"I had hoped that as well - and yet it happened. I don't think there are many of them, something to be thankful for, but the fact their guardian cats recruit them disgusts me. Children should be playing with toys not fighting a war. And yet both that I've met were out far too late and one tried to bait me into fighting, throwing rocks and biting me. The other was quite...polite and thankfully not at all like the first. A reminder of how young they are." The second one had bothered him, so young and acting that young. Talking about cookies, mother, and juice. It really wasn't right. He really wondered if anyone, any of the higher ups, would care if he ever decided to go after those wicked little cats. They had never mentioned not targeting the kitties. It was an idea to one night ponder, or simply put into action.
The thought, for now, was brushed aside easily. The coldness of the others comment didn't phase him really, he could be quite cold himself in nature. But he shook his head anyway. "Our job is to fight for the rights of the civilians - for their freedom. It would defeat the purpose if we took their freedom away by forcing this upon them. And I suppose it would work, to some extent, to use them as fodder. But fodder doesn't come back to be used. The same as those terrorists who blow themselves up - one time only use. You'd have to keep replacing them, which isn't a good strong idea."
Taking a pause to sip, or gulp, from his cup of steaming hot liquid he sighed. "When I'd first joined, and even a bit now, I resent the civilians. Those who could fight I think should. It's why I joined. I don't want someone else fighting for my freedom - because if everything fails then I know it's because I failed and not a bunch of other people. I think that those who can fight should...it's their freedom on the line. But I also have realized that we cannot force the issue onto them.
The white moon won't. At least I doubt it highly. They think themselves above us, that they are fighting for the people, so I doubt they would ever treat them as fodder - much less make them such. The incident in space aside fo course, they think we had a hand in that." Rolling his eyes he smirked at the other. How stupid were the senshi who thought that?
"Lieutenant. You do not lack the power nor the ability to kill. Have you not learned how to pull a starseed?" He questioned with a curious look in his eyes. "I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. It isn't done any more, wasn't done much when I joined either. But I did learn regardless. Perhaps it will get me in trouble but if you want to learn I'm willing to teach you. It's rather easy...you just need to be willing to kill and be close, intimately so, to the person." All this said with a casual air that spoke of how comfortable he was with the idea of killing, and the ease at which he had with such matters. It wasn't something most just felt but something which came with time.
"I think - I think you should learn. In case we get into a large battle and you need to kill senshi or knights."

"Well, powered or not, children are vile," Buddingtonite said, caring little for the little monstrosities despite knowing that he was once one and that his business basically revolved around them. But he wasn't at Sugar Shanty this evening and he had no one to please, as he was certain that he'd never find Alexandre at his store ever again unless he was running errands. And that was acceptable to him. "It would only make sense why the White Moon Court would have them, given their vile nature." Not that the Negaverse was any better, Buddingtonite was willing to admit. But anyone that enlisted the forces of children in their ranks was not an ally of Buddingtonite, and that was that. There was no way anyone could change his mind, but the change in topic was always one sure way of getting the lieutenant off of his 'I despise children' rant. Benitoite may have been young, but he was wise, and Buddingtonite cared nothing for the age difference between them, as he knew that he could learn much from him. He may have been sipping away at the last bit of his frap, but he was giving the young general his full attention. Only when it felt appropriate did he speak up, and even then, it was apparently that some of his resolve had softened. "Then they shall remain nothing more than oblivious sheep, and we their shepherds from afar. Very well... let them decide when to join in, and hope they make the right choice." That was his job, to make sure they made the right choice like he had. It felt hopeless for a lot of them, but Buddingtonite was going to try. Eventually they'd have to see the light, even if he had to eventually beat it into them! When Benitoite offered to teach him how to a starseed, his demeanor changed. He straightened up, his crimson eyes widened with glee, and his enthusiasm could not be ignored. "If you are willing to teach me, than I am more than happy to learn! If it means to keep the Senshi's numbers down and if I cannot covert them, than I'd be more than happy to take their starseed from them. Better them dead than against us, right?"

Laughing, his right hand up and masking his smiling lips, the blond shook with soft laughter. "I don't think I've ever met someone who's disliked children as much as you." He stated, a simple statement of fact. No question there or any response sought. It was true though. Most people seemed to like children. He knew he disliked the chibi's involved in the war and would rather them be home, tucked in bed or playing with toys, but he also had no intentions of having his own unless he was struck suddenly with a need/want to adopt. Other wise he had no plans or intentions of being a parent, something his parents knew and accepted.
"Indeed. We must shepard them to our side. Consider it a test of ones ability to manipulate and lead things by words alone." He spoke giving a small hand gesture as he finished his own drink. The empty cup set on the roof top at his side. "It's harder, I think, to convince those on the other side to change sides. Especially when they see us in actions - it tends to change their minds very fast." He was still sure he could have had the senshi of tigers joining them. He'd felt like he could have gotten her, it had been right there! Right out of grasp and then the ambush and he'd lost his fish, or tiger sort to speak.
"That would be my opinion. I'd rather than be dead than against us. If they won't join us then we remove them - at least that's my opinion. The only ones not included in that would be those chibis." He'd rather send them home with a note to their parents. How could the parents not notice or know their kids were running out at night? It didn't make sense to him really.
Standing up he stretched and then bent to pick up his cup. "We should go then and find someone. I'd rather it not be your every day citizen.I'd prefer it be someone who is of the unsavory sort." Since he didn't want, for obvious reasons, to attack a normal and innocent civilian. "Red light district alright with you?" Not an area he'd normally go but he was willing to, he was sure he could find a target there with little issue.

"There's good reason to despise children and if you saw what the little monsters are capable of, you'd hate them too, my friend," said the bitter Buddingtonite in a low, harsh whisper, speaking as though he were experience a Vietnam flashback in his head. He sort of was, except regarding children ruining his merchandise, throwing candy everywhere, touching things with their disgusting little fingers. He outwardly shuddered at the thought, before forcing the notion to the back of his mind. He wasn't here to discuss children with Benitoite! Focus! He was here to discuss more important matters, and while it wasn't exactly what he wanted to hear, he admired the general's way with words and his spirit as well. He wanted to think that he himself was fully capable of luring the ones worth saving over to the Negaverse, and if Benitoite felt that it could have been done with words, then who was he to not believe him? "Well put, General. I will endeavor to do more to make them see the light. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make the damn thing drink." The lieutenant heard the phrase time and time again and it seemed that the older he got, the more true it rang out. He had no idea what Benitoite was thinking, nor how close he had come to gaining an ally, but if he had, Buddingtonite would have been pleased to inform him of a certain Page of Uranus that was ripe for recruiting. He refrained, for now, for reasons he wasn't quite sure about himself... but that was neither here or there. The offer for Benitoite to teach him to pull a starseed pushed all other thoughts to the back of his mind, and he was practically dancing in place with excitement. Now he'd get the chance to see a pulling in action, and perhaps, if he was lucky, he'd get to hold a starseed of his very own! Oh, he just wanted to sing, but he refrained, and he felt himself practically gliding off the rooftop of the coffee shop in a single bound to get to the red light district. "Let's go! I am eager to learn, mein Lehrer*!"

"No, you certainly can't. Horses are rather stubborn animals, similar to our enemy. If only things were simple and we could funnel feed them what we wish. But I've heard that the best won things are those things which were fought for the hardest. That would seem to be the case here. In any case I have, in the past, told some senshi who seemed weak will enough that the youma they take such pleasure in killing were once human, which isn't a lie. It seems to shock them. But the thing is, is that the youma need the energy from people to continue on. So telling that to some makes them feel for the youma. Also telling them that those youma were created by the moon's queen, all that time ago, can help. It's a tool I have used in the past and found fairly good, and promising, results. For those weak willed you could try it." Shrugging lightly as he ran his gloved fingers through his hair.
Shaking his head he followed the other, landing lightly on the ground. "I can't wait to see how excited you are when you can teleport." He stated, a hint of sarcasm tinting his words. He was teasing gently. He was sure the red haired man would be over the moon and bouncing all about till someone taught him how to teleport, once he was able to learn of course. At least he had a healthy want to learn, that was very good.
"Well then, would you care to lead the way to the red light district and we'll get your lesson for tonight under way?"

As giddy as Buddingtonite was, he was still listening and taking mental notes. He had been given a brief mention of the youma but knew little of their origins and function in the Negaverse, besides to be their tools for war. He was told that they were once human, but it was the process that caught his attention the most, and that was what lured him back closer to the general. "How did she do it? Is that how ALL the youma are made, even new ones?" It was an interesting detail that Buddingtonite felt cheated out on, but there was little anger or fear in his voice or his demeanor. What did he care how a youma came to be? So long as they did their bidding and obeyed him, what was there to care about? They were nothing but tools, and Buddingtonite wanted to make sure that they were all useful to him in some way or another. Getting to know of their origins would help him in that aspect, he thought, which was why he even bothered with the question. Buddingtonite was practically bouncing at the mere mention of learning how to teleport, but he kept it together as best as he could. Yes, he wanted to learn ALL of the things, and it was great to see a general that was willing to give the eager lieutenant the time of day. "I will come to you when the time is right for that! For now, follow me, to the Red Light district! There is much for me to learn!" Sleet Tempest Snape Did we want to make a new RP for that part, or just continue with this one? If we wanted to do a new one, then consider this my wrap up.

"New ones? To my knowledge it would be easy, though tragic, to create one. An overload of energy upon ones starseed to the point it shatters. Once shattered the person becomes a youma, with no possible way of undoing it. The youma that we know were once people - those who first fought the moon's queen. It was when they confronted her that she lashed out, in order to win or save herself - it matters not really. The important fact is that she did it - a queen and the one many of these senshi fight for or support or would if she were to somehow return. It is her, and the freedom she would steal from us all, that we fight against." There was a respect for the youma in his voice but an utter loathing, and passion, in his voice as he spoke against the moon's former queen and the events which had happened. It was brief and his voice was kept low but his words were strong. For a child, a teenager really, one could say he didn't act it.
"Some of them have enough humanity in them, in my opinion it's humanity, that there is in the rift a bar and some play music or server drinks. I would stay away from water, it's filthy, and sometimes they server vinegar. But they do server beer and something else. I don't know what the other drink is but I do know it's very good. I remember something about not drinking more than a set number in a set amount of time. Some consequence. I was too...buzzed to catch it all." God he could feel his cheeks warm a bit and he really didn't like discussing that night. It was an embarrassing evening but he'd tied Mica for that drinking contest.
"It's because of why they died and the humanity some seem to have that I hold a deep respect for them, and seek to protect them against senshi when and where I can." Even though, as one senshi said, he was keeping them alive and not allowing them to pass on. They were continuing a less than half life. There was still a passion in his words but the tone had drastically changed, for obvious reason. It was a mood he disliked being in but the topic brought it on, every time, and so he let the others enthusiasm sweep him up and smiled up at him.
"Yes, you will learn many things. I will help you with teleporting when you become a Captain. For now though starseed pulling. Now...have you ever drained energy? We could start with that and then pulling a starseed." What had he learned? Other than kicking down doors, throwing hot soup in someones face, and the other actions Benitoite had seen that Valentines night. He needed to know what the other knew so he could help him better.
"Do you know what starseeds and energy orbs can do for us as well?"

It was quite the information dump that Benitoite tried to smother Buddingtonite with, but he DID ask for details, and details he got! It made the trek to the red light district a little awkward, and while he kept up his appearance as being overjoyed, he was taking the information he was being given very, very seriously. He had been told that youma were once human, but he didn't get it put quite like that, and part of him wanted to feel sympathy for the creatures. He had thought them to be completely lost when it came to their humanity, but if what Benitoite said was true, that there might have been enough left... that changed his opinion on them pretty drastically. "Well, if they can serve a mean drink, even if its vinegar, than surely there's some humanity left in them," Buddingtonite said, letting the general know that he was following his every word, even if he outwardly didn't appear to be. Instead, he was making a mental note to himself, to avoid such a fate. He rather liked being human and the thought of drinking vinegar actually made his stomach gurgle... though that could have easily have been the frap trying to come back to haunt him. He spoke over the noise, voicing his opinion on the matter and hoping not to anger the general with his words, so he picked them carefully. "We may not be able to save them, but we can certainly make sure it doesn't happen again. Make the senshi and their beloved Queen pay for their crimes, I say." He didn't have respect for the youma before today- he thought them merely to be tools at their disposal, a means of collecting energy and causing hurt to the enemy. But now? He didn't want to think of himself being wrong, but he wasn't willing to argue with the general. He knew more than he did, and it would have been wise to avoid the issue, for now. He'd save youma talk for another day, and they were drawing close to their destination, making it a great reason for him to try to switch topics. When Benitoite brought up draining energy and pulling starseeds, Buddingtonite answered truthfully, feeling no shame in his answer. "I've never pulled energy before, I'm afraid. I suppose it's like a two step process- once you learn to harvest energy, you can then learn to pull a starseed, am I correct? I am willing to learn that first." 'Just so long as we get to the starseed too!' Buddingtonite thought with a grin. There weren't any signs of victims yet, which meant that Buddingtonite could stand to listen to his teacher with rapt attention. "I know that starseeds are linked with their lives or souls, and that when you pull them, they die. What do we do with starseeds and energy orbs?"

He knew it was an information dump, he'd suffered the same dump of information, but he figured it best to supply all the information he could and to do so all at once, better to know everything as soon as you can than not? At least that was his opinion on the matter - for the most part. He really didn't like the idea of members being left in the dark on things, especially if it may help them in their duties.
Bobbing his head to the others response, about the youma serving a mean drink, he could remember those drinks. He didn't think he'd ever forget to be honest, especially considering what winning that drinking contest had gotten him. "Indeed, and that is my intention. I have every intention of seeing that the senshi and the former queen of the moon don't repeat the events of the past. The people of this time will be kept safe from the fate of those who came before them." His words were sure with a certain strength behind them. For a teenager he was confident and calm when speaking. But perhaps the most moving part was the passion to see to this happening - to the senshi not winning and the people being safe.
"I suppose you could say it's a two step process. Although the first step can really be skipped. Pulling a starseed is much similar to corrupting someone - like you and I were when he first joined. Your hand will enter the other persons chest and grasp their starseed. Rather than pushing your energy into it, as a General or higher would when corrupting someone, you will take the starseed with your hand when you remove it from their chest. So some parts are similar. Energy draining is less invasive and intimate." You weren't literally grasping and holding someones soul, he considered that act to be rather intimate.
"Energy and starseeds, before the ban on gathering either, would go to the youma as it's what they eat. Though in a pinch, when injured or needing a pick me up in a battle, we can eat either. Starseeds I'd avoid consuming unless absolutely necessary. I've heard that consuming too many in a small period of time can lead to quite nasty consequences. The same can be said for energy orbs as well. But they do a good job on handling pain, energy levels, and such. I have, myself, consumed both when needed." Shrugging his shoulders lightly. The idea of consuming someones soul not so bothersome. Not after having done that and taken lives on several occasions. It took time to accept it and for it to be so easy to talk about, but it now was, but he'd done what he'd had to do at the time. He couldn't be faulted for it and their was no use in thinking badly on those moments or letting them effect him.
"I believe it's suggested that members keep a few energy orbs on them, at all times, in case they have a need for them in a fight. I carry a few of them on me. I'd say that whatever we gather tonight you can keep, unless you don't want to." Having stopped walking he stood tapping one boot while he glanced about. Which way to go? He didn't know this area of the city well, despite his recent ventures here.

If there was one thing that Buddingtonite was certain about this evening, it was that Benitoite was very passionate about his job, and while it should have struck him hard that one so young was invested in such matters, he found it admirable... and a bit shameful. Not against the general, of course, but towards himself. He was 26 years years old, established a career and a good life for himself. But what was he passionate about? Candy? Liquor? Parading the night clubs and casinos? Sex? All of that seemed so... childish... compared to Benitoite's passion, and it physically shamed him to think of that. Of course, he could have brought this up, wallowed in self-pity and think that he could never be as valuable to the Negaverse as Benitoite because he lacked that passion. Despite what others thought, Buddingtonite didn't just join the Negaverse to save his own hide (though it was a pretty big factor)- he did care about the war and the struggle. And seeing someone like Benitoite, so young, but so involved, only made him realize that he had chosen the right side after all. He'd be just like Benitoite, some day... maybe tonight, if he was lucky! Hearing Benitoite talk renewed his vigor to the point that he could almost feel it erupting at the seams, but he kept it together. His attention could not be swayed, as Benitoite explained the process to the eager lieutenant. He subconsciously brought a hand to his chest in remembrance of his own awakening, the pain he felt was raw, invigorating, and he wondered if he was suppose to welcome it, or if that was somehow wrong. He never addressed it with Benitoite, nor anyone, and nor would he if he didn't need to. Last thing he wanted others to think he was crazy... Though, Benitoite mentioning them DEVOURING starseeds certainly fit that description, and he couldn't help but allow his confusion, and curiosity, to be seen, as he openly asked the general. "How do they taste? And... pray tell, what DOES happen when you consume too much? Is there a quantitative number to that, or is it just an estimate?" It was around this time that their potential victim had pulled herself away from a nearby lamppost, observing the two oddly dressed men and thinking little of it. Who was she to judge them? They could be returning from a convention, or perhaps they were larpers... either way, they wouldn't be here if they weren't paying customers. She drew close, but Buddingtonite hadn't even noticed her. He was FAR too interested in the whole 'eating starseeds' thing than the beauty that saunter towards them.

Alexandre knew teenagers, those he went to school with, weren't normally big on politics and standing up for their rights and things of this matter. But he was different from those his age. He had been offered the ability to fight, and stand up, for his freedoms and the freedom of other people and had stood up wanting to defend those things. It was a passion for it that had grown over time, through fights, injury, long nights out, and more. His age though, and how many of his fellow classmates weren't involved, never really crossed his mind in the way it might for some. He looked at them as people who should help, should fight, because they could but they were too pathetic to. They didn't care to protect their own freedom. But he often didn't give those thoughts his energy and time. Like tonight he didn't give those thoughts any time or energy.
"I don't remember to be honest...the power surge was a surprise. So I think that kept me from noticing if there was a taste - though I don't think there should be. Considering it's the equivalent to a persons soul, with energy inside of it, I don't see a reason for a taste. But there is a crunch. It's like a shell around the energy inside. As for what happens I don't know nor do I know if there is a number or if there is some warning when your close to it. I'd say, to be safe, only one when needed." He couldn't see a need for more than one starseed to be consumed either way. But he was sure there was at least one person in the Negaverse who would eat starseeds for some pleasure, or something similar. He remembered eating one, for need, and show in front of a senshi or two and making sure they saw what he was doing. He'd done it for shock value, and need.
"I guess you'll find out the taste if you ever need one, or if I ever need one again I'll try to focus on a taste." If the other really did want to know, and it seemed he might just really want to know.
He hadn't been paying attention either, something he should have been doing, but when the scantly clad, in his opinion, female got close enough for him to notice he stood staring at her. A sideways glance to his fellow agent of chaos was given. "I'm sure you can make a pass at her and get her somewhere private..." It wasn't something he was good with personally. He was better at going right for what he wanted.

"Hm, so, a hard candy shelly with a chewy, bursting with energy center," Buddingtonite said to himself, bringing a finger to his chin in thought and trying to imagine how it would taste. Maybe he wanted to give this one's a taste, but Benitoite's warning, as vague as it may have been, rung loudly in his ears and overwhelmed his curiosity. He wanted a taste, and he wanted to see what would become of someone who ingested too many, but he did not want to become that experiment, and it seemed that he didn't have the time to consider who would as the 'lovely' lady sauntered towards them. At Benitoite's lead, Buddingtonite's expression changed from curious to lady-killer in a matter of seconds, and he turned to the woman in a slow, confident, and very interested manner, as though he were here for the usual business. As much of a sex addict that he was in his civilian life, there would have been -no way- he'd seek her company, and he tried not to let it show as his dropped his voice to a sensual purr, leaning close to the woman but making sure not to touch her break any boundaries. Yet. He was here for her starseed, not her 'business'. "Good evening, my lady... I'm sure you're used to this sort of thing by now, so how about we do ourselves a favor and get straight to business," Buddingtonite said, and it was only when she wrapped both arms around his neck and hung off of him when he returned the touch. One arm came to her left side, making sure to avoid that purse, and he motioned towards a nearby ally with a tilt of his head. "You see, one of us here is the 'V' word and the other would like to demonstrate with a professional, just so that he knows what he's getting himself into. I'll even pay for the both of us... would that suit your fancy?" The woman in question looked from Buddingtonite to the shorter general, immediately thinking she knew what the older one was talking about, and with a sly grin, she gave her answer. "Make it triple and I'll throw in an extra surprise at the end." From this angle, Benitoite couldn't see the way his eye twitched and his facade faded, but only for a second before he returned to that outwardly pleasing 'business man'. "Very well. Triple. I will even pay you upfront, to show you my gratitude." It was relatively easy for him to part with his money, especially when he knew he was going to simply pluck it out of her purse once they were done with her. The look she wore would have otherwise made a man seethe, knowing full well that he was being ripped off, but not tonight. There would be some ripping going on, and it wouldn't be that skin-tight dress of hers. He paid the woman and he turned to Benitoite, and he motioned for him to follow them into the nearby alley.

Stepping back a pace, or two, to let the red head work he watched. He wasn't all that curious but he did watch all the same. There was no harm in watching and learning. His methods weren't the same but learning was always a good thing. The other, he thought, must have experience - a good amount of it too.
the others words though, as he heard them, had him flushing red. He wanted to correct the other, and maybe he would later, but now wasn't the time. As he caught the womans look and her words he wondered just what the tart had in mind. While he wanted to know he had no interest in finding out, actually he felt a bit ill to be honest. But he had a part to play in this whole thing, as uncomfortable as it left him feeling, he bit down on his bottom lip as he tried to look as nervous as possible. Really she should be the one nervous - scared even. But she was just a clueless strumpet.
Nodding he followed as he glanced around. This was not a situation he'd found himself in before and he hoped never again to, having some woman come on to him so easily or even make the comments she had. He almost ached to put his hand into her chest and take her starseed. But only because he really felt ill thanks to her.
"So I'll be watching...and then...?" He asked as he continued the act as much as he could. Perhaps this would land the red head with plucking her starseed and him simply watching and coaching. A good way to learn really. He wouldn't have to show the other, just let him take the verbal instructions and put them to practice. Following the red haired man and the female, who seemed to possibly be part leech, into the alley he kept close to the mouth of the alley, just inside the alleyway and hidden by shadows. He would certainly be watching what took place, but not because he was clueless here. Tonights lesson wasn't for him, contrary to what the street walker thought.

Despite what Benitoite or others may have thought, this was actually Buddingtonite's first time actually hiring a lady for her services. He had seen many resort to it before, seen enough of it in movies to know what to say or what to do. There were times he was desperate for the company of another, but he was never quite that desperate, especially when he had himself. Regardless, by the way he was acting, one could hardly tell, and as far as the lovely lady was concerned, he was just some easy sap, doned in overly formal gear, looking for a good time. Except the good time he sought could not be found on her lips, her touch, nor in her nether regions. Only her chest, and she noticed his glance and mistook that hungered expression, as she wasted no time in getting started. It would always start with a tender touch from either one, picking off bits and pieces of clothes, then lead into a kiss. Thus far, they had made it to where she had gotten half of her blouse unpinned when Buddingtonite decided that it was time. It was rare that something else interested him more than sex, and tonight was not her lucky night. He wanted to give in to her swaying hips, her tainted kiss, but he wanted to see her starseed, more than anything else. When he pressed her against the wall, she didn't think to fight- perhaps he merely liked it rough, and she figured she could always raise the rate afterwords if there were any bruises. She'd play along with that. She even played along when one hand gripped one of wrist and pressed it against the wall, and the way he leaned over made it seem like he was going for a kiss. She was prepared for that, but the gloved hand that moved to her partially exposed chest, ignoring the breasts and resting on the sternum. A strange maneuver, but she didn't fight it. Whatever pleased this strange man. It wasn't until Buddingtonite tightened his grip that she realized that something was wrong, and her pained gasp made him flinch before he tightened it again. He tried to think of how Zinkenite had done it, and while he didn't completely lose his train of thought, he was certain that Benitoite could see his uncharacteristic nervousness as he looked towards the experienced general. "Am I doing this right?" "Wh-what are you doing?" She asked, not trying to pull herself out of the hold but her wriggling did make Buddingtonite tighten his grip, which in turned caused her to gasp and struggle even harder. "This... isn't part of the package." Buddingtonite hissed at her, before looking to the general again. "Silence! Am I doing this right?"
