Delilah nodded as she remembered the name now. "Darrow. I didn't know he was a librarian though. Had been wondering who he was." She admitted. What she wouldn't was that she had expected the Crystal drama teacher to marry someone more out in social standing. Guess you could never judge a book by the cover.
"Though I'm sure she wouldn't trade you for the world." Delilah commented with a warm smile. The way Harmony had worded that statement had Delilah wondering if she believed her mother regretted her. No one should think that.
"That is a pretty special thing to share. My mother doesn't have any sewing talent. I wouldn't trust her with my machine, let alone a needle and thread. Do you do the promotional images for the school plays?"

"He's kind of goofy but I suppose he's ok." Harmony smiled fondly with that statement; it had just creeped up on her. "I guess you can never tell, can you?"
Then the topic was over and she could go back to something else she loved to talk about. As impractical as a degree in photography was it was what she was pursuing. It made her happy to see other people's eyes light up when they saw themselves in a different light. It was almost like being able to show them something in themselves they'd never been able to see before and she liked that feeling a lot.
"Sometimes I do, yeah. When it doesn't conflict with my schedule here or at school now."
Being a full time employee and student was a bit harrowing. Harmony had to re-arrange her life around these two things and it was a bit hard to take. She was certainly learning how to budget her time wisely. That was a new thing in her world, sort of. Usually if she was over booked it was her own fault but nothing really bad came of it. Now it meant being late to work or classes, neither were good things.
"Maybe you could help out, too, sometimes. They're always looking for good sewing talent."

"It always seems that our schedules get busier instead of lighter, doesn't it?" Delilah added as she let out a sigh. She didn't have work but she had school and lessons and then, a second life. Oh that made scheduling fun.
"You know, maybe I should. I am surprised they haven't come by the sewing club and asked. Most of us are always looking for something new to try our hand at. I mean, the other day I tried make steampunk wings. Not something I would ever show someone but at least I can say I tried."

"If you're handy with your sewing machine she could always use the help, especially now that I won't be available as much."
Harmony loved her mother but she was equally as excited about having new prospects in her life to put her focus on. But she understood all too well the sentiment that the day never seemed longer, always shorter. She was feeling it now with her promotion and the college rush. Sometimes she missed the simplicity of the after school theatre program and doing her own thing.
"Still, when an opportunity comes along you have to take it. One of these days you'll probably make really great wings and it'll be because you tried."
She gave Delilah a smile to tell her that she thought it was a worthwhile endeavor, no matter how it came out.

Delilah smiled back and turned back to her note book. Yanking out a blank page, she wrote down her name and number. "I must go, else I will never get anything done but..."
Turning back around, she handed a folded piece of paper.
"If you ever need any outfits, let me know."

Harmony smiled at Delilah and took the piece of paper, smiling at the number there. She'd add it into her phone later but she was happy to make a new friend.
"Good luck."
She nodded, understanding the feeling and needing to get her own tasks done now that she was off work.
"I will, thanks. Take care. It was good to meet you."
