When they arrived to Astra's room, he was surprised at how it was. It didn't look anything like Riley's. In fact, it was kind of like a small forest within the dorms. Then again, his own room was almost as if it was within a volcano. He stepped in and focused on the cauldron in the center. The faerie must like cooking things up in that thing. "Wow.."The words she said had him realize one thing that hadn't dawned on him before. Family. Did.... he have one? If so, how big was it? What were they like? He felt a sort of sinking sensation within him as he thought about this some more. It was something he was going to need to ask Riley. Maybe she knew.

It was interesting to see just how impressed Jericho was with her forest sanctuary, not expecting the Red dragon to really care for so much green foliage. It made her swell with pride to see just how surprised he was. The fae soon became focused on the present task as she flew around the room collecting the necessary ingredients. The first one being a bucket, as she landed next to a small stream. (the water seemed to come from a faucet that was hidden in some leaves, and disappeared down a drain nearby. Amityville sure went to lengths to home some students...) Dipping the bucket into the flowing water, she then walked back to the cauldron and tipped the contents in. After a few repeated attempts, the black pot was filled, and she quickly put some logs underneath for fuel, also checking to make sure no vines or leaves where nearby "Okay! Now all I need is to light the fire..." the fae said while taking two stones of a nearby table, and began clicking them together. Yup, Astra lit her fires caveman style. Or tried to, as the logs clearly did not want to catch fire. It was then she turned to Jericho, looking more at his feet then his face and asked in a very quite voice. " Ummm...Could you light the logs for me please?

Jericho stood by, watching Astra get to work with the stew, first fetching some water. Though, soon came time to start up the fire. She had an interesting way of igniting the logs at the base of the cauldron. Though, it seemed that she was having some difficulty with it. The small request she soon gave him had the dragon pausing. "Light it? ........ Sure."He looked uneasy about it though. Shifting his wings uncomfortably, he crouched down by the bottom of the cauldron. He could do this. He was a dragon. He could do this. Taking in a deep breath, he soon attempted to breathe out flames to get the fire started. Not so much as a spark came out of his mouth.

The fae seemed rather happy that Jericho had actually said he would. He would actually breathe fire upon request now? That was so cool! Although it wasn't something she wanted to abuse, since he might get mad or want her to pay for it. Though for some reason, he seemed rather nervous about it. As she watched him crouch down, it became clear that he...wasn't going to breath fire. Or more accurately, couldn't. Her eyes went wide at this newfound problem. He couldn't breath fire? What should she do about this? "It-It's okay!" Astra quickly said, stepping forward to pick up her stones again. "I'll just keep using this, it'll start to work eventually, just give me a few minutes." She began hitting the two stones again, managing to create a spark this time as it landed on the logs and began to burn. Though as she stood back, she appeared worried. "A-are you sick?" She asked. She couldn't think of any other reason as to why he couldn't use his flame breath.

Jericho let out a heavy sigh as he sat back to watch Astra ignite the logs the hard way. The dragon looked over his claws with a sense of disapproval. This issue of his was... rather embarrassing. "No. I'm not sick," he murmured quietly, "I just...."Pausing, he shook his head. "Forget it."

The way Jericho had phrased it had her tilting her head slightly. Was he telling her to not worry about it, or did he actually mean...he forgot how to breathe fire? She couldn't be sure about either option, but then if he had forgotten everything else, maybe his abilities were forgotten too? It made sense if she thought about it long enough. Technically he was like a ghost. Except he was still alive. But he appeared rather upset by this. And who could blame him? Frowning, she went back to her cauldron, the water bubbling along nicely. Okay!" She said with a determined air. "We can fix this." It was now she walked away into a set of bushes, and if Jericho listened he would be able to hear a door opened, followed by some clinking and shuffling of objects, before she was back with a bunch of bottles in hand. With those on the table, she was off again, this time outside her dorm room, she was back again, holding a few bags in her hand. "Now I got most of the ingredients, we can start!" Back on her stand she now started opening the bag. In side appeared a few slaps of meat, which she began chopping up into nice fat chunks. "Hallowdeer meat, sheepish meat, batwings, dust bunny meat..." she mumbled while putting each of them in the pot, before looking up. "Anything else you want in it?"

Jericho had fallen silent after that, feeling a sense of shame over his inability. He needed to fix this issue of his somehow. Otherwise, he was going to be pretty damn useless. Looking up as he heard a few things, he watched as Astra began to cut up chunks of meat before throwing them into the cauldron. "Anything is fine really," he said. He didn't really know everything that she had after all.

"Anything?" Her antenna curled and uncurled as she grinned at the red dragon, a scheme popping up in her head as she began reaching for the bottles she had picked out. "That makes everything easier then!" Again the fae had vanished form sight, but not for long as she had ventured back form her cupboard and had a few extra items. By the looks of things, they appeared to be peppers. "Now for some of This, a bit of This, and some of This..." The fae cut up the tiny peppers, placing them in the pot, and then put in a Few more peppers, before finally she had run out. Or did she? "Hmmm....Oh! thats right!" She managed to find another pepper to put in, A before finaly toping it off with One last pepper"There we go, now for some extra spice..." She picked up few bags containing a fine powder in each of them, sprinkling them over the pot. "Powdered firelands wendicorn horn, powdered firelands niji horn, powdered firelands kirinni horn, and some powdered glorn horn, and a few feathers from a phoenix hatchling...also firelands." The pot began to sizzle and spit as she added in the powered spices, and it seemed to bubble even more, taking on a reddish color. She looked at jericho once more "Can you think of anything else? Cause if we can make this extra spicy, it might help you to make fire!" Well, at least it sounded logical in her head... Blade kuroda THOUGHT I'D SHOW YOU SOME LINKS BDD

Pretty soon, Jericho could see the faerie start to throw in a lot of peppers into the cauldron. A LOT of peppers. Furrowing his brow, he wasn't so certain about this stew anymore. Yes, he found that he could eat things that were on fire, but something being super spicy was kind of another deal altogether. "That... should be fine I think," he said as he watched her dump in more ingredients. As for her logic, he just sort of stared at her. He didn't think that was how it worked. After all, he had eaten flaming bat wings and that did nothing to help with the whole fire breathing dealie.

"You think so?" Astra paused as she looked to the table that contained a few different sauces, but if Jericho said it was enough, it was enough. Picking up a spoon that looked bigger then she was, she stood on the edge of the cauldron and began stirring the contents of the stew to make sure every part of it got the intense flavor and spice. Once she was done stirring, she looked at the cauldron, appearing troubled. The reason being? How was she supposed to taste-test it? She was...relatively sure Jericho should be immune to the spiciness (he WAS a fire dragon, he must of had fire in his stomach or something), but herself? She wasn't so sure. But it would be bad to just give it to him without testing it... "I know!" She said to herself, her eyes scanning the room before she went to her cupboard, opening it and rummaging around. Inside could be heard various squeaks, squawking, roaring, and other kinds of noise. But eventually she emerged, holding a squirming cannon cat. "I'll just get this guy to taste it!" Grinning from ear to ear, she walked to the cauldron again and set the cat down, grabbing a bowl on the way, filled it with the bubbling stew and placed it in front of the minipet. "Here you go!" The cat looked at it, sniffed it, then looked the other way. "Aww, come on! Please?" "Meow...." Cautiously, it looked back, sniffed it once more, and gave a tentative lick. The fae watched on as it sat there for a few seconds, before eating more of the stew. She sighed in relief. The mini liked it! But just as she was about to walk away, the cats head snapped up, eyes wide as it literally screeched, jumped around a bit and ran out the door. Afterwards, a loud "POP!" Could be heard. ...."Uh oh....." That wasn't a good sign. And she hoped Malcon wasn't around to charge her for minipet cruelty

Jericho watched with a sense of anxiety as Astra continued to brew this stew. When it was time for it to be done, she had gotten a minipet to taste it. When the cannon cat seemed to be fine as it ate, he was looking a little more relieved. Maybe this won't turn out terrible for him. But then the creature soon let out a horrifying shriek before.... dissipating. The dragon wasn't so sure about this stew again. ".... Is this stew really safe to eat...?" he asked slowly.

"U-ummm...." Astra wasn't so sure herself. What had seemed like a good idea at the time was starting to look really bad. If that happened to Jericho...he'd probably hate her again. And there would be more sleeplessness nights and flying away at the mere sigh of him. Plus he'd be more grouchy too. But if it worked, he might be friends with her instead. That...would be a much nicer outcome. She looked at her creation with a air of determination, marching up the steps with the bowl in hand. Again she filled it up with the bubbling brew, before dipping her head back as she tipped the contents into her mouth, chewing to savor the taste. And the taste? It...was alright, really. She wasn't a huge meat eater and preferred bugs over red meat, but it didn't taste horrible. The spice in it gave it a tangy flavor! But then, it began to kick in. The heat began to build. And build, and build, the fire inside her throat and stomach building to such a intensity that she dropped the bowl, her own eyes wide just like the cannon cats. It was safe to say that, this dish was pretty damn spicy"AHHHHHOMGOMGOMGOMGWATERWATERWATERWATERWATERWATER" Astra began zooming around the room like a fly on steroids, her little frame bouncing of the walls and tress in her attempt to out-fly the intense heat. It was insane, she had never tasted anything so JACK DAMED HOT. Eventually she remembered where the stream was, and flew right into the flowing water, the stream hissing and spitting as it absorbed the extra heat coming of the fairy's body. After a few minutes of bubbles, she crawled out, coughing and spluttering and thoroughly soaked, before collapsing on the floor, tears streaming down her face from the effects of the stew.

Astra wasn't looking very confident with this either, which wasn't helping with how he felt about all of this. Shifting a bit, Jericho stared at the stew. It smelled good. And it looked tasty, but he wasn't so certain that he was able to take this sort of heat. Spicy and fire were two different things. The dragon watched as the little faerie went on to try her own concoction. Before too long, he recoiled as he heard her scream then rush over to find water, dropping the bowl in the process. "...Are you alright?" he asked while making his way over towards her once she came back out of the water. He crouched down by her, then looked over towards the cauldron. "Maybe this isn't such a good idea.."

Sitting up in a kneeling position, Astra coughed, rubbing her eyes as her gaze fell on the pot itself. "I'm....alive." Weather this was a good or bad thing was unknown at this point, at least if she had dissipated she wouldn't have the burning sensation in her throat anymore. To Jericho's comment, her wings dropped. "I guess so...." she responded while looking at the floor. "You..don't' have to try it if you don't want to."

"That's kind of a waste of a lot of food though..." Jericho frowned while looking towards the cauldron, "Do you know anyone who really likes spicy food? I mean.. actual spicy not... like fire."He was trying to point out that yes, there was a difference.
