“I’ll suggest you power down before we continue much further.” He said “Just think about letting, or putting it away, whatever is easiest for you.” He nodded. “But as for appearance, yes, if I pulled my mask down in uniform I wouldn’t look quite as I do now, if it didn’t work that way I think the Order senshi would have put our heads on pikes by now, or vise versa.”

"I don't even have a mask, so I'd be pretty suitable ********." He shoved his hands in his pockets, watching the girl check herself out, and then stepped away to fetch a mirror. Small, battered, she could still at least get some idea of the birdcage around her hips, the boots, the skirts, the plaid, the mass quantities of hair -- that bit got an amused little sound.
"The position comes with some hair growth, I've heard. Could be worse. At least yours is contained..." Lyra's had been wild, everywhere; he didn't know how she prevented it from getting caught in branches and twigs and dragging in the dirt. "Well. Anyway, he's right, you should go human, otherwise people can sense you here."

Acanthite posed in the mirror, putting on her best purikura pout before laughing lightly at herself.
She nodded at Zac's suggestion, and closed her eyes. Her brows drew together as she concentrated, trying to get accustomed to the idea of her newfound double nature. Plain old Mayumi was still there, and came to her more easily than Acanthite had, though, and after a moment and a glow of light for modesty, the girl returned to her normal human self.
"I felt something like a power there, waiting just for me to command it," the girl said, leaning closer to the mirror again as she played with her hair (where had it all come from, and where had it gone?). "Like I could call up ... barriers or something." Mayumi struggled for the right words for the feeling.
She turned back to the two young men and made a sort of pushing motion with both hands. "I won't do it inside or anything because it felt like a lot of water but ... do you know what that is? I can just do that when I'm Acanthite? Like an attack or something?"

“Ever, if you wouldn’t mind taking the young lady out a few times? I think training would be good for her, and it’ll be safer if its you, the whole city can feel me when I step out.” He sighed softly. “But I think you can both use the practice.” He grinned before glancing back to her. “When you’re powered up, in uniform, then you’ll be able to call upon a set of powers, Unfortunately, not being a guardian cat, who…you’ll meet later I really don’t know what those powers will BE exactly. I would have a general idea if the white moon had gotten to you first, but they didn’t. It’s better for –you- this way believe me, senshi who we recruit from the ‘side of order’ suffer memory loss, it can’t be helped.” He took a breath and let it out… would you be more comfortable if we…set you up with an apartment in this building? We have good people whom you could trust and room with, and you’d be close to your new…mentor.” He glanced at ever with an amused expression, and to myself if nothing else.”

There were worse positions that Ever had been in than playing mentor; Zac's smirking got a raised eyebrow in reply, just a faint flicker of a smile, fingers sliding up through his hair and leaving it just as tousled as it always was. It was a smile that faded, though, as his eyes settled on the room around them, taking in the halfway unpacked boxes. Things had been less stressful, perhaps, abroad. Strange, but certainly not stressful...
He stepped away to rustle restlessly through a stack of books. "She a recruit not a convert, Zed, I'm sure she has somewhere to stay..."

Mayumi looked to Ever, then back to Zac, nodding. "Yeah, I have a dorm at Saint Mags." She smiled cheerfully. "Thank you for the offer, though. I may take you up on it in a few years after I graduate, so I don't have to go home or whatever." Turning in a slow circle, she surveyed the apartment again, behind all the boxes, and stopped when she was facing the white-haired boy again.
"How can I like, get in touch with you when I'm powered up, though?" she asked Ever. "I'll do my best in whatever training you can give me. Will we just set a schedule for lessons and hope we can keep the meetings, or is there some way for me to like ... magically call you or whatever when I'm Acanthite?"(( Sorry I am horrendous orz. We can probably wrap this one up soon? ;; ))

“Scheduled meetings work best, though I would vary your meeting places lest you wind up with someone realizing there is a pattern. But there are also these…” It’d been some time since he’d summoned the purple crystal that served as something like a ‘walkie talkie’ “They aren’t as accurate, but you can sometimes reach people. I find your best option is to feel out other people who are on the same side of you, and use them for networking.” He glanced at Ever expectantly, waiting to see what if anything he had to add to the situation.

"I. Uh." Obviously he was supposed to say something; he blinked down at Zed and then, despite himself, dissolved into a flash of a smile. Hard to stay serious. Just a hair distractible by Zed in 'serious business' mode. He had to work to look back up at Mayumi. "I don't have a job at the moment, so any time you need anything, just..." He shifted, shrugged. "Call me on the plain old phone if you want. Or the gem, if you must."

Mayumi nodded, glancing between them as they spoke. ... Then glanced between them again at Ever's momentary distraction.
"Um, okay," she agreed. Then she looked back towards the door. "I guess it's getting sort of late, and I should probably get back to my dorm before anyone thinks I'm up to something." The girl twirled her fingers in her hair. "I'll call if I have questions, and please, tell me if you need me to do anything. I really do want to help."
She put one hand to her chest, one finger idly tracing the spot at the top of her breastbone where the fractured hole appeared when she powered up. It was gone now, hidden like the deepest of secrets. Mayumi smiled. "Thanks for everything."
