He ran for the gym at a sprint, thinking that it would be the first place on campus she would go once her room had been secured. When West didn't see the tatzel there, however, he tried to leave, only to find that he could no longer do so. The shadows had overtaken the exits, and even though they seemed to have no trouble letting people in, they sank their little wispy teeth into his boots when he got too close. West hissed out a stream of unintelligible words that very well might have been curses as he struck shadowling after shadowling. If they weren't going to let him get the hell out of the gym peacefully, he was going to kick his way through them. As soon as Gene had made it out of her room, she bolted for the gym in a hunt for Mot with his awful sleeping habits in mind. He may have gone to do some training in the early morning, and then been ambushed by the shadowlings. That worried her.
Arriving at the gym, there was no Mot to be seen. There was, however, a West and a few other students picking off swarms of the shadow beasts. Jack damn, what a horde...
"West!" She called out, waving to her Red Kingdom friend. "West, where's Levi?"

It was unfortunate that his memory was not what it was before. Jericho was just around a bunch of strangers, but that didn't matter too much. He knew they needed to fight together. Suddenly shielded by a very large pair of red wings, Gene cracked a smile at their owner. He was familiar (wasn't he on the student council? She was sure she'd seen him around somewhere...), but not familiar enough for the Doppelganger to know his name.
"Thanks! The name's Gene, by the way!" She smiled, shifting one fist into a Living Armor's gauntlet. Anything that came their way received a free whalop to the head.

He paused when he heard his name, turning to glance at the doppelganger in mild confusion as he fought to recall who she was. They had met once here, in the real world, quite a while ago now, but most of his memories of her were from that other place. There had been tea. Lots and lots of tea. Okay. She was probably expecting an answer. "Dunno," he replied, catching another handful of shadowlings with his arcing fist. "I shoulda stopped by her dorm first, but I came here instead." In hindsight, that had been a really stupid thing to do, but once he had murdered the shadows in his room, he even hadn't taken the time to dress in his normal clothing, let alone have coherent thoughts. Like West, Alexander was looking for somebody, though rather then a tatzel, it was a weremantis that he was seeking. The monster dorms had been impossible to reach, and in a last ditch resort, he turned his attentions towards getting to the gymnasium instead. Surely if Yin was safe from harm, and had the same issues getting around campus as the zomboil had, this would be the place he could find him. But as he limped and staggered his way inside, mismatched eyes scanning the large room with it's inky black inhabitants and scattered students doing what they could to beat the creatures back, there was not even the slightest hint of green antennae to be found. His cold unbeating heart dropped in his chest, but he mentally shook it off as best as he could. The other boil was fine, because he had to be, and he was strong. It was more likely that he had gone to check on Nurse Cricket, and was safe in the infirmary. If there was even an infirmary left... No, he couldn't think like that. Not with whatever the hell it was that was going on right now. The zomboil entered the gym more fully A black blob latched on to his skeletal ankle, and in his attempt to shake it off, he fell on his a** to the floor before scrambling back to his feet. Nobody had seen that, right? Arriving to the Gym to see people fighting more of the black invaders had Frost growling in anger. Red eyes saw Gene with some red haired boil. "Glad to see you Gene." The little jog from the Reaper dorms to the Gymnasium, being the closest building and seeming like a good idea, seemed to revive the witch a bit so by the time she burst through the doors she feel much better. A little weaker than normal, perhaps, but that surely had to be attributed to having been woken from sleep so abruptly. Still, it was nothing to really worry about. Instead, all the worrying needed to be concentrated on all that dark ichor hanging out... All over... But good Hecate, there were a lot of friendly faces here already! "Hi Westy! Hi Gene! Good to see you both safe!" Belladonna chirped all too happily for one thrown into the midst of an unknown and certainly very perilous battle. Ah well, if she couldn't have a positive attitude about some silly little shadow creatures then it would be a very awful day indeed. Anymore introductions were cut off as a tiny little creature snuck up to her and chomped down on her calf in the most annoying fashion. With a noise of irritation the witch smacked it, only to cackle a moment later when it disappeared. Lovely! "Oh Alexander! Good you're here too!" Most excellent! Very, very good! At least they could all (hopefully) keep together this time. There were shadowlings on the ground, in the air, in the pool, (and some attempting to eat their way into your hearts). Several shadowlings seem to fizzle and recede and finally quiet. Is it over? Before anyone can respond, the ground begins to shake a little, slowly, steadily, as thick black holes appear from the sides, from all angles, large yellow eyes beadily staring out. What can be destroyed will only come back strongerOOC: WAVE 2 BOSS BATTLE! WAVE 2! - Shadowling defeat results are posted on the FIRST POST! - ALL CHARGES/ FEAR ATTACKS ETC ARE REFRESHED! - Every single time you take a turn, regardless of attack, defend OR heal, as long as you are taking a battle turn, you take 5 damage. - You can take EIGHT turns this round! This includes healing/ defending/ using a Fear attack/ special ability/ item as ONE TURN. - RP posts are UNLLIMITTTEDDD - Make sure you use the form in the OOC above to calculate everything properly! - Every time you FIVE DAMAGE you defeat ONE medium shadowling. Feel free to rp accordingly. (So basically total shadowlings defeated this round will be the TOTAL DAMAGE done this round /5, so make sure you keep a good tally of the total damage done!) - This round will last for APPROXIMATELY 24 OOC hours!

Mort made no vocal entrance immediately - just a whole lot of zapping to clear the path of shadows. Pride for his ghoulfriend's ability to handle herself was one thing, yes, but he'd never quite be able to quash the protective side he had - or overprotective in this case. "Get rid've 'em," he said flatly to both her and Alex, who was lucky his zombro had not seen the embarrassing display prior. In this oddly distracted and concentrated all at once mode, however, he probably wouldn't have noticed anyway.
Noting Frost's vicious attacks, he eyed the wolfos carefully.
