He could tell that she was on the verge of defeat. That made him a little cocky. Instead of hitting her with fire, he walked over and simply kicked her in the side.

She cried out, mostly too exhausted to do much of anything, let alone defend herself. She summoned up a piece of paper then sharpened it to a blade, then had it stab into his leg.

The last kick was too much, she didn't have the energy to continue any longer. She ended up passing out shortly after.

Before any more harm can be done, Avon arrives on the scene and picks up Altair, then carries her back to Lilianna's infirmary for the remainder of the battles.
