It was another beautiful night.

He was laying on the grass, staring up at the deep blue sky kissed with gems of stars that glittered and winked at him flirtatiously. He smirked, enjoying their attention. The wind was cool and soft as usual, blowing against his bronze glazed skin with a gentle caress. The night was as beautiful as every night was here.

But where was here?

He pushed himself up to sit, and turned around. His eyes caught a sight that his mind couldn't quite comprehend. All Donny knew was that what he had seen was beautiful, more beautiful than him and yet a tribute to his beauty at the same time. It was a place.. perhaps a city? He couldn't be sure. His vision hazed like a dream, and he blinked furiously to try and regain his sight. When his eyes opened once more, he saw quite the opposite of the unnamed beauty. In fact, what he saw was ugly, and coarse.. and as it loomed closer, he realized it was not a wave of putrid horrors, but a wave of people instead. Clenched in their hands he saw crude weapons; a pitchfork here, a butchers knife there, none of them professional and none of them clean. The people themselves were much like their weapons, covered in filth and disease. He scrambled back in horror as they came closer, moving unnaturally fast.

"No.. don't touch me..DON'T TOUCH ME!!" He heard himself scream, and stumbled to his feet as he bolted into a run. He could hear them coming closer, closer, but all he could do was run. The grass bent lovingly under his bare feet as he touched them, but soon died and withered hideously when the wave of men and disease passed them over.

Soon he would be consumed, much like the grass that longed only for him.

He reached out for something to hold onto, but the trees only swooned at his presence, and the birds fluttered uselessly as they sang their trills of adoration. The beasts bowed to his presence, until their fate foreshadowed his own, and nothing was left of them but their battered bones.

His land was being destroyed, and soon he would go with it.

He took one look back, and it was his downfall. When his eyes returned to where he was running it was too late, and he tumbled headlong over the cliff that he vaguely recalled held the name of despair. It would soon live up to his name, he realized with an overwhelming fear as he fell deeper, and deeper into it. He rose his hands up and pretended, if only for a moment, that he could fly away and escape his path.

The reality of the situation would come too soon for his liking, but no, he would not die.

They knew he would not die.

They waited for him at the bottom of the ravine, staring up at him hungrily, for they knew he could not die.

And soon, his fate would come, as all fates do.

The ground reached out her arms in welcome, beckoning him lovingly, but he could not return the favor.

Donny sat up straight in bed, just as his dream shattered into darkness at his fall. His breath came ragged and painful, filling his lungs with what felt like acid instead of oxygen. His eyes filled with tears at the pain, and he rubbed the markings on his arms absentmindedly, as if they ached.

When he noticed what he was doing, he stopped and looked at them. The silver markings were tinged with pink, sore from just how hard he rubbed.

Or were they?

Wrapped up in the comforts of her dream world Alala sleep was blissful, her body held still in it's awkward standing sleep, head dipped just slightly foward. Before her streched a forest, so familar and comforting, a place she'd been to countless times in her dreams. Following the hidden path on excited little hooves Alala half galloped through the deep woods, a smile touching her face when the village finally came into view.

She knew it was a dream really.. She'd already been assured that she was the last of her kind, so each time she visited this place.. the village of her own people she knew it wasn't real, simply a comfort that her mind withdrew her to in the night. Trotting into the town center she gazed around, taken a back a little by the emptiness.. but perhaps it was just dinner time?

Slipping into one of the simple hutches Alala was greeted by a familar female voice. "Alala dear? Here to visit are we?" Pale fingers rested within the young centuar's chesnut locks, and the slender centauress motioned for the young one to follow, leading into the familar hearth the two settled lightly amid the soft glow of candles that shed light into the softly darkening room. They spoke like always, the way a mother would speak to a child, for as it turned Alala was 'motherless' and Rinnah was childless.

However today something else touched the elder centuaress voice and eyes, a worry, a sadness of sorts and it only grew further as the darkness of night took over the small village nestled within the forests. And when warning cries shrieked through the forest clearing her old eyes closed gently, wrapping her fingers around the centuar's. "Come little one. It's not safe here tonight. We have to go."

Without a chance to protest Alala was led/dragged to her feet and out the door, the bustle of busyness overtaking her immediately. Women and children fled, followed by centaur stallions of such gigantic size that Alala wasn't sure she could even see their heads way up there, had it not been for the torches they carried as they yelled their warnings. Rinnah tugged, but Alala stood still in wonder gazing back at the forest in which the fear seemed to be leaking from. "W... Why are we running!?"

"We're centuar, are we not!" Her little eyes begged gently as she tried to stop the stallions that kept running by. "We're proud, and strong. There isn't anything that can beat us. Why. Why are you running!?"

Tears touched the centauress as she continued to try and lead the protesting girl. "Alala! Please... please be quiet. They'll hear you. Just please.. come along."

A rustle finally touched the tree line, and through it came finally the creatures. They seemed like people.. normal people, but it was merely a shape they'd taken, as was obvious by the shifting and twisting that the dark shadows made as they approached in their slow way. "If noone else will take care of them, I'll do it myself!" The words were brave from one so tiny, but they didn't stop the shadows that crept towards the two lone centuar. Rinnah continued to pull, but when it became obvious that Alala was not going to move, she let her little hand go, trotting foward towards the shadows.

Alala watched with a sense of pride as the centuaress tried to bade away the shadow beasts, but the pride quickly turned to fear and dispair as she watched the shadows begin to swallow her friend, and she ran forward herself reaching to grab at Rinnah's arm. Pulling did nothing however, and the shadows lapped with greed at the equine body of the women. Crying out Alala pouded her fists against the shadows, only to have them slip within, and find herself unable to pull them out.

Kicking and rearing, tossing and fighting and screaming she pulled her heart sinking as she noticed that Rinnah had given up, and simply stood still as she was engulfed, tears streaming down her cheeks. Painful tears stung at Alala's eyes and with another tug she fell to her feet, watching the shadows begin to creep past her shoulders.

Alala woke with a start as her knees crashed against the ground, her whole body giving a shake. Glancing around into the dark, she tried to stand on wobbly knees, tears creeping to her eyes again. Her arms were free.. and it was a dream... right? Thinking about Rinnah she pushed her way towards the door and out the room, making her way through the house, until she came to the door of her adoptive mother. She could make everything alright... right?

The young psion's eyelids twitched, REM sleep taking over her dreams...

The sheets had been practically removed from the bed, and were now wrapped around her legs haphazardly. She clutched the snowy owl plushie that Elysia had given her for Christmas, squeezing it's body tightly. Occasionally, she'd make a noise---but it was only small peep--nothing that anyone would be able to recognize. The iridescent jewel on her forehead flickered with a faint light, as if something was activating within it. Lines crossed her purple blanket as the moon shone brightly through the blinds. It was eerily silent in the room, aside from the noises coming from the little girl. There was the faint whir of the overhead fan, but besides that, nothing. But her dreams would have filled the room with noise had they been real...

All she could hear was the sound of the crowd, roaring in her ears. She was vaguely aware of a helmet on her head, making the noise echo into her brain. It was extraordinarily intense, and the psion felt a bit shaky. not quite sure where she hand ended up this time. Rhea had always had vivid dreams--even lucid dreams. She'd begun to be able to control them, her psychic abilities increasing the ease of lucid dreaming. Most of the time she adventured, meeting new people and seeing sights that could only be real in Dreamland.

"Wha?" she asked out loud, to herself quietly, shifting her weight, curious about the gravity of the place. One had to get used to moving themselves around Dreamland, as every place was different. She took a step forward, opening her eyes. It was then that she saw she was in an arena, and all around her, she was surrounded by tiers of people, cheering. It was a coliseum, like those of the ancient Greeks. But it was more modern, and in fact, it looked fairly new.

Suddenly, a voice came over the arena's loudspeakers, booming out into the crowd.

"Welcome everyone, to the Psionic Invention Convention! Today, we are here to see some of the most technologically advanced inventions in today's world. I hope you enjoy them!" A cheer rose up from the crowd, and Rhea looked around her, searching for anyone who might know what was happening. Obviously, she had something to do with the inventions...but she wasn't sure quite what. Across the arena floor stood another person, a helmet on their head as well. This person's was made of steel, and it shone brightly in the afternoon sun.

"First!" the voice boomed again, stirring up the crowd. "We have the newest in armor technology--hardsuits. These you'll see today are worn by their inventors, Rhea Arshan-Marvel and Thyzol Dorsett. We'll be watching a demonstration of these suits in a rather feasible situation -- battle." Again, a foofaraw (you know you wanna look it up!) rose up from the crowd. They were here to see the fight.

Rhea swallowed hard. It wasn't that she minded a good battle, but more that she felt unprepared for anything of the sort. She wasn't even used to this part of Dreamland yet, and already they were making her battle? Geez. Oh well, with her control of Dreamland, it should be a piece of cake, she thought.

"To activate the suits, each psion touches their psicrystal, causing the transformation to begin. Watch..." The voice hinted that she should do something. Watching the other person in the same situation that she was, she saw them remove their helmet. A young man stood there, smiling at her. She knew him immediately. He was important to her, she knew. He nodded, and she followed suit, removing her helmet as well, her long, wavy, chestnut hair swinging down around her middle back. The man seemed to be slightly older than Rhea, and he had a commanding presence. Strong but lean, he was a perfect specimen of a male. Rhea was impressed, but baffled. How did she know him?

The man, who she assumed was Thyzol, summoned his psicrystal, which naturally hovered over his left shoulder. It swung around to his front, facing him. The man reached up and touched it, and it began to glow, and the brighness grew, enveloping Thyzol. When the light faded, he was hovering about five feet off the ground, now enveloped in a suit of light armor that seemed to have more function than normal armor. "Ready?" he called to her, winking. She could see it from across the arena...the sparkle in his eye was that obvious. Was he flirting with her?

She laughed and held a hand up to her face, gently brushing her fingertips across her forehead psicrystal. It began to glow a bright purple, and the glow surrounded her as it had Thyzol. Once the brightness had faded, Rhea hovered off of the ground as well, wearing a hardsuit crafted in shades of black and purple. The helmet she'd been wearing earlier had now changed to match the suit, and she slid it onto her head and Thyzol did the same. Squeezing her hand into a fist inside of the hard suit's glove, Rhea summoned the weapon that the suit was meant to create, her fist enveloped in a ball of light. Looking down at what had been procured, she was again disappointed. Instead of a sword, like she thought, a handgun appeared. Squeezing the other fist, a second gun popped up, and Rhea pushed up, flying up into the air.

Looking across the arena, she could see the man, helmet on as well, hovering with a long halberd in his hand, the blade shining from the reflection of the sun. He cocked his head to the left and stood at ready. Gripping the pistols, Rhea cocked them, her fingers hovering over the triggers. Before she could act, he bolted at her, halberd ready to swing. The long blade arced to her right side, in an attempt to take her down. The psion shot up into the air to avoid him, and she aimed down, pointing the guns at him. Obviously he was taking this fight seriously...there was no fun and games here. Finding her target, she pulled both triggers in succession, two loud popping noises filling the air. She flipped backward, checking on the enemy, still hovering mid-air. As she came around to a full rotation, she saw only the faceplate of his helmet, staring into hers.

Rhea gasped, and pulled back, stunned. She could hear the crowd cheering around her---smooth move, she thought, cocking the hammers on her pistols once again, and quickly scanning the horizon for Thyzol, who was in fact, directly behind her. Rhea's suit suddenly got hot---a sure sign there was something on her tail. She bolted away from him as he chased her, hoping she could buy some time. She could feel his psychic pressure on her mind--he was trying to psych her out. She resisted his pressure and pushed her own thoughts onto him. "How dare you! I thought this was an exhibition! Can't you just relax a bit? Geez!" But the guy didn't seem to feel like leaving her alone. He remained behind her, halberd readied. Sweating inside her suit, Rhea few up toward the sky---toward the brightness. "You're so mean!" she exclaimed, pushing out to him.

"I know. But it's good for you," he telepathed back, a bit of joy in his voice. He always enjoyed a good chase...especially a good chase behind a pretty girl... *wink*

Rhea continued to run--Dreamland was no longer letting her run things. "But I don't want to lose!" she shouted out loud, feeling the man at her back, but determined to catch him. He'd always brought out the competitive spirit in her.

And then suddenly, everything was gone. The world pixelated, and shattered, and everything went white.

The Tale shuddered, and her hands found her head, grasping it tightly. Oh, the pain...

Reaching for the bottle she kept next to her bed, Rhea removed one of the tablets, and popped it into her mouth, re-covering her head with her arms.

That was the consequence of her control over Dreamland--she was drained--mentally, not physically, and now her brain had to rest. Her body laid still as she drifted off again, this time, into a deep and dreamless slumber.

Thick ribbons of mist swirled around him. He could see ribbons in every color of the rainbow, but they were all softer, muted, gentler than colors in the real world. He could hold the swathes of mist, touch them, move them, shape them. They held a shape for a moment before dissolving back into mist.

And suddently, the mist changed. It solidified into a hazy, glowing landscape. One minute, he was floating among clouds, the next he was sitting in a wide field. Wildflowers in amazing variety covered the field, the rich green grass poking through the gaps of color. Not too far away he could see the village, a welcome, protective presence.

He felt peace and contentment, sitting alone in the field. Half his mind was on small wooden box puzzle in his hands, the rest was a million miles away. It was perfect, nothing around to disturb his quiet.

Then he heard giggling, shouts, and squeals. Someone called his name. His head snapped up to see the other children, friends he hadn't spoken to in days. They still wanted him to play? They called and waved to him, asking him to play hide-and-seek.Why not? He put the puzzle in his pocket and joined the others, hiding in a large, tall patch of flowers.

All around he could hear muffled laughter as the others tried to not give away their position. And then the seeker stumbled on his hiding place, almost tripping over him in surprise. He managed to roll away before he could be tagged and raced for the village, laughing happily. The village was home, if he could get there before the other...

Behind him he could hear shouting and cheering for him to run run run! He glanced back and saw the seeker behind him, reaching out. The other children jumped up and down, cheering one or the other on. He looked ahead. Halfway there. His stretched his thin legs as far as they could go. Skid around the big rock. Scramble over a log. His legs were getting tired. But he was not going to end up as "it!"

There! A worn little path. He was almost to home. He could almost feel the seeker's hand behind him. The first wall of the village was just about in reach! He stretched his hand out, only a foot or so away....

And the world dissolved back into mist. Back into soft swirling colors-

Mehiyal woke and sat bolt upright, only to bump his head on the ceiling. He fell back, breathing heavily as if he had been running. Illus squeeked and jumped out of the way as Mehiyal's head nearly landed on the Embermite. He heard a grumble below him and felt the light punch through the mattress from the bunk below. "Go back to sleep runt," he heard Darek mumble. He tried to breathe evenly. What an odd dream. At least he hadn't projected it; he hadn't "felt" any of his siblings among the other children. How embarrasing that would have been... He rolled over and slipped into a dreamless sleep as Illus curled up next to him.

These dreams would stop soon, at least for most of the Tales. No longer will their nights be haunted or bothered or made pleasant by the visitations of these visions. That is, save for the twins, their dreams have just begun.

Their dreams are similar to each other, exactly alike in every detail. But what makes it really significant is that it seems to have snippets of the dreams that have been dreamt. Ribbons, the ocean, stars, centaurs, crystals, blood, rolling together into one confusing whole.

The only things that make sense is that they are chasing after someone. And moments before waking, the twins shall find themselves in the presence of the cloaked figures.

((translation: the twins dreamt portions of the other Tales' dreams. But in the dream, they see things from the perspective of those chasing. Write out their reaction upon waking up n.n))

{I hope this is correct... ^^;;}

Elana's hands gripped the blanket that Dragain had wrapped around her after she had fallen asleep. It was a warm night, yet she felt so cold inside. So alone and scared for some unknown reason. She rolled over to her left, the blanket still clutched in her hands.

Her eyes opened quickly, beads of sweat hung to her face. She could recall the dream in her mind. She might have woken up, but the images of that confusing dream kept flashing in her mind. Her hands were still clutched onto the blanket tightly. She closed her eyes, but it only made her feel worse as the images appeared before her in the darkness, like when she was in that dream.

"Ayden..." She whimpered, and hugged her knees close to her. When she looked up, she caught sight of a familiar figure. She bit her lower lip in fear and anxiousy. A feeling, something inside her, told her that something was going to happen...

Ayden looked around as he crawled through an alleyway his hand rested lightly on a red ribbon and he picked it up. He looked around him, too one side of him was a wall, that seemed to him to be uninteresting, he placed his small hand on the wall and felt the small grooves in it and used them to lift himself up, although he felt he could do so much more, he looked at the deadend of the alleyway and turned around and began running.

Ayden found himself whispering something even he could not understand through a wall as he passed by it. He looked up and saw a girl running by him and noticed that he was now in a field. He deceided to chase her, it sounded like a fun game to him, a game of tag, he began to chase her. He ran up to her and tapped her on the shoulder, "Tag your it, " he said. But he realized he had tagged nothing. He waved his hand mysteriously through what he thought was the girl only instead he found an orange ribbon and found himself in a forest. His eyes caught sign of some sort of object near a tree and he reached out his hand to grab it, and he opened it. He reached his hand into it and pulled out a blood spattered piece of parchment attached to a yellow ribbon, he read it unknowingly,

"Who's Sylvester?" He asked himself after reading it. He began running as fast as he could, "Sylvesyer!" He called out into no where. He kept running until he reached a dock, a boat was just departing. "Wait for me Sylvester!" he called out. He ran and jumped, he landed in the water and swam towards the boat, he could swim. The boat sped forward while he could not swim fast enough to catch it. He stopped swimming, he was too tired, slowly he started sinking into the black water of depth, all he could see was a green ribbon,he grabbed it and closed his eyes slowly. Then, he started falling, until his feet touched a sandy bottom, he opened his eyes and took in a deep breath, the fresh saltiness of ocean air.

He looked around and saw that he was now only in water that was up to his waist. He walked in the water, he noticed it's murkiness but felt no effects. He saw a girl swimming rapidly as if scared of something. Ayden started swimming toward her curiously. He reached out for her, but like the other girl, she too vanished. He waved his hands wildly around the place she had just been a moment before. A blue ribbon fell from the sky and landed in his hand he clenched his fist around it and stuck the ribbon into his robes.

The murky water seemed to be disappearing, he looked around him and all the water was gone and before him was a path. He didn't know where it led to, but his curiousity made him want to know. The path seemed to be split, one half dark the other very light. The dark side seemed to have more appeal to him, so he sticked to that side. He began running once again. Why? Because something was telling him to, like a giant game of tag, he had to chase everyone he saw.

As he traveled further down the darkened path, a few thunderheads rolled over him. A flash followed by a loud sound that made the earth trembel, beneath Ayden's feet. Behind the flashes of light, Ayden could see the moon and the star's brighter then ever, it seemed. Another roar came from up in the sky, and Ayden felt droplets of wetness falling on him, it was raining, only, it wasn't the clear water, it was blood. The thick red colored substance was covering his body. He ran faster, now chasing after the moon, which seemed to be disappearing behind the clouds, he stopped when he thought he had finally reached the moon, "Just have to get on top of this house, and then I can touch it, "He said as he looked at a house that was just below the moon. He looked at one of the windows of the house, inside was a boy staring at the moon, "Maybe he wants to touch it too. I should go get him and tell him how to do it." Ayden said.

He tried to get inside the house, but it was locked so he waited beneath a willow tree, and began to weep, because he could not tell the boy about his discovery, the boy must've seen him because he walked outside towards Ayden. Ayden looked up and reached his hand out for the boy. But the boy only ran, "Wait." he said. But the boy only kept running.

The boy seemed to mysteriously change, and now had blood spattered over him, Ayden chased him still. Arrows flew through the air behind him, but Ayden continued to follow the boy. The boy rose a sword to him and turned around. Ayden looked at him curiously, and felt his arms drop slightly as a new weight was added. He looked at his hands and found them clenching a sword tightly. Ayden heard a shout off in the distance and he whirled around. Another boy had come to play tag with him. Only he pointed some odd contraption towards him. "No!" Ayden yelled, but the boy seemed to not understand him. Ayden turned aroun once again and the boys both vanished. Ayden continued to run, chasing afte whatever he saw, until he saw a guy sitting down in the grass. The guy sat up, and Ayden looked at him curiously. He then sprang at him and ran towards him. The boy stood up, but Ayden was distraceted as he saw a black Shadow running away from them. As it came closer it took form.

Half woman, half horse. Ayden thought this creature to be more interesting then the boy, and began to chase after it instead. He notcied a girl running beside her, The centaur turned around and started to attack Ayden with its giant hooves, "It's just a horsey, I'm stronger," Ayden said as he stood up taller.

He reached out his hand to push the centaur away, but his hand felt something different then the soft hair of a horse, it felt a giant stone column instead. Ayden looked around and saw a crystal hovering behind his shoulder. A girl stood in front of him, she looked rather confused, like she didn't know what she was supposed to do, but some how Ayden knew. Ayden touched the crystal and seemed to hover off the ground a little bit. Ayden knew they were supposed to fight, he started hovering around and making small attacks, a crowd cheered, he was doing good. Ayden saw fear in the girls eyes, and began to chase after her. Another ribbon fell from the sky, this time a violet colored one. Ayden reached up and grabbed it and pocketed it. He looked around for the girl after being disracted by the ribbon, she was gone and so was the crystal he fell from the sky and landed firmly on a broken path. He began running again until he pulled all the ribbons out of his pocket and threw them into the sky, the twirled around in the hair hovring for a bit, and then twirled together into a black emptiness.

Ayden woke up right away and found himself on a giant bed he recognized as the one Heart had placed him in, although she was not there, she had gone too sleep on the couch that was just outside the bedroom he lay in. Ayden looked around his eyes and saw a shadow he could not recognize in the dark soAyden closed his eyes and rubbed them tiredly trying to adjust to the dark room. "Elana?" he whispered. His eyes took only a moment to adjust before he realized it was not Elana but the cloaked figure. Ayden had a warm sense that Elana was with one too though. "Elana, somethings about to happen." He thought.
PostPosted: Sat Mar 25, 2006 9:40 am

The cloaked figure that stood before Ayden and Elana were identical, face hidden in the darkness beneath the hood. The fabric rustled soundlessly as a shadowed hand emerged from a sleeve, palm raised upwards, in a gesture of beckoning. The figure before Elana bent down onto its knees, the figure before Ayden floated off the ground. And in unison the figures spoke.

"You have been given a mere glimpse of your task. But as of now, you are not strong enough to fulfil you duty. It will not be long, however, before you will have enough power. In the meantime, seek them out."

And they vanished.

It seemed an eternity ago when those dreams of being chased first started...and now, it seemed like she dreamed of nothing else. Ever since it started, she'd refused to go swimming, and she also tried to avoid any pools of water as often as she could. The pain she felt in her dream, the panic...she never wanted to feel that again. Naturally, she decided that the best way to get away from it, was to avoid the problem all together.

Until now, of course.

Vidya was on her way to pick up some food for Flob down in Barton, since Barton seemed to be the only town that had food suitable for demon frogs. It was her week to keep the ugly frog, and it had only recently run out of food. Her travel had brought her through to Bass'ken lake, and she stood on the pathway that overlooked the rippling water, gazing down at it as if she were unsure whether she wanted to run past it, or go down and swim in it. She seemed to withdraw into her own thoughts, her headwings lowering in confusion and discomfort over she situation she'd just found herself in. Dream or not, for a girl who always swam everyday...well...withdrawal, anyone?

Her fingers tightened on the strap of her shoulderbag as she slowly stepped to the side. Vidya was neither going near the lake nor going away from the lake.

"Just leave me alone!" Elena snapped, her voice carrying clearly across the open area around the lake. Flipping her braided hair over a shoulder, the girl stalked angrily away from her familiar, Rasalus. You know how parents refuse to admit their kids have grown up? Well, that's what Salus had been doing ever since Elena had suddenly and startlingly grown overnight.

Jerava, however, hadn't done much besides sigh and take the girl clothes shopping again.

Elena was, by now, rather sick of being treated like she was still a little girl, as if she was as young as Anarya again. Hence the eruption today while they were out looking around Gaia; Elena hadn't really seen much beyond Barton and the zoo in Gambino. Hunching her dark blue jacket over her shoulder, Elena continued her stiff legged walk, Rasalus staying behind in confusion.

Staring at the ground as she walked, Elena had no real idea where she was going, and didn't notice that she was on a collision course with another person. The sound of her muttering under her breath could always clue that other person in in time to get out of the way, unless they too were lost intheir own thoughts.

Vidya's headwings twitched at the angry voice, though the girl herself was too busy staring down at the ripples in the water to care who was around her. The water was so, so tempting...but the pain...would it happen to her outside of the dream, like it did so vividly inside...?

Taking a thin breath, Vidya slowly moved her foot to step backwards: luckily, this was at the time when Elena was nearly about to collide with her. By the time the star-haired girl crossed her path, Vidya was just out of collision range. Lost in her own world, the blue-skinned tale had narrowly avoided a collision...but that didn't mean she wasn't startled out of her own thoughts!

"HOLYHELL!" Vidya cried out in surprise, her startle causing her to trip over her own two feet. After a few seconds of windmilling her arms, she fell ungracefully back onto her butt. Her silverish white eyes were wide and focused as she stared up at the girl who'd appeared out of nowhere before her.

"Oh God...You scared me...!" She informed the star-haired girl, not yet realizing who she was. Instead, she'd bowed her head with a heavy sigh of relief, her hand pressed against her chest as if to still her fluttering heart.

Daytime was pretty lame. People were at work instead of crowding the streets with their chatter and strange behavior like they ought to be. Sylvester had recently discovered that watching people was almost as much fun as watching TV, but he hadn't anticipated their need to earn a living since he had never needed to. After a few hours of aimless walking, he found himself outside the Stationery Shop, a place he hadn't been to since he had grown. Not that he had been much of anywhere since then, but that was beside the point. The place looked so small. He pushed the door open and made his way inside, wondering if there would be anyone else around.

Of course not. Why was it that whenever he showed up here with Mama there were like eighty other people to talk to but now, nothing? She must be some kind of crazy Tale magnet. Sylvester sighed and fell back onto the couch, forcing a great sigh out of the cushions. He didn't feel the need to go outside again just yet, and it wasn't like he had anything better to do with his time than sit and wait, so he did.

Lance was tired.

No, he was beyond tired now. The poor dragon hadn't managed to catch more than a few moments of sleep in days. Not since the nightmare of the forest had began, anyway.

He'd told Dragonfly he was going for a walk. He'd said that there was somewhere he had to go. He couldn't remember where it was anymore, but it didn't matter. All he knew was that now he was walking. Walking to somewhere. Walking to nowhere at all. Just walking.

At some point he snapped out of his stupor, blinking twice as he realized he was near a lake. Bass'ken, his mind provided for him, before he yawned, and began walking the circumfrance of the leg. There was a person fishing on the opposite side of where he was, but Lance didn't particularily care for fishing.

He was tired. So tired...

Angelus figured maybe the Stationary shop would have answers. If anyone would have anything to know, it would be Linny or Huni. For almost a week now, insomnia caught hold of him. I mean, don't get him wrong, he loved the night, but having a good nights rest was rare now.

Stuffing his hands into his pockets, he thought about the dreams and his family. Two different subjects, but things that have been on his mind a lot recently.

Nearing the store, he used his shoulder to open the door and step right in. Raising his eyes from the ground, he realized that he wasn't alone. But the person that was there wasn't the one he was looking for.

He smiled, glad that he wouldn't be alone today since Silent was doing errands. "Sylvester? Wow! You've definately changed since the last time I saw you." His black wings rustled in excess energy.

"What are you doing here?" He asked the giraffe.
