((Thanks! Hope I can make him a good one))
"Sounds like a great idea, Doctor. Arell, just TRY to behave yourself . . . you're in there for your OWN good as good as ours." Dundee said as C.J. looked at Dundee slightly calmer, but much more deranged.
"Then how'd I get in here!? Well, aside from the whole talking to the writers thing." he asked, flipping a coin.
"Drunkenly attacking a guy with a CHAINSAW shouting 'VANDAL SAVAGE, PREPARE TO DIE' would probably have some clue as to why you're in there." Dundee said, rolling his eyes. Sure, he was compassionate and promoted non-violence, but those two idiots were causing more trouble than the BAD GUYS. When they went off to the office though, C.J. went from upset to casual.
"Okay, 'Rell. Let's go lizard, get our s**t back and get outta here." C.J. said, working to get out of the handcuffs as Arell smirked.
"You read my min', che'. Get on my back, we'll get outta heah in no-time." Arell growled, getting ready.
Meanwhile, Dundee followed Dr. Gray to her office.

Dr Gray nodded, then led the Blue Lantern down the hall and through the doors on the other end. Gossamer was the only other patient in her cell down that area, and she didn't pay them much attention.
One of the guards moved down the hall, stopping in front of the metal and bulletproof glass that served as the cells for each patient. Namely Arell and CJ. He looked at the two, shook his head, then motioned towards a small sticker near the top of the cell across from them. It was a small sticker, but gave a little warning that defensive measures would be activated should the walls start to become damaged, or the alarm goes off. "Just cool it till the doc can come back to talk to ya. Otherwise ya have your pick of gas and electricity. Personally I'd relax while ya can."

"And you kiss your mother with that mouth?" C.J. looked at the sticker, reading it and then laughing.
"Pssh, I'm SO scared, copper." Arell said sarcastically. They only brought ONE guy! They could make a REAL spectacle of that jackass when Dun' and Dr. Grey got back! Then it looked like smooth sailing out.
"No wonder the Joker has it easy gettin' outta here!"
C.J., this is ARKHAM. Joker's smart, Arell has brawn, and all you got is the MOUTH.
"And that's a PROBLEM? Besides, that means Oncaro, Rosie, CBJ and the others get somethin' to laugh at WHEN we bust out."
Just don't do it NOW . . . besides, Rosie probably has a big plan for this story. Y'all are guests! Wouldn't be polite if we messed up the storyline with your escape so soon. Now JOKER on the other hand, he's a regular.
"Yeah, and this joint has a revolving door."
Now don't be like that, have fun with this! You and Arell are living on government spendin'!
"Seriously?!?"
Fo' shizzle my nizzle.
"SWEET! I gotta tell the Killer Croc expy this, hold the phone!"
C.J. jumped down off that fourth wall so fast it was like he was on fire. Running over and pulling the big dude's ear down to his level (Arell being 6' 11" and C.J. being a 5'11" dude, we can do stuff like this) with a call of "Time out! Away team takes a huddle." and smirked.
"'Rell, new plan. We don't need to escape, we can get these punks to THROW US out! They already pay considerable to keep Gossy, Joker and the rest in here, we can live on Government cheese until we're able to blow this pop stand! Milk this damn thing DRY! Got me?" C.J. whispered as Arell nodded. C.J. slapped the big fellow on the back. "Follow my lead, big guy." C.J. said and stepped back.
"Well, I reckon you won't have to worry about us, ya big palooka. We ain't goin' nowheres, nor are we gonna . . . now make yerself useful and get us some coffee and cheeseburgers, eh my good man?" Benoit asked, walking back to his bunk and chilling out, like what he saw out of a W.C. Fields movie.
Arell tried to follow suit. "Yeah! An' fries on' de side fer me, porky! Gimme my wallet back an' I'll leave ya a good tip on top of it!" Arell said, walking over with the same kind of air as C.J., but sat down on the Marylander by mistake!
"You big oaf GET OFF ME!" C.J. responded and pushed Arell off . . . undaunted, he went up to the upper bunk and chilled up there.
Meanwhile, Dundee followed the doctor down the hall, his pace quickened as he passed Gossamer's cell. Just because he was a Lantern now didn't mean he wasn't scared as hell of her. Oh, WHY did I bother to put that stupid ring on?! Hope she stays in there niiiice and snug as a bug! he thought until they got passed the doors and over to her office. He had to keep his posture going about this.

The gaurd just grunted a bit in response to the two men, then moved back down the hallway towards the door. Leaving the two men and Joker to themselves for a few moments.
They weren't alone for long though. The doors to the end of the hall opened once again, and a few sets of footsteps scuffed across the hard floor. Two more guards came back into the men's line of sight, along with a woman in a cream colored jumpsuit. Her hair was long, brown, and looked as though it hadn't been brushed in quite a while. Despite her appearance, she walked with an air of dignity about her. Almost as though she were a queen being led down the hall by servants.
The... more than obvious scowl on her face made it evident that she was fully aware that she was not to be living like royalty here. Her frown only deepened when the guards stopped and opened her door, giving her a chance to see the... neighbors she'd be seeing for heaven knows how long. Two men sitting in one cell. A man with pale skin and green hair sitting in another. And a woman with green skin and red hair sitting in another cell. The other cells around her, she figured she wouldn't be able to see once she was in the small room. Not that it would matter... most of the cells towards the door and next to her's were empty.
"Alright, in you go girl." the large man said.
"Allyana Constantine..." the woman corrected.
"Right. Think you also tacked "Goddess" onto it when they first caught you." the guard said.
The woman frowned heavily, then turned and walked over to a corner of her new room to ignore the two men.
The two men grinned a bit, then locked her up and turned to head out of the hallway.
==================================
Doctor Gray sighed once she was in the safety of her office, and went straight to her desk. "Please, have a seat." she said, motioning offhandedly towards a chair as she sat down herself. Immediately, she began clacking at the keyboard of her computer. She opened what she could find on file for the two new arrivals, as well as a schedule of the other psychiatrists day. She was really hopping that someone was available. But with all of the new arrivals that were making it to the list..... she had this sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach that everyone was going to be jumping at the chance to study someone other than the Joker.
"So... will you please explain why those two men are here? I heard you say something about one of them going after a man with a chainsaw?"

"Well well, looks like we got new blood 'round here!" C.J. said, pointing his thumb to the arrival of the "Goddess" . . . well well, this had become interesting at least!
"Well, well, dis is a nice change in thangs. Ain't had a decent time since Crys' an I broke up!" Arell growled, sucking on a toothpick and waiting for the doctor to come back. It was less of two psychos and more two old friends talking. To be honest, it didn't look like they were very crazy now! "Say, I wonder if'n dem two boneheads'll gimme my lighter back." he thought aloud
Dundee sat down and watched her type away. "Well, to make long story a might short, the guys have great intentions. I've ridden with 'em both all over before becoming a lantern, doc." he said, heaving a sigh before thinking about his task at hand. "Well, the boys made one hell of a fight fer justice . . . but this trouble seemed to start shortly after Arell's girlfriend left him after the mother of all gunfights in the I.O. base. Arell started drinkin' hard. Liquor got t' him. Spent days out . . . drinkin' and fightin'. 'Course, that was normal before, but . . ." he paused and looked at Dr. Gray, holding back from tearing up.
"His record oughta be shown. He was at the final assault on IO, took out the Razolli family from the entire East Coast . . . he done a lot, but they went crazy. Both of 'em. Arell shot several gangsters in cold blood, an' that's in the human form. As for Benoit . . ." he paused, in contemplative thought.
"Benoit's always been crazy, Doc. See it there in his records. Claimed he could talk to a higher-up 'thority. 'Writers' he calls 'em. He attacked Vandal Savage with a chainsaw, having rescued someone who was . . . a former girlfriend of his in a batmobile he borrowed. Havin' rode himself out, he caused more danger to society than most bad guys coulda' in my whole life! We just need to hold onto 'em until they can finally learn to be the potential heroes they can be." he said. His Mississippi accent coming out, having worked down his drawl to be better understood as a Lantern.

Allyana turned her attention back to the glass wall just long enough to regard the two men. "It's my understanding that such things are a privilege for good behavior." she said, then turned her attention to her own cell. "Even so... I don't believe an object like that would be allowed until you are released." She either hadn't heard the remarks towards her, or was flat out ignoring that they had been said.
======================
"Well, that's one of the things we're here to do." Doctor Gray replied, her eyes still fixated on her computer screen. "Find out what the root of the problem is, work on behavioral habits, and reform patients. As long as they are willing to make an effort to change, we should have them back into civilization within a decent amount of time." she said, then sighed and leaned back in her chair. "If they are like most of our patients, however... it could be a rather long journey. Several visits to Arkham. It sounds as though the main reason your friends are here are because of some sort of relationship or another though, correct?" She asked, glancing back up at him. "Would you know where we could find or contact Arell's former girlfriend, or woman Benoit attacked Vandal Savage over? It may help to at least talk to the two women. Benoit's...other problem... may be a little trickier to handle. We can at least try to resolve those problems as a start, and then work on the violence and mental state your friends seem to be prone to."
Then something flashed on her screen, and Gray turned her attention back to the monitor. She paused for a beat... then frowned deeply.
Of course... Mattis was going to be working on two of the new patients. Someone had just taken up the other woman's case. Three were taking a vacation. And the only other available doctor was specifically NOT seeing a small list of patients. One of which was Joker.
....for the next few days... she or Doctor Mattis were the only ones available to see Joker. Mattis was working on a new Doctor, so he probably wouldn't be willing to see the Joker.
".... wonderful." Gray half growled.

After a GCPD truck pulls up to the dock for semi-truck trailers, several techs take position to receive the latest arrival to Arkham. The track rear door opens just after the dock door lifts. A dozen of Gotham's finest takes place in the receiving dock cocking their shotguns. Professional stares greet the technicians operating a remote controlled forklift that enters the GCPD truck.
A few moments later, the forklift strains, as it backs up with yellow lights and a beeping alert for the machine backing up. The forklift pulls a large machine that has many electrical lights and wires with the emblem 'LexCorp' emblazoned on the side. A single figure is strapped into the machine with her arms and legs sprawled out forming an 'X'.
That figure is that of a woman clearly in her twenties wearing one of Arkham's orange jumpsuits complete with a leather mouth restraint mask fully covering the woman's mouth, chin, and nose. Visible above the mask is the almost auburn hair with a single white stripe running the center from front to back. Green eyes glared angrily at the officers standing guard over the woman.
One of the Arkham guards approaches the detective in charge, motioning toward the woman prisoner, "What the hell is this?"
The weathered detective turned toward the muscular black guard and handed him the paperwork, "Your problem now. This woman was apparently duking it out with Bane downtown. She seems to be at least part Kryptonian. The girl was tossin cars like they were nothin. We had to use ten tazers to knock her out. The reason you guys are gettin her is that she's got multiple personalities -- as we found out the hard way.
"Whatever you do, don't underestimate this chick. She. Will. End. You. About eight on my men are in the hospital right now, and she flattened a cabbie."
An angry grimace formed on Rogue's face. The Mississippi native couldn't shout any denials, but her thought screamed at the officers even though there was no way they could hear her thoughts, Dat wasn't meh! Dat was dat overgrown luchador sci-fi monster on steroids!!!

"Think they could at least let him smoke? He gets kinda testy without o-!" C.J. replied when Arell looked up and tapped C.J. on the head.
"Well, well, looks like we got another new neighbor, che'! Whaddaya say we say hi an' welcome her t' de slammer?" Arell asked as C.J. smirked, getting up outta bed. Say, y'know who that is?
"Yup! Come t' think of it, writer, I think her and the big guy'd do well together."
Well, why not?
C.J. smiled and leaned on the bars to his cell when they wheeled Rouge past to HER cell. "Welcome to the neighborhood!" he said before turning back to Arell. "Not much of a talker." he said before chillin' out.
Meanwhile, in the office, Dundee nodded. "Well, I trust y'all can handle them. They're nuttier than fruitcakes right now, but they got their hearts in the right place. I may be able to track 'em down. May need a day or two to convince 'em." Dun' said before Dr. Gray growled a little.
Aaaaaaaand now I'm worried again, but at least my head isn't stuck in a sink! he thought.

“I'm sure that they'll allow a smoke during a recess of some kind.” Allyana replied. She didn't see the new prisoner, nor did she care to really. The walls of every cell were made of metal, cement, and unbreakable glass. Save for one or two cells that seemed as normal as any other jail... probably to only hold those who were less of a threat. Makes sense... saves on cost just a bit. To not have every cell this expensive with the electrified walls and gas emitting vents. Seemed like a bit of overkill to her, but with the kind of people that were held here, couldn't take any chances she supposed.
Allyana turned her attention towards what would be her bed for the foreseeable future, and sat down.
========================================
“If you could find them, it would help us greatly.” Doctor Gray said, sighing a bit as she leaned away from her computer to rub her temples. She stretched her arm out and flipped a few keys on her keyboard. A moment later her printer began clunking and whirring. “I would at least like to speak to them to learn more about their relationships with your friends. As well as the falling out and other problems they might have had.”
As soon as her files were done printing out, Gray leaned over and added the papers to her clipboard. “Is there any more information you can give me on your two friends?” She asked, collecting more of her papers to get ready to go back out again. “Anything you can tell me about what they are like? What might anger them or set them off, any dangerous traits that might not be on record for them?” she asked, then stood from her seat. “Any bit of information you have would be helpful. For their treatment as well as the well being of our staff. I'll try to see to it that I am in charge of them until we can at least get more of this figured out.”
Then she frowned a bit and looked to the door. “Try to anyway... seems there's no one available to see the Joker other than myself for today. And it's best to not wait about for someone to become available with him. I'll have a little conversation with your friends, then I'll have to see to him.”

As things began to quiet down, all that could be heard in the far reaches of the Joker's cell were the words of the boys and the goddess, and the occasional murmurings of the 'Thirty days hath September' rhyme from Julian Gregory Day, also known as Calendar Man, echoing from down the wing. Joker wasn't paying any of it attention, though, as he was so engrossed in his thoughts.
If only he could remember where he'd heard that voice before. The only person he could place it with was dead, so it couldn't possibly be her...
...Or could it?

File: Black Sapphire ... File 01
Meanwhile Doctor Mattis led the younger Doctor down the hall and to one of the “rooms”. He unlocked and opened the door, leading the younger man in behind him. Inside the room as a table with two chairs. One chair was empty. In the other, on the other side of the table, sat a woman in a bright orange jumpsuit. Her head was tilted down towards the table, and her hair was fallen over her face, hiding it from the two men. Her hands and feet were cuffed together to keep herself attached to the chair, and to keep the two doctors safe. Just in case she lashed out...
“Good evening.” Doctor Mattis said as he moved the chair back and took a seat. The woman sitting across from him said nothing. She simply sat there with her head down towards the table, her hair curtaining her face.
“Your doctor is out today, so we are going to be filling in for him. I am Doctor Mattis, and this is Doctor Stevens.” he continued, motioning towards himself and the younger man standing behind him. Still nothing from the woman.
“The patient we were supposed to meet with today seems to have gotten herself into a bit of trouble. I don't think we'll be able to visit with her face to face for a while. So we might be tending to you for a few days.” Mattis continued with a smile, then paused for some sort of response. Again, there wasn't even a budge from the woman. Mattis smirked slightly, then drew out his clip board to scroll through it.
“You've only been here for a day or two, haven't you? I understand that it can be difficult to adjust to living here... but as long as you're cooperative, we try to make things as comfortable as possible.”
Again, no response.
“I see here that you haven't said a word since they brought you to Arkham. Yet there is nothing stating that you are unable to speak. Tell me, why have you been so quiet? There is really no need to be. And I'm sure that if you talk to us at least a little, we can help you be released from Arkham.”
Not a budge. Nothing.
“...we can start with just small things if you'd like. Small talk, little yes or no questions, a simple nod or shake of the head even if you'd prefer. Then if you're comfortable enough, we can have longer conversations. How about that?”
Silence.
Mattis looked at her for a moment longer, then smiled and shook his head. “Well, I just wanted to introduce myself. Say hello. I'll let you get back to your cell for a while, and I'll visit you again later tonight to check up on you.” With that, the older doctor stood to move out of the room. They had one or two more patients to see to before-
“Only a day or two....” a voice quietly spoke from beneath the curtain of hair.
Mattis stopped, then turned and looked back at the woman. “Yes. From what your report says, you've only been here for a day or too Miss..... Blackstone?”
There was another silent pause, the wall of hair finally parted as the woman lifted her head. She looked... tired. As though she hadn't slept the entire time she had been in Arkham. More noticeable than that was the long, jagged looking scar that ran from the far corner of her jaw, across her cheek, and nearly up to the corner where her eye met the side of her nose. A less noticeable scar sat curled on the opposite side of her face near the edge of her lips. Curling a pink line downward like a small frown on one side of her face.
“It should still be black...” she said quietly, still not quite looking at them.
“What's that?” Mattis asked.
“My hair... it should still be black.” she explained. “Didn't wash it... the dye should still be in it if it's only been a few days...”
Mattis blinked, checked his clipboard, then smiled and sat back down. “Did you dye your hair black?” he asked.
“Kind of...” she replied. “Special kind of dye. Washes out. Didn't wash my hair though...”
“Miss Blackstone, your hair wasn't dyed when you were brought to Arkham.” Mattis informed her. “It was brown, just as it is now.
The woman just paused for a long moment in thought.
“When did you dye your hair?” he asked.
“I.... I don't remem- … it should still be...” she began, then trailed off in thought.
“Do you not remember when you dyed your hair last?” he asked.
The woman was quiet again, but her expression became rather telling. Her brow was furrowed in thought, as though she was stuck on the notion that her hair should still be black. Then it softened, then turned puzzled. “I.... I don't know...” she finally admitted.
Mattis smiled gently. “Well, why don't we try to figure that out. What's the last thing you remember before coming to Arkham?” he asked.
“I was...” she began, then grew silent in thought again. Her puzzled expression only grew. “I... I don't... I-I don't understand...”
“Is something wrong?” Mattis asked.
“I...” she began, then sighed deeply and shook her head. “I don't know... it's all mixed up. I don't even remember how I got here.”
“Well, why don't I tell you whats on your file, and we can try to piece it together from there.” Mattis offered.
“....alright.” the woman replied.
Mattis flipped through the first few papers on his clipboard, then began reading off some of the main bits that would be helpful. “When the police arrested you, they had charged you with the murder of several crime lords, several business men, jewelers, government officials, and law officials. All the identity of “Black Sapphire”. Officers from New York City identified you as Misty Blackstone, the wife of Richard Blackstone. It's stated that you denied any involvement with Mister Blackstone when you were arrested, but you would not deny that you were guilty of the murder charges. Do you remember any of this?” Mattis asked.
At this point, the woman was frowning deeply. “No... I don't remember any of that.” she said, then sighed deeply. “But... I can't argue that it isn't true.”
Mattis arched an eyebrow at her. “Is that so? How can you be sure that it is true if you can't remember?”
“... because I usually have to do things like...” she began, then sighed and shook her head. “Another day maybe. What else does it say? My hair was brown when they arrested me?”
“Yes.” Mattis replied, looking back at the papers. “Your hair was not dyed. You claimed no involvement with Richard Blackstone, yet you answered when being referred to as Miss Blackstone. Rather than being sent to jail, you were brought to Arkham because of... a psychological reaction you had while in jail after your capture. A severe night terror. It seems you have not slept since you've been brought here either.”
“I... I don't remember any of that. I know I haven't been able to sleep, but...”
“There's notes here that say to keep you in a fairly well-lit area. The darkness of your cell had apparently helped to cause your panic.”
“And that's why I'm here?” the woman asked. “Because I had a nightmare and now I'm afraid of the dark?”
“Well, that... along with a few things you said while in your state of panic, and the fact that you were a fairly well-loved hero before you changed your identity to the Black Sapphire” Mattis replied.
And with that, Mattis could tell that the woman was going to close herself off. Her expression suddenly became very neutral, and her posture tightened. The last bit was obviously not something she wanted to talk about. And with all the progress he had just made, Mattis didn't want her to shut down conversation completely. “But... that's a topic for another day. You are here, because we want to help you. We don't feel that your situation would improve in a simple jail cell. We can help you, and we want to help you. It may take some time, but we'll get things sorted out little by little. And I think you have enough to think about for tonight.” he said as he stood from the chair. “Perhaps you'll be able to remember more as you think about it. I look forward to speaking with you again, Miss Blackstone?”
The woman stared at him for a moment, then frowned and glanced away. Whatever the reason, she didn't seem to want to be called that, but she wasn't giving out an alternative title either.

"If that's who I THINK it is, then I musta attacked Savage for somebody ELSE!!"
I think you did . . . unless this was some funky universe-hopping jive like we did LAST time.
"You think?"
Pretty sure! Although that doctor DOES kinda look familiar. The one talking to Dun' right now?
"Oh s**t, you're right! Jeez, this is getting weird. I know her from somewhere . . . dammit, Benoit THINK!" *hits head*
Dude, that's not gonna help.
"No s**t . . . my head hurts now."
*Facepalm*
Dundee nodded understandingly. "I'll track 'em down for you. As for the guys, they're pretty laidback . . . watch out for the big guy though, without his smokes, he gets mean . . . seriously, he's killed a guy for his lucky strikes." Dundee said, thinking. "C.J.'s liable to start flirting or crack a joke. Haven't seen him do a whole lot though . . . except for the chainsaw thing, which . . . which I gotta admit, him snapping like that was pretty cool to watch . . . kinda like Charlie Bronson!" he said, in a strange out-of-lantern moment . . . after all, Dun' was still Dun'.
When she mentioned the Joker, he smirked. "Sounds good, Doc. I'll try to flag down some of the others for you. Is there anything else you need from me?" he asked.

Doctor Gray smiled gently at him. "No, I believe you've helped quite a bit. I'll make sure your friend gets at least one smoke break a day to try and keep his nerves down. And if you can find the women, that will be helpful." she replied. Then she looked to the door and sighed. "Well, I should see to your friends and have a talk with them. See to Joker as well. Thank you, Lantern." she said, then walked towards the door and opened it to let Dundee out. "It feels as though it's going to be the start of a very busy few months." she said to herself with a grin.
Once he was out of the room, she continued down the hall. Back towards the prison cells to retrieve her patients for the night. She walked through the large doors, then took a quick glance at the other patients as she passed by their glass cells.
Gossamer was... surprisingly... staggering her way back onto her feet. Gray didn't know that Doctor Mattis had given Gossamer a drug that should have kept her paralyzed for another half an hour, but she could tell that the woman had been drugged recently. And... she did not look happy. The only thing Doctor Gray could compare the look in Gossamers eyes to was the murderous glare she'd seen Poison Ivy give a guard that had confenscated her potted plant and snapped it in half in front of the her. This... actually might have been a level or two above that. Gossamer looked as though she was fully intent on killing anyone she thought was in her way.
Satisfied that the walls of the cell would still hold her, Gray made a mental note to see to Gossamer before she left with the others. With that, she continued forward until she reached the set of cells she needed. The... "Goddess" sat in one cell, minding her own business. CJ and Arell were in another... ugh, Joker was in another cell. Thankfully it looked as though he were lost in thought. And... what was that? Another patient coming through the far, far hallway? Good heavens what was she strapped into?
Gray stared for another moment, then blinked and shook her head. Didn't matter... not her problem. Not right now anyway. She was NOT in charge of the entire blasted hall. Where were the other doctors at?
"Alright, men..." Gray said, addressing Arell and CJ. "Now that all of that is settled, I can see you both to have a little talk. Unfortunately, regulations say I have to speak with you both individually. I can move you both into the waiting rooms if you'd like... that way you won't be waiting out here by yourself." she said, then looked to Arell. "I can place you in the rooms next to each other, so you won't be very far appart. And I can put you in one of the rooms where they allow you to smoke. A small, open window, just enough for the smoke to pass outside. There is no smoking in your cells, or within the building. But I should be able to pull some strings so that you can have at least one smoking break a day. Perhaps during sessions in the same room with the window."
Then she turned and looked to Joker's cell. "I'll come back for you once I'm done visiting with the two of them. If you are... really needing to speak with me, I can have the guards escort you down to one of your waiting cells. Then I can come right over to your room to speak with you." she said.

Dundee smiled and walked out. "Anytime, Doc . . . and please. Call me Dun' . . . I'm still getting used to this whole Lantern thing." he said before walking out, off to find the people they could vouch for. He could hear her talking to the guys as he went the other way.
C.J. listened to Dr. Gray, despite seemingly just looking up at the bottom of the upper bunk. "Fair enough. 'Rell, you wanna go first big guy? Been a while since ya had a decent smoke break, hombre." C.J. asked, resting a little bit. For some odd reason, he had sort of . . . taken his time to reflect, a stark contrast from fighting like hell before.
Arell slid off the top bunk and down to the floor. His big feet hit the ground, but C.J. almost expected to hear the loud CLOMP of the big Cajun's boots hitting the ground . . . unfortunately the dirty rats that ran the joint had the audacity of more or less robbing them blind, from the money they had to the shirts off their own backs. It was there that Arell looked back at C.J.
"Naw che', dey picked you up foist, seems fair you oughta say yer bit . . . thanks fer th' smoke breaks, doc." Arell growled as C.J. slunk to his feet. The usually bounding sorta guy seemed a bit slower now.
"Alrighty then. After you, doc." C.J. said . . . he could see the memories being played back in his head . . .

If Dr. Gray were to look at Joker's face, she'd see a great deal of confusion written on it, mixed with a little worry. He caught just enough of what she said to understand that he was getting an appointment, and said to her, "Yeah, okay, doc, bring on the guardies." He was too focused on his problem to give much of anything else his full attention.
