I personally love Fantasy, Romance, and Magic. Or anything that has to do with Dragons. The Inheritance Trilogy is best.

Sci-fi and fantasy, though with the sci-fi I am more into the military science fiction.

Romantic fantasy, epecially. Then, humor, of course. But with romance. Pretty much anything with romance, but not nessarily romance itself.

It used to be fantasy. Then, one day, I had a revelation: It's all J.R.R. Tolkiens ideas, just chewed up, swallowed, shat out, and put in a blender with other bull to lure in nieve readers that think they'll be getting something new. The ONLY person that I've ever seen make a fantasy novel in a damn near completely original way is Stephen King and the Dark Tower series.
So nowadays I'm into realistic fiction.

Doesn't really matter for me
Anything really. I have developed a bit of interest for romance but mystery is sort of the stuff I generally read. I do read some history (contrary to some people's beliefs stare ) but not much...

I pretty much go for all sorts of genres. Lately however, I've been reading more historical fiction, mainly the series "A Dream of Eagles" by Jack Whyte. Non-fiction I'm not too crazy about and horror, well, as long as it's not too much, I can appreciate it. The one "genre" that I don't touch however is chick-lit. Maybe it's because I've been exposed to the badly-written kind but the memory stays with me...
I mainly do fantasy and sci-fi but then again, those are like two sides of the same coin. It's a little odd to like one and not the other. I can live without comedy but I do enjoy a good chuckle. Romance has to be an element but a secondary one. I'm not sure about other people but if it's well written, I like unhappy endings... And I've recently discovered the wonders of religious symbolism. That could be owing to the fact that I have a minister for a father.
