Sebastian's golden eyes looked up at the female, measuring what his reaction should be before finally responding. "Merry meet, Manga the Artist. And you would be correct in my name, and my last job. However, my job as cook was only temporary. For now I work for Aila, which has nothing to do with almost being caught. My Bonded is simply gone and I am to wait here for him." He answered glibly.

Manga sketched silently for a few moments, then sighed, setting her charcoal down. "Lying is a nasty habit, Sebastian Leowe. Especially to the information broker who's been throwing false information around on your behalf. Free of charge." She flipped to the next page and began sketching again. "You're welcome."

Sebastian grunted. "I don't lie." He said tersely as he brought his knees up to his chest and huddled close to himself. "But thanks. I do appreciate it. Saves me a little bit of trouble..." He said, resting his pointed chin in between his knees.
Aila came out of the cabin and called to them as she wiped her bloody hands off on her apron.

"Telling a half-truth, then." Manga's charcoal and sketchpad disappeared almost the instant Aila called. She jogged back towards the medicine woman, slowing to a walk when she got close. "How is he?"

Sebastian followed Manga silently and stood beside her as she asked Aila about her friend.
Aila shrugged and placed her hands on her hips. "Not good, but not bad. He needs to be on bed rest until the stitches are able to hold on their one. I predict that to be a couple days so... welcome home for a week or so." She let out a half smile. "But now, it is time for you to explain what happened so that I can make sure he gets the treatment and salves that he needs."

Manga shook her head. "I don't know. He woke me up and said he needed a favor. When I took note of his wounds, all he would tell me was that he'd gotten himself into a bind." She was quite for a moment, mentally going over her information. "Due to the nature of the wounds and what I know about Tkal, there were likely at least five assailants. The first stabbed him with a knife from behind. As he turned and struck the first, the second stabbed him through with a spear. Considering the spear wound was the only severe injury, I'm assuming they accidentally cut his hair tie soon after that and they were either downed or they fled."

Aila nodded, her emerald eyes showing that she was taking in all the information. "Well, so long as the spears and knives weren't poisoned, he should be fine. It was a clean tear."
Sebastian watched Manga cautiously before turning to Aila.

Manga shook her head. "If they had been, he would've mentioned something. ... And his condition would've been much worse, considering the time it took to get here." She was quiet for a moment, then asked, "Is it alright if I go in?" She wanted to check on him...

Aila hesitated before nodding. "Go on ahead." She turned to Sebastian. "Get that deer before it spoils. II'm going back to the fields."
Sebastian nodded and went to the deer, grabbing it and taking it outback to the curing barn where he could fix it up to dry.

Manga quietly entered the cabin, a frown on her face as she watched him sleep. "How do we... get into these kind of messes...?" she mumbled. She looked around and pulled a nearby stool over so that she could sit on it, leaning against the wall. The artist took the quiet time to think, immersing herself in her thoughts.

Sebastian was first in the cabin after he strung up the meat to dry, and began washing himself at a basin near the entrance door. He peeked over his shoulder at Manga, his golden amber eyes watching her and her friend carefully. Just who was this artist/know-it-all, that knew so much about him?

Manga eventually shook her head to bring herself back to reality. She got to her feet, glancing at the unconscious Tkal for another moment before walking towards the door. But then her mind swam and she felt herself falling. Instinctively she reached out a hand, gripping the nearby counter to keep herself from faceplanting into the floor. Even so, the sudden dizzy spell sent her to her knees. She took a minute to breathe and try to regain control before shakily getting to her feet again.

Sebastian hurried to Manga and grabbed her as she went to fall. "Whoaaaaa... easy now." He said as he steadied her. "Lets go sit down." He suggested, leading her to a chair and helping her sit. "You okay?"

Manga felt herself automatically tense as she was grabbed, but didn't react further. "Thank you," she mumbled. She let him assist her to the chair, sighing as she sank into it. She put a hand over her eyes--well mask--as she leaned back. "I'm fine... just fatigued. It's been a long time since I've experienced this level of sleep deprivation..."

Sebastian sighed and shook his head. "There is a cot in the corner. You are more than welcome to use it. I will have dinner ready in an hour or so, but will be quiet until then." he offered kindly.
Aila came back in, finally down with the plowing. Jonda and Maera were now seeding, while Charli pulled a water trough through. Aila's work in the field was done, but she still had repairs she had to do. She smiled kindly at Manga, looking over at Sebastian as she washed her hands, hearing him offer his cot. "Yes, please do take a nap. You guys are welcome to stay until your friend there is better."
