Shadowlings everywhere, not really a surprise. Rep was there, which was a relief. So were Jerry, Dakota, Deryk, and Jason, and a couple others that Jordan knew by sight but not by name. Moons and Suns, mostly. Well, they'd handle this.
"Did you guys leave us some?" he called out, wading into the mass of shadowlings and bringing Ferros around in a wide circle.

"Y-you're welcome!" Deryk stammered out to Jerry before looking around warily. There were a handful of others here, though actually, now that he thought about it, he had to wonder if these things had managed to break out of the shadow run training course.
It was hard for him to tell if they were the same sort of creatures that were found in there.
"Still plenty of them left," he said to Jordan.

The bright side to all of this, was Kat was finally getting in some much needed target practice. These shadowlings proved to be a much better then the usual training dummies they had to work with. The down side, her attacks felt weaker then usual, and these creatures were starting to become a bit overwhelming. Hearing a cry for help somewhere in the crowd, her gaze fixated on Jerry and the creatures latching on to him. Taking aim, she managed to take out two of the shadowlings that crowded the sun hunter. "You okay, Jerry?"

"I had a dream too," Harrison said, "I got a visit. From that guy you told me about. I remember-"
There had been another dream, too. A dream with a sword, a crown, and a staff.
Harrison knew the crown. But he knew the sword, too. The sword was an old friend. And while the crown glowed yellow, it was the sword that hummed a familiar blue.
He cut off. There wasn't time, here. And there was a lot in the way. He dug deep and found he didn't have the patience for it. B0nez gleamed, and the shadowlings pressed in tighter...
"I'll handle them," he reassured Jordan and Rep.

"Thanks," Jordan said to Harrison, flashing him a brief, fond grin.
Then he lunged into the mass of shadowlings again, taking out a wide sweep of the things; Ferros snarled gleefully as he absorbed the Fear, his glow notching up brighter. A glance back over his shoulder showed him that Jerry was having trouble with the mob of tiny monsters; Jordan turned to help Kat knock a few more of the things off with the pointed end of Ferros's haft. "You okay, man?"

Jerry's response to Kat first came in the form of a wild, terrified, flailing yell, the creatures she didn't manage to knock free suddenly sent exploding in a burst of green light and sound as Roar's blast ripped through the oncoming stream of shadowlings.
The Sun Hunter paused, panting, wobbling a bit on his feet as he straightened his glasses, "Ah... th-thanks! I-" He sagged a bit, catching himself on Roar as he propped himself up. "I don't think... my Fear Shield is right-" And Roar's blasts were far more destructive than usual. The howler purred in the back of his mind, Don't ask me... whatever it is feels good....

Rep wasn't sure what he'd expected Harrison to say, but it hadn't been what he did. As much as Rep tried not to think about the kingdom and the events that transpired there, he always did, so the association was immediate. He'd given up hope that Harrison would ever really remember it and he wasn't sure how to feel about the news that he did. He found himself remembering that very tired proud Harrison who he'd inadvertently robbed and his expression flickered pained. There was no time though, no time to talk about any of it, and there might never be time ever if these creatures kept coming like an unstoppable flood.
"Oh." he said, and it sounded more indifferent than he felt, the dull ache of remembered emotion almost terrifying in the midst of battle. "He is.. was a good bloke. Other B0nez too." It hurt to remember how hopeless he'd felt, how much a hug had meant in that blind place where he'd all but given up.
He shook his head. No. Really there wasn't time to be lost again, it was too much, too overwhelming, the memories of him and that other him converging on a single dizzyingly sad point. Fighting was more important right now but it was hard to swing when part of him felt like he should still have claws. But he did it because he wasn't that him any longer.

"It's still me," Harrison clarified, "I just got his- I don't know. His story I guess."
Maybe more than that. The shadowlings seemed endless. Like a dark ocean.
B0nez glimmered. Me too, he put in, I think I remember like. My name. Like I think it was my name before. Plus I'm pretty sure we got some bonuses which were pretty sweet.
"But it wasn't the only dream."
Harrison moved, fast, like he had when he had the crown, but this time it wasn't with an all-consuming blue glow. The power wasn't there, either. He wasn't untouchable.
He came out of it with his (boosted) shield little scarred up. But he felt...good. Ready to go. Protected. And he wanted to protect them. He dove in again, close and between Rep and Jordan both, covering anything that got too close to them and taking hits when his swords couldn't reach.

"Heh heh, sorry." It probably would have been better for her to have called out and give him some warning ahead of time, rather then surprise him by shooting first. Oh well, what was done was done. She'd just have to keep this in mind if the situation ever occurred again in future with other hunters.
"Yeah, you're telling me. My fear shield seems to be alright - better then alright - but Xedis, my weapon, isn't up to his usual standards. He's kind of pitching a fit over it." Maybe it had something to do with that weird dream, or this sudden invasion? Either way, the sooner things were back to normal, the better.

The way Harrison moved, almost too fast to see, made Jordan's stomach twist with dread; but there was no blue flicker this time, no trace of something half-alien in the familiar grey eyes. The fragment had come back to Harrison, but it wasn't taking him over.
The shadowlings boiled out of the building in waves, no end to them in sight. Jordan brought Ferros up and around in a heavy overhand swing; the hammer's head half-buried itself into the ground, flattening shadowlings underneath. Ferros seethed with gleeful heat.
"Watch it," Jordan warned Harrison and Rep as he pulled Ferros out of the minor crater they'd made. "Gonna be a fireball in a minute here."

"Aye. I know how it feels." he said, twisting the feather like blades out of an unfortunate shadowling. "The same thing happened to me." He had no idea if it was the same in more than a superficial sense, he'd hated his other self, hated everything about him, especially his pity. He still felt it sometimes, that vague uncomprehending sort of bafflement, like a glorious eagle temporarily musing on what it must feel like to be a mouse.
Rep didn't miss the speed in Harrison's movements, it bothered him in some ways, like he was standing on the edge of some dizzying cliff looking down but with no option but to deal with it and fall if he was going to fall. He couldn't change anything, all he could change was the tide of this battle.
"The other me was a p***k." It was too easy to imagine that smug b*****d's face as he lashed out at another gang of creatures.

He grinned, keeping up the pace. "The regular you's a p***k."
"All he wanted was to find him. I...s**t, when you weren't there this morning..." He parried. Stabbed. Moved, "I'm just glad you were out here, is all."

"The others were jerks, all three of 'em," Jordan pointed out. He nodded to Harrison's other statement, sobering.
I want to flame, Ferros demanded.
"Okay, I hear you." Jordan hefted Ferros and brought him up and around in a swift, powerful swing; he took two rapid steps and brought the hammer down into a writhing knot of shadowlings. The soft, heavy whump sound of the fireball bursting into existence around Ferros's head seemed louder than usual, and Jordan's eyes winced briefly shut from the searing brightness; the heat of the flames made the skin on his cheeks feel tight. When it flickered out, though, there was a circle of bare, seared ground cleared in the mass of shadows.
