in Mirrorspace. As one might figure from a place named after them, the mirrors were most fascinating, here. Glistening and gleaming in the false light, grazed with an ethereal appearance thanks to the smoky walls, the mirrors were more than merely eye-catching.
Not strangely, the Black Mirror, just a bit behind the two eternal senshi, seemed the most interesting. But it was more interesting now, than ever—stranger, now, than ever.
It was the way it sat, unmoving and seemingly devoid of life, and still somehow managed to display an otherwordly allure. It was the way, In light of everything else in the room, it seemed to be calling to Avacyn, beckoning her to it.

Golden eyes flickered with distrust at the lack of an answer she'd received. Obviously there was something the two didn't want her to know and that frightened her to no end. Avacyn tried to swallow her nerves before she responded, but her voice was cracked under the pressure, "Th- thanks. I- I- I'll do that."
Lifting from her seat, she searched the room for an exit. Where was the door they came in? 'Of course it's gone! Shouldn't have expected anything else in this place!' Her heart sank with disappointment and defeat as she searched the room once more.
Until her eyes met that strange mirror again. Instantly, she was overwhelmed with a fierce desire to be near it and felt her pulse pick up. The sound of her hear beat was growing louder with every second. 'One. Two. Three. Four. One. Two. Three. Four.'
Her voice wavered no more when she spoke, but instead was full of curiosity. "Excuse me," she spoke softly as she advanced, hardly aware of the others. Just the mirror and the beating of her heart. 'One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four.'
Just before the mirror, she came to a halt, face to face with her reflection, yet unsatisfied. Blood pounded through her veins and skull so loudly, her head was aching. 'One, two, three, four! One, two, three, four!'
Hoping to relieve the pressure, she raised a hand and pressed it to the surface. She was on the verge of tears just before the mirror gave way and absorbed her into it's darkness.
~ ~ ~
It was dark, cold, and quiet; the latter of the three she welcomed. The throbbing in her head was gone, but at what cost? Where was she now?
Avacyn wrapped her arms around herself in an effort to keep warm, wandering aimlessly through the dark until a dim light drew her attention. With no other possible destination in sight, she began her trek.
She continued for what felt like eternity in the dark as the light grew brighter and her heart skipped a beat as she saw her exit. Her speed picked up and the light began shaping into a mirror much like the one she'd been swallowed by.
The closer she came to it, the more defined her reflection became - one that didn't match her previous t-shirt-and-jeans appearance. Her feet came together as she looked over the girl in the mirror, dressed in what appeared to be a costume, but mimicking her movements perfectly. She looked down at her outfit: casual as she'd entered.
Head cocked, she reached out to touch her reflection. It rippled below her fingers and she pressed through it.
But had she been smiling so widely?
~ ~ ~
Avacyn stepped down from the mirror to the floor of the throne room, attire matching her strange reflection's. She looked different, felt different. She hadn't the slightest idea what had happened to her, but had a sneaking suspicion who might.

Both of Leto's eyebrows raised as she watched Avacyn casually walk through the Black Mirror like it was nothing. As if the mirror accepted and absorbed her. She stood in silence, completely mesmorized by the rippled surface, waiting for something, anything to happen. But there was nothing; no screams, like when she was thrown through the Black Mirror and corrupted, no movement, nothing at all. Until Avacyn stepped out of the mirror and she wasn't quite Avacyn anymore. A grin split across Leto's face as soon as she saw the now-fuku'd girl in front of her. "Well s**t..." She was in complete awe. "Remarque, what the ********?" Was all she could say as she stared at the girl who was now most definitely a Dark Mirror Senshi. This changed everything that the Dark Mirror Court ever knew. Leto was going to have far too much fun knowing that the Black Mirror can awaken- did that mean it could corrupt as well? She would have to play with that idea some other time.

For the brief time Avacyn was gone in the mirror, Remarque was completely still. He wasn't as vocal as Leto had been when the girl stepped out, though he was every bit as perplexed as he was thrilled. Part of this seemed like some sort of joke—like it couldn't be real.
But there she was, power signature and all. He didn't know her name, her sphere, but she was there.
Which meant they could continue on—even without Ares. He would have breathed a sigh of relief if he hadn't realized he'd already been holding his breath; instead he unfolded his arms from across his chest and replied with a short, unhelpful, "Huh."
Who would have guessed?
There was an awkward silence, he gathered, not quite sure what to say. Even after seeing it with his own eyes, he didn't know what to make of it.
The Black Mirror—creepy, still thing that it was—had sucked in a girl and spat out a senshi.
He could work with that.
"How, ah. How you feeling over there, Avacyn?" he asked, not quite sure what he was supposed to say to her without intimidating her with a wave of questions.

Avacyn took another look at herself, groaned at the fact that she was in a dress, and then directed her glance to Leto and Remarque. She replied with exasperation and confusion, "I think I'm alright, but I really need some sort of an explanation for all of this. What just happened and why am I wearing this?" She motioned to her outfit, which wouldn't bother her quite so much if the bottom half was a pair of shorts, pants, or something with two holes for her legs. Having never learned how a girl should behave in a dress, she blushed and awkwardly held the bottom of the skirt in attempt to cover more of her legs.
"Am I one of you guys now?" Whatever that was. Maybe circus performers? Magic and perception tricks might make some sense of what all she'd seen tonight.

Leto just sort of... Stared at Avacyn, or whatever her new name was, in complete awe. "Well, uh..." She scratched at the back of her head before shrugging her shoulders. "I don't have much of an explanation. But, uh, yeah, I guess you are one of us now." She couldn't help but laugh as Avacyn tugged at the hem of her skirt, remembering how distraught she was when her Senshi shorts turned into a mini skirt at her Super stage. She absent-mindedly wondered if she had remained a White Moon Senshi if she would've avoided the mini skirt. But right now their outfits was neither here nor there. "Welcome to the Dark Mirror Court, darlin'. Luckily for you, you awakened on the side that's trying to save our race." She flashed the girl a bright grin before turning her attention to Remarque. "Er... How do we figure out her name?" ((Sorry guys! I didn't realize it was my turn ;; I wasn't sure if you wanted to finish this so I posted anyway~))

Skirts were not something Remarque had to worry about, and were certainly not something he was ever going to complain about. He stood by idly while Leto did the welcoming, looking at the mirror suspiciously, still.
"Cat," he replied without much consideration. He had little fondness for cats of any alliance, though he was not without gratitude for the three that had helped him become what he was today. They had been able to identify his name and sphere, and unlock more power for them.
If Ares wasn't here to do the job, maybe one of the cats would know better. Not that he knew how to easily reach any of them, but Leto was the one in charge of all things Negaverse; he figured she would know how to reach one.
"Relax," he insisted to the presently unnamed senshi before them. "Things will make more sense in a bit. You'd do best to just take it easy, absorb it. Don't overwhelm yourself. Though, I'm sure you have plenty of questions."
…Where were they supposed to start?

Even without an answer as to what this "Dark Mirror Court" was or did, Avacyn couldn't help but feel a warmth in her heart that upturned the corners of her mouth. Whatever it was, she was part of something and that in itself was exciting to her.
Instantly aware of the creepy smile she'd been giving the brunette for the past few minutes, Avacyn neutralized her expression and suppressed the feeling before responding, "Our race? What does it need saving from?" Her brows began to furrow.
Avacyn nearly blurted out a dozen questions upon hearing that they needed a cat to figure out her name (whatever that meant), but stopped herself, remembering Remarque's advice.
'Cling to something normal. Cling to something normal. Okay, cats. Cats are good. Can't go wrong with cats.' She took a deep, cleansing breath and then smiled at the two. "I love cats! Where do we find the little guy?"

Leto couldn't help but laugh at the grin that Avacyn had plastered on her face, even if it was a little creepy. The fact that she was smiling put Leto at ease. "That, my dear, is a very long and complicated story. But for now, you need to know that you are a Senshi. You may have heard the term terrorists on the news? We're the same as them, but... Different. As Dark Mirror Senshi, we have Parallel souls, so we're not of the White Moon like the terrorists are. You have a home planet that you're named after, and a thing that you are the Senshi of, and you have magical powers- all of which we need to figure out by finding a Guardian Cat." She offered her a sympathetic smile, remembering how crazy this all seemed when ********* awakened her so many years ago. Turning her attention to Remarque, she shrugged her shoulders indicating how incredibly unsure she was about this entire situation. "I'll try and track down one of the cats, if you want to stay here and get her acquainted with... Well, everything? I'll call you on your compact when I'm ready and you can bring her to the location. I uh, don't know if I can bring a cat in here." She had actually never considered it before and now was not the time for more experiments. She didn't give Remarque a chance to reply before she disappeared into the nearest mirror so she could slip into her apartment and grab her cell phone to make a few phonecalls to some very close friends of hers. ((I've held up this RP long enough XD If you guys wanna continue and wrap when you're ready, I figured this was a good exit for Leto- you can assume she found a cat and called Remarque, etc. at some point and you can either poke a cat owner or handwave it! Thanks for involving me <3))

Terrorists? Leto, wanted to lead with terrorists. What type of reputation were they supposed to instill on the newcomers if they were introduced as terrorists?
Thankfully, Avacyn had been taking everything fairly well so far, so Remarque attempted to change the topic away from that after Leto left.
"If you like cats, you'll love the ones we have," he said, rolling his shoulders back and relaxing. "Talking cats. Who will be more than eager to explain how to fully access this new power you've been granted. Though, additionally questions can be directed to me. Where Leto left off—the Dark Mirror Senshi. We aren't terrorists, just misunderstood. The media labels us because they do not know us. We are often mistaken for the real troublemakers. And it isn't as though we can explain the difference to them without revealing too much about ourselves. Suffice to say, we are still human. We were just born with a greater purpose that they have yet to come to terms with."

Leto's overview of the Dark Mirror Senshi shed some light on her situation, but left Avacyn speechless and slightly nauseated. She was a terrorist? No, she'd said they were different - the ones saving their race from the terrorists. Hopefully, that would console her.
Her mind wandered to her senshi name and magical powers. As bizarre as it all sounded, Avacyn couldn't help but to contemplate possibility after possibility.
And along came doubt. How did she get picked for something like this?
The thought of Avacyn doing any sort of saving was laughable. Some of the smallest things caused her to nearly jump out of her skin. Hell, her cat's shadow seemed to be her biggest fear! How was someone like that supposed to help any cause against terrorists?
She watched as the brunette disappeared through one of the many mirrors in the room with wide eyes. It was going to take her a long while to get used to that bit. What was she thinking? It was going to take her a long time to get used to any of this stuff.
Her attention turned to Remarque. Avacyn had been feeling down with the talk of terrorists, but couldn't hide the growing excitement in her voice at the mention of cats. "Talking cats sound awesome! And they can tell me what my name is?" She sighed deeply with a smile. "They sound adorable!"
The pink-haired girl rerouted her train of thought as he continued to explain the Dark Mirror Senshi. It was obvious that she was relieved her greatly to hear that they were more of a secret organization rather than terrorists. "So we're like magical ninjas, or something?" That sounded like the premise of a game she'd buy.
