Persephone nodded, and she picked up an artifact, examining it. It seemed like some sort of plate, maybe? She wasn't entirely sure.
"This stuff is so well-preserved..." She murmured. While she didn't follow Ida upstairs at first, preferring to wander and put her hands on all kinds of artifacts, smiling softly. It was so beautiful - even with the dead planet outside, she had to accept that this was lovely. She eventually wandered upstairs, and like Ida, lost herself in guest rooms. These were signs of life, even if it was life from a very long time ago.
There were people here, once, and this was the remains of their lives. I was sad, but happy at the same time. A strange feeling.
She peeked her head out. "Who lived here, do you think?"

Ida heard the question from far away as she went up the next set of stairs to what seemed to be a large living space. It was spacious and comfortable, the decorations graceful, but homey at the same time.
Large windows ringed the outer wall, letting in great swathes of sunlight that lit up the room, sparking off the jewel-toned colors of the furniture. At least, it had probably been richly colored at once time, but dust had dulled everything somewhat, muting the warmth she could feel just under the surface. Or maybe remembered was a better word.
Wandering close to a side table by a comfortable chair, she reached to touch the orchids that stood in a vase. Like everything else, their color was muted, but might once have been an electric blue purple. They appeared almost perfectly preserved... but when her fingers touched them, they crumbled to dust, breaking off in little bits that fell to the table.
"I think I did." She said quietly, whether or not Persephone had come up the stairs behind her.

Persephone ended up drifting over to the room where Ida was, and here, she was almost afraid to touch. Maybe it was something about the way Ida seemed to be so carefully taking everything in, but this place seemed too...intimate to disturb.
She looked up from the furniture when Ida finally answered her question. Of course,t hat answer only brought up more questions.
"You? You mean...the last Sailor Ida, from a thousand years ago, right?" She blinked slowly. "Or, whenever it was." She knew, understood, a little of it, in theory. Once upon a time, the Senshi had been protectors of their planets, bad things had happened, Silver Millennium fell, everyone died, the very sad end. But firsthand experience...that she was lacking.

"Hmm, what? Oh! Yes... the old Sailor Ida." She said as the senshi drifted away from the table and towards her knew friend, feeling nostalgic, homesick, and a little depressed all at once.
Summoning up a smile, she reached out to give the other senshi a pat on the shoulder. "Thanks for coming with me. I really appreciate it. I think this is probably enough for one time though... I'm getting kinda tired and we've got, oh, a bajillion light years to go before we get home." She joked with a soft laugh, turning to head for the door of the room.
"I could bring you back sometime if you want. There is a whole world to explore after all, and that's a lot for just one girl." Ida said as she smiled, pushing down the dark mood that seemed to want to settle on her.

Persephone put her hand on Ida's arm for a moment. "Yeah, it's obviously been...quite the experience for you." She said, and then she squeezed gently before releasing her.
She quietly followed Ida out the door, her expression sad the entire time. "I wonder if every planet is like this," she mused aloud, and then she shook her head a little. "That's probably not something to think about. I...I'd love to come back, but right now...home sounds great."

Ida smiled for real this time as the pair came out of the building, the flower senshi maneuvering the door shut behind them just to keep the elements out.
"I don't know what other planets are like, I guess... I've never been to any of the others, or really talked to anyone about it. I suppose they're all as different as their senshi, but either no one ever brings anything back or, like here, there is nothing to bring back."
Coming close, she tentatively took Persephone's hand and gave her a real smile.
"Home we go." She said as she concentrated and hit the button on her cell phone again.
