Valas Hume Neko_Kitsuni Ah, but vampires are overthrown just as easily. Look at Nikolaus and Earthmover. Granted, those were Anita's doing... but it obviously wasn't that odd of an occurence, or the Council would have come out sooner. And you forget that the Ulfric can't just be overthrown whenever someone feels like it. According to Pack Law, a challenger must fight their way up in rank, then declare themselves Fenrir. Although... it rather seems we're missing the point slightly. blaugh We're talking about stability, when the original question was which was easier to understand. (in which case, though I understand both, I stick with lycanthropes). Personally, I think Anita killing Nikolaos & Earth Mover was more luck that anything & 99% of what Anita is, is pure luck. Anita doesn't have many skills that help her survive. Think of Obsidian Butterfly, the Master of the City could've devoured her without a second thought & once she stepped into Edwards World, she would've died if nor for Edward & Olaf.
Then again, if the Vamp Council is so strong, why do they fear Ixzatopoptl (spelling) out in New Mexico!?
Going back to Nikolaos though, it was more a chaotic fight than anything. They weren't expecting her to be as powerful as she was. So I don't hold it against her as much but I liked Nikolaos. I thought she was one of LKH's best creations 3nodding My jaw dropped when I read this! In OB, no one was with her in the bathroom with the badass guy who wanted to rape her. She killed him herself. She saved the day when guys came to Edwards house & she ran to divert their attention and then beat the crap out of a couple of them. She is THE badass. Edward isn't even sure who would win in a fight between them. Time after time she has killed without blinking. It was not all luck. Granted everyone is entitled to their opinions, but wow.

Its a lot of luck. She's shown moments of brilliance but Edward would win in a fight against her. LKH has a problem being able to write a male character. If Anita was better than Edward, she wouldn't be in such awe of him. Remember what happened when they were trying to make their way to Peter & Becca? That's Edwards real life. That's where Edward shines.
Once LKH can write a plausible male character, I'll start giving Anita more credit. Until then, I'll stand by my opinions.

Valas, you are staing my exact thought^^ anita says herself, I cannot believe i ahve gotten out of all this, she does say most of her is pure luck. The only skill she has you can rely on is her necromancy and her ability as an animater^^

I, personally, think it's impossible to compare the two evenly. They are based on diffrent things. They have diffrent rules for diffrent species.
It's like trying to compare men and women. One's better at somethings than the other. Together they've got all the bases covered. But... most of the time the two can't work together because they are basically opposing forces.
So... yes... *looks vaughly embaressed* that's the basis of what I think... on this matter...
