Victoria nods as she picks up the coins from the table. She would place them in her pocket ...and away from any confusion that she was betting more than she was.

She didn't mind being reeled in. At the moment, she understood better what she would gain and what she would lose as she places the 5 gold back on the table.

She only was betting this much as she smiles at the woman.

"Thank you, and with that, I am betting once more ....this time I am going to try for a odd number, 5, red."

She would declare as she knew how rare 5's were, but still she took a chance and risk on it. If she was to put down 5, why not bet for that same 5. Victoria would wait for the end result as she looks up and down the woman in front of her. She could only hope for the best, as she smiles lightly at her, and waited for the overall verdict.

Replying with a wordless nod the woman would place her fingers upon the wheel once more, spinning it sharply before going about the task of watching it's movements.

This time around the woman would actually raise an eyebrow. Seemed this kid had at least some luck on her "Red Five" She announced clearly before distributing the tokens. Victoria had once again managed to half win, and half lose, though she'd succeeded in the more difficult half of this particular bet. Like before she would place thirty five tokens on the table.

Victoria would smile as she received the coins. She now had a total of 65 coins. She had had very good luck here, but even she could feel the cruel claws of fate at her back. In fact, the claws also had feathers and wings as she felt Eve at her back. The pokemon seemed to have decided that she wasn't going to be ignored any longer as Victoria rolled her eyes and then tapped her with a pokeball.

"Mommy is done playing here, let's try something else."

She told the Murkrow as she recalls her to her pokeball, and then clip it back upon her belt.

"That was fun, thank you, but I think I will try the slots now."

Victoria would walk away the winner at the table, even if she was unable to really win as big as she hope. She would go over to the slots to give them a try as she slip 3 coins in the game.

She knew that she had less of a chance of winning this game than the other, but one game couldn't hurt. Then she would need to move on...she can always come back here later.

Thus, she would take her chances at the slot as she pulled down the little arm.

Despite her previously luck at the roulette Victoria would find the slots just didn't agree with her. When the wheel of symbols stopped spinning it would be to reveal that not a single symbol had matched. Better luck next time. She'd be getting no new TOKENS.

(62 Tokens)

Victoria wasn't too upset about her lost. Afterall, it was three coins out of 65, so she was willing to give it one more try. The girl was having a bit of a time convincing herself at that moment that she wasn't turning into a gambler as she would try the slots one more time.

If it failed, she was going to head ....towards a new destination. The girl would place three tokens in the machine and then pull it.

(59 tokens)

Victoria knew she would have continued at the game, but there was other things that needed to be done. Thus she would turn and walk away from the machine ...it was time to get back to business, and she had a professor to find.

The girl would turn and head towards the Battle hotel as she prepared to see if there was something a bit more ....filling for her pocket. She hadn't forgot the strange pass power she had acquire, and there was a wish to see just how well it might work.

Afterall, battle hotel ...sounded like a place to get into plenty of trouble.

Upon reaching the Battle Hotel Victoria would find that it seemed to match only half the name. Entering the lobby she'd be met with plush rugs, polished white marble floors, elegant lighting fixtures, and even a fountain in the middle of the room. It had every look of a very high class hotel...except for perhaps the clientèle walking about. Contrasting rather heavily with the buildings own image, the people other then the staff looked ruff and rugged, the sort of folks just itching to fight anyone that looked at them the wrong way...though something seemed to be holding them back.

As luck would have it however, despite the lavish design and presence of various trainers, the front desk was clear, the clerk was even bothering to stand there. Well dressed in a white shirt, black vest, and red tie, the man looked a bit snooty...thus fitting his surroundings perfectly.

Victoria normally didn't care too much about her surrounds, she didn't think about her dress ...much nor anything much outside of the battles, but one look at this place and she actually felt shabby. She looked at her clothing ..when was the last time she changed them.

Her mind would reel back to the entire incident at the powerplant, and she remembered all the times she went back to her own land to take a bath. Other than that ...she had to admit, she didn't do a lot of changing nor grooming. Her hair that had been shocked so many times ...she was surprise she didn't have a permanent frizz, and her clothing.

She felt grubby, and actually felt a bit of a blush on her face as she enter the place.

"Maybe, this wasn't such a good idea."

She told herself as she walked. The people looked so refine, and then she noticed it ...the people who worked here. They had a gruffness about them that took a bit of the shivers out of her ...even as a woman with a what look like Mino fur on asked her to take her bags to her room.

Victoria quite politely told her ...where to take those bags ...as she went to the front desk.

"I bet Raven would feel right at home here."

She snicker to herself. She hadn't forgot his ill manners the last time they spoke as she went over to the counter.

"Hello? Ummm...do you have battles here?"

She wasn't even thinking about trying to purchase a room. That place looked good, smell good, and probably would make a good dent in her wallet ...if she didn't have to go into debt to stay here.

"The sign does read 'Battle Hotel'...or are you another one of those illiterate buffoons?" The man questioned snidely, looking down upon Victoria in the same way she might a piece of stale gum on the floor "I'm sorry did I used too many big words? No matter" The man said, brushing it off. Clearly he didn't care much for the child, and would be all to happy to be rid of her swiftly. "The standard room is 1000. 2500 for the deluxe suit. The standard contains a bed, standard healing station, bathroom, and access to a balcony" The man stated clearly "Of course if you're just another ruffian looking for a fight..." The man placed a black and gold key-card on the counter, a string notably tied through a hole in it's corner so the card could be worn around the neck "Standard Battle pass is 100. Valid until you leave the building. Provides no access to healing facilities or any of the hotels recreational facilities. Only provides access to occupied rooms rooms of the standard quality. There's a deluxe version but somehow doubt it's within madame's price range."

Victoria would go red in the face ....as he started to rebuke her for her foolishness. She listened for as long as she could stand it, before that blush turned to a nice coloration of rage. She reached up ...as she stood on her tiptoe and grabbed the man swiftly. Her angle was perfect for pulling him down, but her weight ....she knew she could easily found herself pulled onto the other side of the counter if she wasn't quick enough. She was hoping surprise would be on her side as she howls in his face.

"Illiterate buffoons, do I looked like a freaking pokemon to you? I just asked a questions ...though I do love Illumise and Boufflant is strong ..I am not either. Okay my clothing is a bit shabby, my hair a bit puffy, but I am a freaking trainer for pity sake. I travel ...and travel, and you have no idea of the ******** missions I have been sent on ...so cut me a break."

"Also, 1,000 for a damn standard room, and use of the healing station, ...that is highway robbery what the hell is the toilets made of gold or something Is this place too high class to own something as simple as a pokemon center? Don't act so freaking surprise, you said it yourself this is a battle hotel ...I figured it was a place for battling not some prissy formal event."

She would finally release the guy as she rock back on her hills. She was done with he majority of her rant as she hit the counter with a 100 gold coins.

"Give me the shitty Standard pass ...and I challenge you to start off with. As stuff as your shirt is, you got to have the pokemon to back up that, snobby attitude of yours."

Victoria would declare loudly as she pointed one finger at him. This was a girl that was used to being looked down on ...pitied, and for that reason alone ...she knew it was best to deal with those type of people up front.

This man made her see Raven all over again. That snotty attitude, his way of looking down on her, and his obsession with defense. She didn't miss that he was rocking two steel type pokemon with a defense set up that could make anyone cry, and that she had to admit, she couldn't think of his more offensive ones at all ...he hide behind defense just like this guy was hiding behind a counter.

Though Victoria was seeking to pull him out from back there.

If he is going to talk the talk, than he better have the pokeballs to back it up. Though Victoria had no clue...in her declaration she had probably proven his point about using big words. Afterall, Victoria is only a kid.

The reply to Victoria's challenge would as it was oft to when the girl began shouting at people she didn't fully know the power scope of. When the child had released her grip she would rather abruptly find herself several feet higher than was natural, placing her at about eye level with the snooty man, who even now merely dusted off the spot where she'd grabbed him. The culprit of this sudden increase would prove to be a Machamp wearing a hat which labelled him clearly as a bellhop. "Young lady as you shall soon discover being able to heal without leaving is worth it's weight in gold around here, and the sum of 1000 is nothing compared to the gain from our other clients" The desk clerk stated calmly, shifting his gaze to the Machamp after "Reginald, would you be so kind as to take this child to the first floor hall? She seems to be a beginner."

With the command given the Machamp would nod, and while carrying a bag in each of his remaining hands, would carry Victoria off and out of the Lobby.

As it was only the first floor hall the trip wouldn't take long, and unlike previous occasions the child would actually find herself being deposited on the floor quite gently, even receiving a pat on the head before the Machamp departed and returned to his other tasks. Now able to look around the hall, Victoria would find it to be as lavish as the rest of the building, but otherwise fairly standard. The only thing which stood out from the endless sea of doors was a little sign by the door handle. While some merely read 'do not disturb' clearly declaring the occupants had no desire to battle, others had a sign baring 'type' symbols. It would seem those with rooms had rules to follow, and that meant openly declaring what type of Pokemon they'd be using!

Victoria was foaming at the mouth at being suddenly picked up ....as she kicked her legs in the air a bit as she grabbed the Standard battle pass on the way up. She might be pissed, but she was poor and knew better than to leave her merchandise behind. Though she didn't wiggle too much, nor did she aim any attacks at the Machamp. She hadn't miss the care in which she had been lifted ...neither by the back of the shirt or simply by her jacket ...both would make any movement ...increasingly uncomfortable.

Instead, the pokemon had made it a point to fist both her shirt and her jacket ...suspending her by her clothing, but not making it pinch in the airs in the least. This guy or pokemon is a professional as she shouts at him ...as she is taken away.

"Snotty coward!"

The girl didn't care about being taken to the beginner area. Afterall, it was nothing strange about starting at the bottom as she was place gently back on the floor and would wave goodbye to the pokemon. Though she called nothing out as she dust off her back a bit.

"So, let's see where to go?"

She thought about her pokemon that needed training and would start towards the ghost door. She wasn't completely sure if she understood the rules of the doors, but she figured she could easily find out ...as she enter Room 2.
PostPosted: Sun Sep 29, 2013 10:10 am

Entering the room Victoria would be greeted with a fairly standard sight. A neat and clean hotel room complete with bed, dresser, a small TV, closet space, door to the balcony and a closed door which likely lead to the bathroom. The oddity was that with the curtains closed, the room was completely dark save for a handful of incense candles, and....was that the sound of a deerling scare?

Although the room itself seemed relatively standard, it gave off something of a chilling atmosphere...and seated in the middle of this room was a young woman, black hair cropped short, her eyes closed tight, garbed in what looked like the clothes of an old fashioned shrine maiden. "Welcome Victoria. Are you prepared for battle? I warn you only defeat lies in your future!" The woman both introduced and announced "Predicition. Mizuki Kamikiri."

All Victoria could think as she walks into the room ...is that this was so not worth the 1,000 gold it would take to keep participating here. In fact, it makes more sense to leave, and pay for another 100 pass ...than do that. The pokemon center normally heals for free, so what that person at the front counter was talking about is pure idiocy.

Anyway, she had other things to worry about as her eyes fell on the girl in the darkness. THe light giving her skins a sicken coloration that made her

"Wait just one moment."

Victoria would throw out a single pokeball as the Murkrow would erupt from it. She would flap her wings strongly as she would glide before coming back to see ...that Victoria had strip off her jacket, and was quickly tying it over her own face.

"Eve will be battling you here, now if that isn't possible just tell me and I will switch her out with another pokemon."

She told the girl even as she tighten it quite a bit.

"Now, if everything is ready ...I am ready to battle you."

Victoria hadn't forgotten her own fear in that moment as Eve would perch on her head.

(Momma, what's wrong?)

The girl would only reach a hand up and rub her underneath the chin.

"Everything is fine, it's time for you do some training ...that is all."

She told her softly.
