'Famous. . .' Avacyn hadn't really thought about that. She'd prefer to be behind the lens than the focus of the shot any day. "Thank you," she smiled, thinking of paparazzi and herself circling each other while snapping images of the other.

"I haven't read the books you've mentioned," she paused before answering to compile a short list of books she'd read, most during her school career, "but I really enjoyed 1984 by George Orwell, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, and Moongazer by Marianne Mancusi. Oh! And the entire ghostwalker collection by Christine Feehan. Actually, Christine Feehan is probably my favorite author. I'd recommend all of those books, aside from hers, if the reader is a little on the younger side."

“Humm… a fan of dystopian societies, well, sort of. I’m more of a historical fantasy then futuristic but that’s just a personal preference.” Jessie shrugged and smiled gesturing to the barebones of the garden. The stone and heavy metal sculptures were still there peeking out from bushes or sitting in what will eventually become a riot of color when the flowers bloomed. Pan danced, playing his panpipes, in a bed of shoots… daffodils if Jessie remembered right. A dragon was curled around the base of the pedestal for the mirrored gazing ball. The flowers that would eventually screen him slightly were annuals so she changed them each year, Clover last year I think. Marigolds, with maybe a few brighter colors for pop this year. Gnomes, fairies, silly faced gargoyles, all hid in the eventual color and green providing kids and adults alike amusement when they spot them. “I personally like the elf door that I add to one of the trees once everything starts to come in. I don’t like leaving some of the more fragile items out all winter.” The metal squirrel was one of those items and since it was moved often as a sort of a game, it wasn’t something Jessie wanted lost or damaged.

Jessie pulled her mind back to the interview… although it seemed to have digressed more into a book conversation which Jessie liked a lot more than the typical interview questions. “Anyway, other than those first three what would you suggest for a, hum…. Ten year old girl who is really into space and science?” No real answer was correct here, Jessie was just curious to see what Avacyn would come up with… even if it was a ‘not sure, would have to look.’

Avacyn took a moment to survey the bare garden and the fantastical decorations about it, spending a few moments more on the one wrapped around a pedestal. "The dragon statue is so pretty," she said, almost wanting to get something similar to decorate her apartment with.

The question caused the pink-haired girl's brows to furrow as she thought for a moment before answering, "Honestly, all I can think of off the top of my head is The Magic School Bus, but I'm not sure how appropriate that is. I'd definitely have to look that up."

figure its wrapping up.... is she going to take the job?

Jessie smiled, it was one of her favorites too. It kind of reminded her of Ladon, the dragon who guarded the tree of the golden apples in the Garden of the Hesperides.

"I would have had to look it up too so that's normal." As far as Jessie could tell this young woman would work just fine. "One more question. If the paperwork works out, would you be ok working nearly full time or would you rather work a day here and there?"

"Nearly full time is what I was looking for, but I'm available to work any shift," Avacyn smiled, heart fluttering with excitement. She prepared herself for whatever Jessie was to say next.

sweet well we can hand wave the 'official' hiring if you want ^^. hell we could hand wave the training too but thats up to you XD

"Thats good" Jessie knew that Jackson was pulling as many hours as he possibly could so getting a second person would make it easier on all three of them. "Well I just need to check your references but unless something really goes wrong I can say you have the job if you want it." She knew the paper work hadn't been filled out but since all it had on it was the basic stuff; name, contact info, references, brief job history, it shouldn't take too long to get filled out. Then there was all the tax information but that would wait until the first day of training. Oh goodie. Jessie made a mental note to call her accountant to figure out just what needed to be done.

"Really?! That's awesome! Thank you so so much," Avacyn had done a poor job containing her excitement. It took all of her self-control not to run up and hug Jessie.

"I guess I should probably fill out the application then," she said, remembering she left it on the counter inside. She had a knack for forgetting things at the worst possible times.

“I don’t see why not. You do read, know some stuff, and is willing to learn more.” Jessie smiled and got up, dusting off her pants. “All good earmarks for a budding bibliophile.” She laughed at her own lame joke, after all being a bibliophile didn’t mean squat when it came to working in a bookstore although it did help if you have read a large variety of books, but looking them up helps too. “Well let’s head back inside and get that pesky paperwork done. I can give you a quick walk through and I should be able to get back to you with in the week.” She started heading back inside pleased with how the day went. She had gotten the courtyard cleared and ready for planting and she now had a new employee. A good day.
