A post in the thread where I was reported for my stance:

Ebony the Peacian Vampire
But no one can "make" a woman have sex, just like no one can make a man commit rape.
Why should the fetus die due to its father's crime, or a mistake of both parents, or contraception failure?
Why should the fetus die due to its father's crime, or a mistake of both parents, or contraception failure?
Isn't the act of rape forcing someone to have sex against their will? That would certainly qualify as making someone have sex. Why should a rape victim be forced to carry a child she never consented to have? She shouldn't have to, but she should definitely be allowed that choice.
But who made the rapist commit such a tragic crime? No one. It was his own selfish deed.
Why should an innocent form of life have to sacrifice its life, its potential, its choice because its father was a rapist, or its mother was horny, or the contraception failed?
No one is doubting that rape is a terrible crime. To me, rape is one degree below murder.
But what I question is, "Why can't we help the mother deliver the baby safely, send it to a pair of parents that will love him/her" - there is someone out there willing to adopt, so don't pull the "If it's not a healthy white baby, it's worthless to people!" argument on me - "and help the mother live the rest of her life thinking 'I left my child with a loving family' as opposed to 'I killed my child'?"
The girl has been through enough pain. Enough drama. Enough life-ruining activities.
The terror of abortion is only going to add yet another layer of angst to a young woman's life.
The woman's voice is important. I am pro-woman, pro-child, and pro-life. I believe a woman has every right to choose for herself. But never for another being. And yes, it is another being, in case no one has seemed to notice.
Choicers argue that women, denied the right to choose abortion, will be deemed worth no more than incubators. Passageways into the world.
Well, I argue that women have become nothing but sex toys since 1973. We have been denied our dignity, our respect, and our political and social worth because we have been looked on as nothing but "that thing with the two X chromosones that banged me till my eyes were crossed."
Abortion is not a right for a woman to have. It does not deem us respectable or powerful. Instead, it gives other people yet another reason to keep neglecting us, and our true worth.
Face it. We women were given vaginas and ovaries and uteruses for a purpose: to give life.
You will argue that we were also given these parts for pleasure during intercourse. Whilst this is true, with intercourse comes pregnancy.
(Unless you're protected. And don't use exaggerations to gain my sympathy. You combine 1-2 condoms and the pill, you have less than five percent chance of getting pregnant. Pill: .4 chance of preventing pregnancy; condom: [around].)
With pregnancy, comes life.
You argue: "Quality over quantity!" I argue "There is one death every 11 seconds!" Life within itself is better than none at all. Who are you to say that the child's life will be worthless and painful?
Beethoven was born deaf and poor. Was he worthless? Abraham was born in a damned one-room log cabin, so poor than he had to teach himself how to read and write. Was he worthless too?
You also argue that a fetus is not life. A fetus is not an independent form of life until birth.
This might explain why, during partial birth abortion, the head remians inside of the uterus, - (the doctor pulls out the baby - that's right, baby, not fetus - by the feet) - because, once the head is completely out, by a Choicer's standards, the child is alive.
Death for the sake of death within itself.
Abortion for a woman's health.
Whilst I can see where this might make sense, I remian firm in my stance. It is life, and has its own voice too.
Merriam-Webster Online defines health as: the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit.
Being sound. Comfort. Not for the sake of a woman's life! Not for her true well-being. For her comfort.
"Pro-lifers can't be feminists!"
Bull. Once again, I'm going to quote Beware the Jabberwock. She is my hero.

Beware the Jabberwock
I'm sick of being told that I can't be a feminist because I'm pro-life. You know what I'm talking about Talon, darling. Feminism is about equality, abortion isn't. If you think that the only way that women can be equal to men is by having a medical procedure, or at least having it available I'm sorry you think women are so ******** fragile.
You know what? I'm a woman and I'm strong enough to believe that I don't need sex to make me equal. I don't need a man to make me equal. And I certainly don't need the right to kill my children, to make me equal. I'm equal because I'm me, I'm equal because I'm a person and every bit as good as any other person and don't you dare try to tell me that that isn't enough to make me, me. Don't you dare try to tell me that I need you or a ******** abortion doctor to be equal. All I need is my own goddamn self, thankyouverymuch.

So there you have it.
She basically summarized everything I had to say. Jabberwock has a bit of a habit of doing this.

(I hope this wasn't offensive to anyone. I just am standing firm in my place, is all.)

Was this offensive at all, in any way?
