"That's what our powers are for, and why there are so many of us," Tony said patiently, smiling thoughtfully. "We were awakened for the purpose of defeating chaos and bringing peace to the earth, and to the farther reaches of the galaxy, I suppose. Since we all represent different planets. Ah."
He shook his head. He didn't have all the answers, of course, but he did his best to learn whatever he could, whenever he could. Sometimes that was through battles and experience, and other times he was surprised when he was talking to someone and they would just tell him something he hadn't heard of before.
That was why he promoted them talking to one another. So they could share what they knew, regardless of what it might be.

"I think I understand," he nodded. He had heard that last part before - but never fully understood the context of what it meant, and still didn't. But he had a better understanding of things now, at least, and there was some faint recognition about how important this job was - and how much more seriously he should be taking it. Sure, Oreius had told him this importance maybe a hundred times, but that old grump complained about everything. "Thanks," he said with his head down, feeling a bit embarrassed still that he didn't know all this beforehand, especially since it was so important.

Silent Spy We could probably wrap this up soon! Tony watched him, smiling softly. It had to be difficult, trying to get a grasp on some of this stuff. Even Tony didn't understand all of it, though he tried to. And sometimes pretended he knew more than he really did. He knew that Ricky would get things at his own pace, though, and he saw in him that kind of golden nature, and innocence, that would aid him in the long run. Allow him to be the kind of Knight that they would all be proud to serve with.
He just needed to find his path to it, and that was something Tony could help with, but not direct. It was up to Ricky, in the end, but he wasn't alone.
"You're welcome," he said with a nod. They could continue this little lesson for a little while, as Tony would answer any and all questions thrown his way while they looked things up, and Ricky practiced his reading.

The two stayed in the library for a while long, and it was helpful for Ricky to have Tony help him with reading, and give pointers and answers where he had questions or doubts. It took a while for Ricky to read through the various texts to catch up, and even with a lot of time spent they still hadn't covered too much - but more than Ricky had suspected. Nonetheless, it was more mental effort than Ricky had applied to...anything...in a very, very long time. But when they left the library that night, Ricky felt a little more certain about his duties as Troy Squire, which made all the effort worth it.
