xxxxWhy was she even bothering to go to this lame highschool meeting thing? It had been years since she talked to anyone whom she graduated with and the girl wasn't sure what was making her want to go. Was it curiosity? Out of all people she wanted to see, it just had to be the one whom she hadn't heard of in forever, the one that she had been with all throughout her highschool days. Shaking away the thoughts, she held the invitation, staring at it to try and determine if it was really that time of year - if it really had been so long since she had graduated. Giving a sigh of frustration, the girl shook her head and ran a hand through her hair. Maybe she should go but why would he? School had been nothing but days of trouble for him and rumor was he had straightened up his act so why in the world would he want to go back for anything? It was worth a try but who was she kidding? 'I'm not putting myself through pain again.. I can't let myself fall back into his arms, if he is there.' Then again, rumor around town was that he was back but as far as she knew, they were just rumors.
Throwing two of her precious bags of chex mix puppie chow into a bowl and covering it, she soon started to focus on the task of getting ready for this big meeting. Food was already made, hell, she had done things the lazy way and now it was time to go ahead and get dressed. Sure, dressing up would make her look hell of a lot better but as far as she was concerned, she wasn't that prim and proper person, no, she was a party girl and she hadn't ever been to any parties where you had to dress up. Grabbing her chosen outfit and putting it on, she did her hair into a high pony tail, deciding that she would at least have another heavier coat in her car just in case things got too cold though for now she was glad to wear one of the coats from college. Really, she had gotten ready in the nick of time, she had about half an hour to get there unless she wanted to be fashionably late though she didn't want to be out if the storm were to hit.
Why they always arranged this thing on the days that it was supposed to be bad weather, she didn't know. "Maybe this is their way of telling us they don't want us to come back. Shame, if it were that simple, they may as well cancel the damn thing." She muttered, loading her jacket and her bowl of treats into her passenger seat, making sure everything was safe before driving off to the highschool. She didn't live too far but with the weather, everyone was driving like a turtle and it was much too dangerous to pass. But as it was, her car was built for speed, and wasn't meant to be behind all of these cars. The car had been a gift from her parents after she graduated, and she adored her Dodge Charger, it was her baby in every way. And so she would for now, behave and not pass this long line of cars in front of her.
Eventually, she made it to the school and she was sure that she was late. After all, a few cars were in the parking lot and the snow was just starting to stick. Parking a bit of a ways away from the main doors, Keirra grabbed her stuff and headed inside, turning to stare outside with a out. "Why couldn't you have waited til after, Jack Frost? It's too early for snow." She muttered, frowning as she turned to look around the room, setting her bowl of snacks down on a table with everything else and helping herself to a glass of sweet tea. Standing by the refreshment table, she looked around the room, watching others begin to converse and remensce back to the old days.

It had been at least twenty minutes since Dean had parked his SUV in the back of his former high school's parking lot. He'd never exited the vehicle, but instead remained in the driver's seat. Hazel eyes stared forward, but he didn't seem to notice anything going on around him. Though his eyes stared forward unblinkingly, they were empty - which was the complete opposite of his head right now. "Why did I come here? Am I even welcome? What if I panic again in the middle of everything? Is this really worth it? What if I run into someone who causes me to have an... issue? What if she's here...?" The questions raced through his mind, yet they remained unanswered. At this point, he wasn't sure if he would ever get an answer, nor was he sure if he even wanted one.
Dean closed his eyes, allowing a soft sigh to escape his lips. He really had no idea what he was doing here. Hell, what did he even expect to happen?Who did he expect to see? It wasn't as if Dean was the most liked person in school; in fact, it was quite the opposite. With a short fuse and a bad background, most people tried to avoid him unless they were into the same things he was into. But now, he was different. No longer did the man rely on drugs, and no longer did his short fuse go off without reason. Granted, it still went off quite often, but that was mainly due to the PTSD. Other than that? He had straightened his act, and was finally... okay. Still, the possibility remained that if he ran into someone he didn't like back then, they could cause a problem. Or if he ran into one of his old friends, they could still be stoners and try to get him into drugs again. Or if he ran into... her. The last thing Dean needed right now was to have any more problems on his hands than he already did. God knows how much more he could actually take.
It took quite some time and a lot of mental convincing before he was able to open the car door and finally step outside. Black and green skateshoes hit the ground with soft thuds, and as he stood he straightened his clothes out with a few quick pats of his hands. Most people were probably dressed up for this thing, but not Dean. No, he knew that dressing fancy would just make him more uncomfortable, and that was yet another thing he didn't need - to be even more nervous than he already was.
Shifting a bit, he turned to face the building. He could remember the days walking to school, hitching a ride, and overall just coming here for more than just 'learning'. He wasn't one that really took high school serious, of course, but his parents had made him attend. Not that it really mattered in the end, considering he had dropped out, but it still stuck within his brain of how much trouble he'd caused. The army really did straighten him out, there was no doubt about that. But would entering the building, and seeing the place where he had so many different memories trigger something? It was enough to have PTSD from the war, but any serious memory could really trigger a panic attack with him. Regardless, he finally moved forward with a tad bit of hesitation. Why not? He was already here. So, being sure not to slip on snow or ice, Dean made his way inside the building.
Once he set foot inside the door, a blast of warm air hit him, causing a light chill to run down his spine. It felt much better indoors, he had to admit that. As he moved in a bit more, the door clicked shut behind him - which he was quick to turn on his heels and look at it with wide eyes. The sound alone was enough to cause him to panic momentarily, but after a second he sighed and just reached up to rub his face. "Come on, man. You can do this. Just relax... deep breaths..." With a slow exhale, he then turned back around and made his way into the larger area with the rest of the people. There were already faces that he remembered, and others that looked familiar, but the only thing he even thought about was ways to keep himself calm during this reunion. He just had to.

xxxxxDanielle was sitting at home, alone watching the weather channel on one TV and playing Spyro through her PlayStation 2 on another TV. She was in a baggy hoodie and sweat pants at the moment. Her Cell phone started ringing and she looked down at it, pausing the game. There was an email on it reminding her of the high school reunion tonight. She made a small noise and turned off her game after saving it, heading to the bathroom to make sure that she washed up and got ready before she went. There was no way she would go looking like she did. She had already taken a shower once this morning before she went to the bakery. Then a second time earlier to get all of the frosting, flour and any other materials off of her. So she simply washed her face in the sink then patted it dry. There came a sigh from her lips as she changed into a more comfortable outfit. Her style was a mixture of what she loved and what looks good. She put on her fedora and smiled happily as she headed towards the door, checking the news on her way out. xxxxxThere as a cold chill as she walked out the door and felt the wind hit her right in the face. The baker ran to her car, holding onto her fedora for dear life and jumped into the car. She shivered for a moment then shook it off. The car roared to a start and the chill started to reside as she cranked the heat up. Danielle felt a bit nervous while driving to the school and it sort of felt like her stomach had sank. As she pulled into the parking lot, it didn't seem like many people were there yet. This made her even more nervous to go in because she was afraid that the few people that were there would turn to stare at her. She pulled her hat down a bit farther and slowly got out of her car, heading towards the school's front doors. xxxxxAs she reached the front doors, Danielle took a deep breath and pushed them open. She was at least glad to get out of the cold wind and snow. A small thought lingered in her mind and she wondered if everything would be alright with the weather out there. She took her jacket off and shook it on the rugs so that she didn't become soaking wet as the snow melted. She did the same thing with her hat then put them both back on and headed towards the cafeteria area. There were some familiar faces and a few that stuck out from high school. an old couple seemed to be there, but not near each other. And also a blonde named Elena. It was funny that she had noticed Elena, because they didn't really talk much during their high school years, but some of their interests had seemed the same. Perhaps I should go talk to her? Danielle hesitated a bit then decided to go sit at a table and read a comic for bit, waiting for some more people to come in and see if anyone was willing to break the awkwardness of this reunion before she herself had to. Worst case scenario would be having an even more awkward conversation with someone. Location: Cafeteria

☆ ═━┈【 Riley Greyson 】┈━═ ☆ The Nerdy Boy Next Door Riley was nervous about going to his high school reunion. He wasn't sure who would be there. All the bullies who picked on him, all the goth kids who spit at him, all the people his brother had to protect him from would be there. He was glad that Hunter went with him.
"Well, I'd come in with you, but to be honest, reunions kinda bite... I don't know why you agreed to go to this thing in the first place." Hunter mumbled as they drove on.
Riley stared out the window. "I agreed to do it because our dearest sister forced me to go and blackmailed me with a new comic book." He mumbled.
Letting out a short laugh, Hunter shook his head. "Oh man, you are so gullible... you did all this for a comic book? Really?"
"It was the new Batman comic! And don't you judge me, when you know you'd sell your soul for a slutty girl, and don't you deny it." Riley retorted, blinking as he glanced out onto the road, a heavy snowfall coming down.
"It's a sign... a sign that I am definitely not coming in there with you." The twin brother spoke, laughing as they pulled up. "Now get out of here you little rascal, and don't forget your peace offering! Hope the bullies like snickerdoodles!" He laughed cruelly as Riley grabbed the tray.
"Haha, very ******** funny... I'll call when I need you to come and pick me up." he said, snorting as he headed inside, walking in and looking around for the snack table. Setting down the tray of treats, Riley pulled off his suit coat and draped it over a chair, sitting down at a table and looking around for any familiar faces.
"Why did I come here...?" He mumbled, his head suddenly dropping against his arms as he let out a miserable groan.
This was going to be a long night...

xxxxSipping at the sweet tea, Keirra was glad to see that it tasted good and that it wasn't some nasty generic brand. Not as sweet as the McDonalds sweet tea, but it was still good. Looking around the room, she made sure she was out of the way, grinning as she noticed a few staring. If it wasn't due to her looks, it was probably due to the fact that out of everyone here, she was one of the ones who didn't bother to dress up. She stood out with her jeans and college jacket. And it didn't bother her one bit. She wasn't here to impress anyone, she was here to touch ground with some of the ones from her past, granted they were even there. The door opened twice more and she turned to investigate and see who came in, only to find that she didn't know either of them. One was a dark haired female who didn't do too much aside from walking herself over to the assortment of tables and find herself a spot to sit. And then a male came in, doing the same thing as the female before him. "Seems like everyones a robot. How boring.. Come in, sit down! All by yourself!" She giggled, her eyes scanning the room for anything that broke the habit. Her eyes scanned around the room once, and then twice before they landed on a familiar figure. She hadn't seen him in ages and she squinted her eyes, staring right at the one who knew her better than she knew herself. Dean. Looking away, she scanned the room again, hoping she'd had him mistaken for someone else.
But once her eyes landed on him again, she knew exactly who it was. And he didn't look to be too comfortable, at all. Deciding that out of all the people here, she knew him the best, she gave a sigh before walking over. "You were so quick to leave.. Didn't see you coming back." She commented lightly, turning to look at him curiously. He hadn't even graduated, and he'd been gone since before school had let out - so what was he doing back? Then again, she was stunned that not only was he here but she hadn't hesitated to walk up to him. Some things never changed and Keirra turned to direct her full attention to him, her eyes scanning over him. "So.. How've you been? I heard you were back in town but.. I've been hearing that for so long that I wasn't sure what to believe." This little town was known for it's rumors. For some reason, everyone kept telling Keirra he was back and after the first two times, she had stopped caring. It was a lie, a harsh lie. Maybe this was some really ******** up dream? Some really messed up imagination?
Turning to scan over the room, she watched everyone, smiling as someone finally got up from their table to go sit with someone else. If she was remembering right, it was that shy little bookworm, Elena. Out of all the people Keirra had picked on and partied with, Elena was one of the few whom she hadn't bothered to mess with. She was too quiet, and she once had been one of those you were scared would break if you joked too much or if you were a little too rough with them. "I was starting to wonder if we all were just going to sit and look around the room. Glad to see a few of us are making an attempt. Kind of sad how we all grew up together and we're all acting like strangers." She commented, glancing over to Dean. They had been together for such a long time and even things between them felt awkward. Part of her just wanted to walk away, find someone else to talk to but she'd already started talking - it was too late now.

xxxxxAs Danielle sat there and read her comic, she watched as a boy had come in. She thought she remembered him from school, but wasn't quite sure. Perhaps he had been one of the boys that were picked on a lot and she had always wanted to stick up for. He seemed like a nice enough kid. During high school, she had always hated the bullies and those that had picked on others for their own gain. she didn't agree with bashing others for personal pleasure. Everyone had feelings and no matter who it was, you could always break people down and hurt them on the inside with even just one wrong word. He had gone off to sit alone and she went back to looking at her comic. There was a small wonder of whether or not others will join them and the place would get more lively the this. It seemed to be going well so far, but then again, she was alone. As soon as her thoughts stopped, she looked up to see that girl Elena sitting down at a chair next to her. The girl had asked, "What are you reading?" Danielle pulled the comic back from her face and set it down on the table to show the girl, "Oh, it's just an old Journey Into Mystery comic. I like to read the old comics about the superheroes and learn how they came to be. It explains much more than the movies, but the movies they've come out with recently are not that bad, either." She smiled and moved the comic over to the girl. The main characters of the comic seemed to be Loki and Thor. Loki was, after all, her favorite villain. Her shirt she had on under her jacket even had something to do with Loki. She found Tom Hiddleston to be gorgeous. most could say that she was a nerd, a geek or even a freak and it wouldn't bother her that much. It was just what she liked and enjoyed to do. Smiling and listening to Elena yet again, Danielle nodded in agreement. The place may not be the liveliest of places, but at least they were talking and it seemed the old couple had even started to converse yet again. Perhaps they were catching up after a long time not being together? She nodded and looked over to the window. "Well, it does seem to be snowing pretty furiously out there. I wouldn't be surprised if some people stayed home instead of attempting to drive all the way out here," she added. Danielle wondered if the snow would ever subside and she would get a chance to walk out and make a snowball. That would be an interesting thing to do, make a bunch of snowballs and start a huge snowball fight in the cafeteria. She laughed and told Elena her idea, "so what if we started a massive snowball fight in here? think that would lighten people up?" Perhaps they could wait until later to do that, but it would be quite a fun idea. Location: Cafeteria

☆ ═━┈【 Riley Greyson 】┈━═ ☆ The Nerdy Boy Next Door As people started to get settled in, Riley risked a glance out from between his arms, and came face to face with the gaze of the lovely Danielle Lewis.
Then his eyes came to rest on her shirt.
Holy snickerdoodles Batman... a fellow geek...! He thought, swallowing. Oh who am I kidding, even in the basking glow of another nerd I could never muster up more than a 'hi' to someone as cool a her. She was a cool nerd, you were not. He harshly reminded himself.
His eyes soon wandered over to another table where a male and a female sat - and his balls almost shriveled up inside him.
D-Dean Madoc!! That's the son of a b***h who hung me from the flagpole by my underwear in freshman year! His mind yelped. I see some things never change... he's still with that... thing over there, Keirra... His mind echoed, the male scowling into his arms.
"Well, unfortunately for me, I gotta talk to someone here..." He spoke, his hand grazing his pocket, feeling a familiar rectangular bump in his jeans. "Wait... I don't remember packing this." He muttered, pulling out his limited edition Pikachu Gameboy Color, with the Pokémon Special Pikachu Edition cartridge already loaded into it. Flipping it over, there was a note on the back.
'Riley, here's something to keep you entertained. Again, I'm sorry I couldn't be with you, and I know I give you crap for doing this, but to be honest, you're braver than I am when it comes to this stuff. So go get 'em tiger! -Hunter'
Riley almost teared up at the note, the male suddenly glancing to Danielle, his heart pounding. "I wonder... I hope she won't mind airmail..." He spoke, grabbing a piece of paper from his notepad in his pocket and scribbling down a note. Folding it into an airplane, he took careful aim, and let it fly towards her, acting nonchalant as it landed directly in front of her.
'You like Pokémon? Circle Y or N'

Dean lingered by the door, as if it was a comfort knowing he had an exit in case something was to happen. He had no plans to stray too far from it, of course, but could anyone blame him? With how many people in this room probably hated him because of what he was like in high school, there were no doubts that they would take advantage of a situation if he were having a panic attack or something. At least, that's what he thought. Besides, he didn't want anyone knowing what was wrong with him. He'd had enough personal problems in the past that people knew about, and he really didn't want them to know about the newest ones. That was understandable, right? One arm went up, rubbing at the back of his neck as hazel eyes glanced around the area, taking in the different faces that were present. Some he recognized, some he had no idea who they were, but regardless, almost all of them that he did recognize were people that he really didn't want to see or talk to. It wasn't as if they had anything nice to say to him, anyway.
The sound of a familiar voice struck his ears, sending a light shiver down his spine. He almost seemed to freeze, keeping his eyes forward though he knew the girl was standing beside him. A part of him didn't even want to look at her, as what good would it do? Bring back memories that he didn't ever want to think about? Make him remember how hard it was to be in the army, knowing he left her back home? Or about how the last letter he ever received from her was a break-up letter, just before he was taken prisoner? Or about how many times he wanted to die because she was the only good thing he'd had in his life since he got clean? Dean swallowed hard. He didn't want to look at her, and every fiber in his body told him to just walk away - but instead, he slowly diverted his eyes into her direction, locking gazes with her. "Yeah," he muttered lightly, glancing away momentarily before reverting his eyes back to her.
How was he? How was he doing? The question seemed to be an ice breaker almost, though Dean was unsure if he really wanted to answer it. Not many people would want to hear the problems he was going through. Besides, you couldn't really just casually admit the issues he had. "Oh, been pretty shitty. I have PTSD now, I have at least five panic attacks every day, I'm heavily medicated for other mental disorders, and I'm seeing a therapist three times a week. But nevermind that, that's just the petty stuff. What about you?" Yeah, that wasn't going to happen. Dean knew just how bad this conversation could go, and he wasn't really going to let it turn to s**t. Besides, it's not like she would even want to hear about the issues anyway. "I've been... okay. I moved back here a few months ago, still trying to settle in." Oh, he was only praying that she didn't ask about the army. "What about you? How've you been?" he countered, clearing his throat lightly as his hands went into his pockets.
As Keirra's eyes looked around the room, so did Dean's. He took notice of everyone again, though his gaze settled on some kid he remembered picking on just because he was having a bad day. Riley. Honestly, Dean couldn't really remember what he did to half the people he got into it with, but he knew that he'd done some horrible s**t. Most of them would probably kill him in his sleep if they had the chance. Hell, could he really blame them? "Well, it's been a long time since people have seen each other," he added with a shrug of the shoulders. "Things get... awkward." There was no doubt that their attempt at conversing was quite awkward, as well. With a moment of silence, Dean cleared his throat lightly before shuffling his stance some. "So... uhm. What do you do for a living now?"
ooc If it's not too much to ask, Radio, could you please use a darker blue for Elena? I have problems seeing light colors u.u

xxxxxWhile waiting for Elena to respond, Danielle had noticed a glimpse of something out of the corner of her eye. She turned just as a paper had fallen on the table in front of her. Looking around to try and figure out where the note had come from, she noticed Riley seemed a little off at that moment. She shrugged and figured he had wrote it and sent it over. Air mail. What a nice surprise during a school reunion. Something like this had reminded her of being in high school again. All of the embarrassing things that happened in high school all flooded back to her. There was a time when she had liked a boy and he seemed like a pretty nice guy. She attempted to tell him she liked him, but slipped and dropped all of her stuff on the ground. There was a note in her book s that had the boys name written on it because it was between a friend and her about how she had liked him. He helped her gather her things, but noticed she had dropped the note and secretly took it. And then on top of that, he had read it in his next class, the teacher grabbed a hold of it and read it to the class. Needless to say, they had not ended up together, even though, if the circumstances would have been different, they probably would have ended up working out rather than just dropping it and letting others ruin their feelings. Opening the note she read: 'You like Pokémon? Circle Y or N' This made Danielle chuckle a bit. Shaking her head a bit, she grabbed her purse and took out a bright purple pen. thinking about it and making it seem like it would be a tough question for her, Danielle stared down at the note and twirled her pen a little bit. She made a few scribble on the note and shook her head. It was such a foolish question and she neatly folded the paper back up then sent it flying back across the room. When Riley would open it, he would see a note that said: Location: Cafeteria; With: Elena

☆ ═━┈【 Riley Greyson 】┈━═ ☆ The Nerdy Boy Next Door As the paper landed in front of him again, Riley picked it up, unfolding it and looking to the answer. Letting a smile spring forth as he read it, he let his eyes lock onto her again, the male's confidence slowly coming forth as he held up his Gameboy for her to see. Standing and slowly making his way over, he sat down beside her and smiled lightly.
"So... I herd u like mudkipz?" He joked, letting out a light laugh. "Sorry, sorry, that was in bad taste." He spoke, tilting his head to her. "It's... it's really good to see you again, Dani, Elena..." He spoke, letting out a nervous chuckle. "Well, it's good to know we're the big dogs now, no longer picked on by buttmunchers or bitchcakes. And certainly no longer hung by our underwear on the flagpole..." He mumbled, cringing at the faint memories of his tortured adolescence.
"But aside from wedgies and swirlies, how have your lives been?" He asked, glancing to Elena and Danielle, the male lightly fiddling with the Gameboy in his hands. His stomach suddenly growled as he awaited their answer, his hands suddenly leaving the Gameboy and going to his stomach. "Ooh... I knew I should have eaten more than just ramen... Hunter was right, I am a clueless moron when it comes to eating right." He mumbled, glancing to the snack table and raising a curious brow back to the two girls.
"Hold your thoughts, I'm gonna go snag something from the snack table. You girls want anything?" He asked politely, standing and leaving the Gameboy on the table, knowing Danielle would either be curious about his pokedex stats, or just really want to play it.

xxxxEven as he hadn't replied, she was still tempted to turn and run, pretend that she needed to use the bathroom really bad or something. But that was something that would be beyond rude and even if Keirra wasn't the best person in the world, walking away from someone in such a manner? There was no excuse. No matter how bad she felt or just how awkward it was. As far as she knew, maybe this was the normal Dean though she truly didn't think it was. After all, so many people whom came home often had PTSD when they came back and sometimes, such things changed them completely. Though she didn't blame them at all, coming home from a war to normal life was probably beyond confusing and even scary. "Yeah? Hm. The Dean I knew isn't.. so.. One worded." She mused, staring at Dean curiously. What was with him? Sure, he never explained things in such big sentences but this? This wasn't normal, this wasn't the male she knew. Had she done something terrible in leaving him? Him being gone all the time and her worrying constantly had been too much to bear. Would it consolate him if she told him that no one else amounted to what she had once had with him? Would it make things better?
Shaking the thoughts away, she nodded as he spoke up, her eyes on him momentarily before she gave a small sigh as he asked a question. "Good I suppose. Bored, the shop has been slow as of late. But what I do for a living now? I own a little bakery. Doesn't sound like me at all but it's true." She mused, debating on whether or not to ask the same question. "What've you been into since you came back? Have you found a place to work yet?" She asked, just being curious. Maybe he'd need some extra time to settle in? She really wasn't sure but he wasn't being himself. Not so loud or playful, hell, here he seemed timid. As if any little thing would make his world fall apart. "I wonder if any others are coming.. They always hold this thing when we have bad weather. I think it's their way of trying to ward us all away. They don't want us back after all the hell we caused." Keirra mused, grinning up at him. This was supposed to be a reunion party but here, it was so boring. There had to be something better to do.
"You have any ideas to get this party going? I don't think they have any alcohol but someone has got to have some good music. If I wanted to freeze my a** off I'd go out to my car and grab a few cds but that snow is coming down hard. But if it's going to be like this all night, I'm considering taking my chances in this little supposed to be blizzard." She spoke up, focusing her attention on him momentarily before looking around the room. It was true, all they were doing was talking and sure, she didn't mind standing around and talking but eventually it got boring. "In all honesty, I'd rather be home feeding Mazie rice balls at this point.. she's my slow loris. Wanna see?" Keirra questioned, pulling out her phone and flipping through it to find a picture of the adorable little critter . But if Dean knew Keirra at all, he'd realize he didn't have a choice, she was showing him said picture whether he wanted to see it or not and she held her phone out to him, watching him curiously. 'Maybe now that he's back.. We can pick up from where we left off? Would he want to? Is he still into me? Did he find someone else? Is he still the same as before? Obviously not.. But he couldn't have changed too much..' Her thoughts were all over the place and she shook them away, refusing to think more into it. She wasn't sure if they could ever pick up the pieces, after all, she hadn't waited. She had practically already ruined her chances with him. Who would want someone back? Especially after that.
