✦ sample adventure ✦ For this adventure we will be doing Hidden Treasure. We will have an NPC run through a solo adventure to show you how you should be posting as well as giving advice on how to do an adventure.
We will have the NPC, Nayal, who is an Apprentice Battler, run through it. Here is a little about her:
She is a descendant of the Oblivionite Leader, Draco, and has an attitude and arrogance about her. She believes in the superiority of the Oblivionite race and tends to say that her grandfather would not approve of this or that. She tends to rely upon his authority rather than her own. She is the first original Magescian character of Brolis' that started this entire shop. She is also available for RP should any one wish to do so. Her posts will be in black, the colored BLUE words will be our comments and suggestions on what to do.

The title of this thread would be: [ongoing] Hidden Treasure [ Nayal ]. [ongoing] would change to [finished] when the Adventure is complete. You create a separate thread for each and every Adventure you do. The Statistics can either be placed in the first prompt's post (in a quote), or in the title post by itself. We prefer (if there are multiple character's within one Adventure) that you each create the character stats post in separate posts before the Adventure begins.Nayal's Statistics Character's Name: Nayal Stage: Apprentice Class: n/a Level: 10 Stats: xxxxxLP: 95 xxxxxENG: 95
xxxxxINT: 5 xxxxxATK: 18 xxxxxDEF: 14 xxxxxLUK: 2
Inventory: xxxxxYsali Dragon Orb Beginning Deciding to take a break from your training and lessons, you have wandered off to the sea side. How you travel to the shore is up to your imagination, but when you have finally arrived at your designation it is late afternoon. As you stroll along the sandy shore and enjoy the soothing sounds of the waves beating upon the shore, a glimmer inland catches your eye. Looking towards it you see what ever sparkled has vanished into a dark opening in the rocky hillside next to you. As you wander over towards the hill, you can see that while it might be a tight squeeze, you think you can enter into the dark tunnel beyond. Nayal decided to take a trip to the shorelines of Soudul to get away from the hustle and bustle of Obsidian City. Being the leader's descendant, there was always so much pressure placed upon her to do whatever was needed to further the Oblivionite's cause. It was definitely nice to get away and spend a few hours alone every now and again.
As she walked upon the shore, the dark oceanic water flowing over her bare feet every time the waves pushed and pulled, she caught eye of something glimmering in the darkened sunlight across the way. It had vanished, but there was what seemed to be a cave in the distance.
For her curiosity's sake, she began to move towards the cave ever-so-slowly. It was dark, dreary, and damp. All the things that Oblivionites were so used to. With a shrug of her shoulders, she decided it wouldn't be a bad idea to take a step in and see what this mysterious cave held inside.
If you decide to leave without entering, then give a reason why and go to Quit. If you wish to continue inside the tunnel, also give a reason why and go to Entering. As you can see, I put the route Nayal decided to take in BOLD. This allows your readers to easily see which path they decided to take.

Entering As you squeeze into the dark tunnel, you can see a little in front of you. There are small animal tracks in the dirt beneath you. Wiggling your way slowly through the tunnel, you come upon a side tunnel. Both trails have animal tracks, though the path forward seems more traveled. Will you continue forward or turn and go down the side tunnel? Or have you had enough and want to crawl backwards and leave? The dark and damp tunnel split off into two separate ways. She looked down each way, realizing that going forward would probably be better than taking the side tunnel. Because of this, she decided to continue onward through the small crevice.
If you... A) go forward, Go to "A: Forward," B) go down the side tunnel, Go to "B: Side Tunnel"

Magesc rolled 1 100-sided dice:
5
Total: 5 (1-100)

A: Forward! Deciding to ignore the side tunnel, you continue on-wards. It seems a long time passes as you crawl forward, hands and knees hurting from the rocky ground and back cramping. Suddenly the dim air lightens; a gleam appears in front of you. As you crawl towards the light.....
Please roll a d100! A) 1-10:: you tumble off the cliff edge. The fall will not kill you, but it will hurt! Go to "A1: Fall!". B) 11-100:: you notice the floor suddenly dropping away and stop in time to not fall. Go to "A2:: Aware of Surroundings" A1: Fall A2: Aware of Surroundings
So engaged in crawling towards the light, you didn't notice the rocky ground give way beneath your hands. You tumble off the edge! You feel your breath knock out of you as you crash into the floor. Laying there stunned for a bit, you can feel the bruises forming and know from the dull ache that tomorrow will hurt. Looking back up the wall, you see you have fallen some distance. (Feel free to RP a bone break or something, we will not force you to get badly wounded, but if you want them to be...)
The tunnel was slowly becoming smaller and smaller as she furthered herself through little by little. Not realizing she was at the cliff's edge, Nayal took another step forward and the edge crumbled beneath her, causing her to fall down to the ground with a thud.
"OUCH!" she screamed as she stood up and looked back up the wall she had just fallen down into. She rubbed her lower back and stretched, feeling the pain that she knew would feel even worse tomorrow.
Go to "Cavern Room"Because Nayal was forced to roll a die, the die determined her fate. In which she ended up falling. Having an item available (for example, the Second Chances or Foresight talisman) can cause a dramatic difference in the way the Adventure flows. Sometimes it is best to stock up before an adventure, because after an Adventure has begun, it is impossible to go back.

Cavern Room Looking around at your surroundings you see a small cavern light up from a hole in the ceiling. Tree roots have forced their way into this cave and opened up a path for light and water. A small pond has formed beneath the opening. In the middle of it you see a tiny island. It is covered in junk. Some rags, broken bottles and broken jewelry. Also amid the pile you can spot something sparkling in the light. The only openings that you can leave or enter this room from are from a tunnel that comes out half way up the wall or a tunnel that leads off into the dark again. What do you do? What are your character's thoughts? Nayal came into the clearing to view a beautiful pile of junk. Had she just wasted her time? What was she doing down here in the first place? Curious again, she decided it was best to at least check out the pile and see what exactly was all throughout it. She couldn't leave this place empty handed after all. Then the little trip would be for nothing.
Do you: A) Approach the pond and its pile? Go to "Loot" B) Leave? Go to "Leaving B" if you wish go out the tunnel in the middle of the wall or "Leaving A" if you wish to go out the tunnel in the wall.

Loot! Approaching the pile, you wade through the cold pond waters. It is not deep and you can see small fish swim away from your noisy intrusion. As you reach the pile, you can see it is mostly rocks and trash gathered by some small creature, but amidst the trash you find an Ayrala and Peisio Dragon Orb! (one for each participant) Wading through the icy waters was a difficult task for someone not apt in swimming or plunging in the cold water. Finally, the Oblivionite reached the pile of her desire. Picking up piece of filth after piece of junk, Nayal went through the entire pile, finally finding something precious amongst the junk. Both an Ayrala and Peisio Dragon Orbs! This Adventure wasn't for nothing after all. Placing the two orbs into her pockets, she now decided there was nothing else to do but leave.
Now to leave. Go to "Leaving B" if you wish go out the tunnel in the middle of the wall or "Leaving A" if you wish to go out the tunnel in the wall.

Leaving A As you leave the cave behind you and crawl through the dark winding tunnel the sharp rocks protruding from the walls scratch and gouge you. It gradually slopes upwards, back towards the surface. After a while, you reach another tunnel. Looking down you can see the tracks that you made earlier. Following them out, you squeeze out back onto the surface. The sun is now on the horizon. Wading through the waters yet again, Nayal made her way back from the miniature island in the middle of that pond. Wrapping her arms around herself, she found that it would be much easier to leave through the hole on the ground rather than try and get up to where she had fallen from earlier.
She realized that this led her back through the sloping tunnel and back to where she had met her first crossroads earlier. Following the path towards the exit, she noticed the sun on the horizon when she finally made her way out of the winding tunnels of the cave.
Now she could leave, go home, and enjoy her new prizes with a story to tell for ages to come. After all, one man's junk is another man's treasure. Now that the Adventure is over and concluded, you would go post in the Finished Adventures thread. Doing that allows you to claim any and all prizes you have acquired throughout the adventure. Also, be sure to post in the Statistics thread if you've gained any experience or levels so that those can be added to your profile. Since this RP was 574 words total, it does count as an RP requirement if she wishes to claim it.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this guide! Now get out there and Adventure about the World of Magesc!
