Though the shifter doubted he would get anywhere if he suddenly proclaimed that he needed the roots of the great Aisha tree...he felt guilty for not telling them the entire story. Still as the male approached him and asked for his hands, he didn't resist allowing the rope to be bound around his wrists and he felt a moment of panic though he fought it. If they decided he wasn't trustworthy would they throw him over board? Swallowing he tried to shove that thought aside. He would just hope they would be reasonable.
"Th..thank you. I know I am putting you both in an awkward position." He murmured as he was then instructed to move to the boat. Pausing...when he noticed the death glare he was receiving from the radaku already on board. Closing his eyes a moment he stepped over the side and into the boat he wasn't sure if he should stand or sit...and despite everything he decided finally to sit down. He would be the willing prisoner and would do everything asked of him.

Jerarda's mind was a whirl, not only had she been expecting a bad home coming bringing a half breed to the islands now she had a shifter in tow. She had been prepared for the looks and comments for bringing Rishima to the islands but she had made her decision long ago that Rishima was more than worthy to be one of her sisters, he had even proven himself in battle against her as well to her elder. Which was all fine and dandy when it was away from the sacred home but now she was bringing him home, and going to request he commune with the sacred mother. But now she was bringing home a shifter as well...who ALSO wants to speak with Aisha....
Now she knew she could deal with Rishima, for she had complete faith in him being one of them. The alkidike would even fight for him to have the right to meet with the mother tree, but the shifter...he was on his own. She would bring him to the elders...and let them deal with him.
"This sickness must be devastating...or your insane.." She muttered to the shifter as she went to end of the boat. "I think we have everything Rishima, get into the boat and I will shove off."

Once the Shifter was in the boat Rishima climbed into the boat as well when Jerarda told him to do so, settling down on one of the seats and Itzal moved to rest his large head on Rishi's lap. The beast looked up at him with a happy look on his face before he returned to glaring at Takoda, obviously not about to share with anyone save for Jerarda since the Radaku knew her. Rishima lifted a hand to pet his companion, soothing him so that he wouldn't glare and growl so much. Once he'd calmed him he found himself looking to Takoda once more, finding himself wondering for a moment if they should bother with introductions... but decided against it. They shouldn't be too familiar or friendly with a prisoner after all. Especially given that they had no idea what would happen when they reached the island. Best that they try to remain professional he told himself.
Turning his gaze away the halfbreed allowed himself to instead watch the way that the water rippled against the boat, occasionally spotting a fish as it swam by, and various other things to distract himself from what it was that they were doing at the moment. Focus on where they were going he told himself, not on the fact that they were on a boat or the fact that they had taken a prisoner. As Jerarda pushed off he gave a little squeeze, his antennae twitching like mad when the reverberations that they had been picking up changed completely when they were in the water as opposed to when they were on the land. It was quite different, enough to send a shiver through his form. Another slight fear that he did his best not to focus on.
"I hope that we get their quickly." He murmured, flushed, then said, "Ahh... since the boat is so crowded. Far more so then they had been expecting when it was going to be just the two of them and Itzal. It was squishy but at least the boat was staying afloat, that was a bonus.

Pushing off was a bit more difficult than she had anticipated, probably due to the extra weight in the boat. Still once it was off the bottom she hopped in herself half her body wet from the salty water as she reached for an oar to paddle themselves towards the islands.
"So how do you know the ingredient is on the island? Are you sure your information is correct?" Her voice was hostile although she hadn't meant it, if she was bringing the prisoner she needed to know what to tell the elders.
"Grab an oar and help me paddle Rishima." She instructed even though she had yet to dip the paddle into the water. "What kind of sickness is this anyway? what proof do you have that it will be devastating?" These were all ligament questions, after all she had still yet to decide if he was going to remain in the boat if she discovered that his tale was just that.....a fabricated one.

Licking his lips he felt the sudden buoyancy of the boat as it lifted off the sand, it rocked percariously as the woman jumped in though it settled quickly. They were lucky that it was not a windy day, and that the waters were pretty calm they should make good time...unfortunately.
Blinking as he was addressed, he soon realized that out of the pair the woman seemed to be the one in charge. Some how even though she wasn't looking at him directly her words made him more uncomfortable than the growling radaku in the boat.
"Ah...I was told by a man from..." Should he really say it? A leaf tribe member had told him, but how would that man know? "Who was suffering from the disease, I have gathered the other ingredients...but this is the last one I need. " That was hardly a satisfactory answer. A sigh escaped his lips, "I am a healer....and what he was suffering from...I could not cure. Not with medicinal herbs...nor with magic...I could only at best lessen his symptoms...but every hour I waste he could be suffering...or dying in my home. " The pain in his voice was obvious there was no fabricating a lie with his description.

Rishima nodded his head as he reached over to get one of the paddles, setting to work moving the two of them forward slowly toward the other side while the Shifter started to tell them where he'd learned about needing ingredients from their island and why he was going there. So he'd met someone that had the sickness and was unable to heal him despite him being a Healer? That didn't sound good, did it? He shifted slightly in place before asking, "It's not something that you caught yourself, is it? How does it spread, did your patient tell you?" He found himself a bit worried that, if the Healer caught it from his patient what if he were bringing it along with him? He didn't seem to be sick from looking at him, so maybe he hadn't caught it himself? He sure hoped not. They might not be able to continue forward to the island if the guy had it, right? They didn't want to bring sickness there after all, especially since Aisha was there.
Maybe the fact that he said he was able to lessen the symptoms in a person with the disease meant that he could at least rid himself of it if any of the sickness got on him? He really hoped as much, glancing over to Jerarda to see what she thought of the idea as he worked on paddling. Surely if she suspected anything she wouldn't let it go, that much he was sure of.

Mid-stroke she paused for Rishima had brought up a good point, what if this shifter had the sickness? What if they were endangering everyone who lived on the island, she turned her head sharply to glare the shifter down. Alarmed that she had been so foolish as to bring the shifter with them...they could be putting everyone in danger. Even if he was a healer...if he couldn't heal the person who had gotten sick...then what chance would her people who had no healers?
"Give me a good reason to not throw you over board right this instant shifter. If you are bringing the sickness with you.."

Takoda froze, though it had been a consideration that had loomed in the back of his head, he had not developed any of the same symptoms as the man he had helped. He had no answers to most of the questions being thrown at him. How was the sickness carried? Contamination? Airborne? The healer ran the questions though his head, but considering the situation he had come across leading up to discovering the leaf tribe member...he could only narrow it down to it being a magically induced illness. Which sounded far fetched even for him.
"Ah... the man was alone, but he had been rescued by my....ah...my mate earlier one. Apparently there was a curse that was put into effect...and I think its a slow starting one. It effected the man who was there directly first...but from my understanding of what he was saying it will spread. I cannot guarantee that I am not contaminated, but my mate who had been with him as well did not show signs of the sickness. " Takoda felt a sinking sensation in his stomach. "I must get to the island...if the man dies ...I think that is the trigger for the curse."

Rishima's antennae laid back against his head as the Healer described what the sickness was like, how it might spread, and how the man's death might very well trigger a worse curse. How frightening was that? He shifting in place for a moment before looking at Jerarda, "If it's as bad as that I am sure the elders will really want to know." He said finally. He wondered if they would know about it or not. If they did know about it maybe they would know about the ingredients that the Healer needed and where to find them? He really couldn't fathom what the elders might know, how well connected they were to the whole of the world outside the island, and what they might want to do when it came to the cursed sickness that the Shifter had information about. He supposed that they could only hope for the best, right? Still, just hoping for the best didn't sit well with the half breed as a way of going about things. In fact he found himself wondering if there was anything that he and Jerarda might be able to do to make sure that the sickness didn't spread but he didn't say as much. Best not to speak those words out loud he told himself, not until they heard from the elders what they would do with the prisoner and his information.
"I guess it's best that we see what the elders think." He said both to those in the boat as well as to himself, there was nothing else that they could do at this point since the only one that had seen this curse up close was the Shifter that they had 'taken prisoner' and due to this everything that they were learning was second hand information. Best to have him talk once they got there, though between when they landed on the shore and actually arrived where the elders were located it was probably best that he didn't say anything as Jerarda had already said, just to keep their other sisters from getting anymore riled up then they would be over seeing Takoda on their island. He doubted very highly that this was going to go smoothly but they could at least hope for the fewest bumps along the way.

Jerarda gave a low growling sound in her throat, as if she was trying to mimic Iztal's growl though she wasn't trying to intimidate anyone at this point she was mostly voicing her frustration. She would have to make a decision and stick with it. The shifter was the only one it seemed with any knowledge of this sickness, and from what Rishima was suggesting she couldn't guarantee that the elders would know about it. Not...if the sickness was so new.
"Yes...the elders will want to hear about this.." She murmured in agreement with Rishima's assessment. The islands were gradually getting closer the great tree mother Aisha handing in the background being the tallest thing on the island.
"Tell me shifter..how long ago did you run into this man? How long do you think he has before this..curse may go into effect?" It was good to know just how much time they may have and if she was going to try and help...she would have to make a decision fairly quickly.

Takoda felt sick at the idea that the man was in fact dead in his house, he felt now guilty for wasting time even if it was gathering supplies for the trip and seeing his lover had been the highlight and ease of his worries.
So how long ago was it? Counting back, he realized it had only been a day in a half since he had left the man in his home. Just sitting he realized how tired his body was, the aches in his muscles and how tired his mind was. Sleep..when was it he had slept last? Right...briefly with his meeting with Jacinthus, and then he had snuck off to make sure he could get away without his lover throwing himself into protecting him. Rightly so...he could only imagine...how this would of turned out if the archer had come along.
"Only a day in a half. But I must hurry..I have no idea how quickly he will worsen.." Was his only comment.

The growl that Jerarda gave caused the Radaku to look up at her in a curious manner, his tail swishing as though he were quite amused by the fact that she was making a sound similar to his own growls. Rishima on the other hand was less amused and more worried, she didn't look happy at all, did she? In fact she was the polar opposite of that which meant that he would need to try to keep her calm if it got any worse. The last thing that they wanted, if the sickness was really as bad as what he said, would be to throw him overboard since it meant that the disease might go unchecked. He looked at the Shifter, over to Jerarda, then back again before asking, "Do you think that one of us should bring word to the Elders?" He asked of his sister, wondering if it would be safer for the Healer to stay in the boat with one of them while the other went ahead. Of the two of them he wondered if Jerarda should go ahead of only because, given her looks and gender alone, she was the more respectable of the two of them. He didn't much care for the idea of sitting in the boat waiting for her return but one of them would have to do so if they decided to split up.
Then again he wasn't sure what he thought of the idea of sitting along with the Shifter waiting for her to get back. What if they saw him, saw what he was, and assumed the worst? The very last thing he wanted was to look like he was spying along with a Shifter. He'd come to the island with meeting Aisha in mind, to be blessed to visit the mother of their people. At the same time, despite not wanting to risk the standing that he had worked so hard for he wondered if it would be better because it meant that, if the Healer had been exposed to the sickness, that they wouldn't have brought him traipsing across the island and passed countless members of their people. He would see what Jerarda thought of the idea and go from there he thought to himself as he did his best to speed of his paddling. The quicker they got there the better since the Healer was starting to sound more and more like some sort of doomsayer with the way that he was talking about how he had no idea how quickly his cursed patient might worsen. It was enough to make him just a little queasy... though that also could be the rocking of the boat.

Jerarda was still thinking through many things, presenting the shifter to the elders a new worry of being exposed to the sickness now weighing on her mind. Even if the man was being honest saying it was a curse ...a sickness besought from magic it only made her uncomfortable with the idea of bringing the shifter to the islands.
Looking to Rishima she rolled the words he had spoke around in her head. One of them inform the elders? That would be her, she would know where to find them and she wasn't positive it was a good idea to leave both a shifter and the halfbreed alone.
"We will go together. Word will spread before we even get to the shore. I am sure the elder's will be very aware of our presence ...wither we wanted them to or not." Came her rumbling reply. The shore was getting closer and closer and true to her word the sisters she could see were gathering and looking quite curious about the trio coming to shore. She was sure that someone had already bolted to inform the elders...or worse..summon them.

As the shore line became clearer as well the people on its beaches Takoda tried to bolster up some courage, after all even if he was a 'prisoner' if he was quivering and quaking in his boots they may think that he was too timid to be taken seriously. But he was facing an entire island of people who disliked outsiders...and didn't trust them as far as they could spear them.
What the woman was saying...what the male was saying didn't help to ease his fears.
"Ah..." What could he say of this situation? He hoped that the elders would allow him to speak his case? That he hoped that he wouldn't be killed on the spot?
"Please...even..if I am killed you have to ..try make them understand in my place. I need... the roots of your mother tree to make an antidote...I can tell you where the man who told me to get it is found..if you are able to get it.." Takoda knew that if he didn't tell someone else...the likeliness of him dying seem to be increasing by the second.

When Jerarda said that they would go together he gave a nod of his head, antennae twitching, feeling a bit of relief in fact. Truth he told he really didn't want to be left alone with the Shifter, sure that people would only think the worst due to the fact that he certainly didn't look like an Alkidike even if he was one at heart, "Alright, we will go together." He said, then gave a bit of a chuckle, "And you are probably right." Given that there were people gathering on the shore already it was likely that the elders would know soon enough that they were here if they didn't know already. Staying in the boat probably wouldn't be a choice any longer since the idea of them standing there while Jerarda went to find the elders might not go well. There was likely to be other warriors on the island that would want to toss both Rishima himself and their prisoner off the island if Jerarda wasn't there.
He turned his attention back to paddling, getting closer to their destination, when suddenly the Healer was announcing that even if they killed him that they had to make the elders understand in his place. As he suddenly revealed to them a need for the roots of the Mother Tree he nearly dropped his paddle into the water, "Eh, eh?" He turned to stare at the Shifter in a startled manner before looking at his sister, "J-Jerarda?" He wanted the roots of the Mother Tree? Surely that couldn't be right? It was a joke? He wanted to believe so but given the serious look on his face he knew that they weren't going to be as lucky as that. Nope... he was serious about such a request and he couldn't help it as his antennae pressed back against his head in a nervous manner, "Ahh... I really hope our Elders aren't in a killing the messenger mood." He muttered, not sure that he wanted to nearby when the Healer asked for such a thing if they were.
