Bix raised his hand, waited for acknowledgement and then stood and rubbed the back of his neck. "Well I sort of already spoke to you, Allan-taichou, but umm I will be," he thought it was confirmed at least, "taking care of Ranged Tactics. Basically helping the ranged fighters work on strategy and such, hopefully with all divisions."
Bix shrugged a bit and smiled, "But I'd also like to help trainees. I mean most who get a ranged weapon haven't ever used one before and I know when I first started no one really leapt forward to help.."

Jerry fell silent on his seat as the Sun Hunters took their turns to talking about their specializations. Hand-to-hand didn't effect him, really... Roar could be used to bludgeon in a pinch, but that didn't mean the weapon appreciated it. What good was he? Did he really want to stay a glorified guinneapig? He supposed he could organize groups to help with testing but did they really want to devolve Sun into that? He had been thinking long and hard about it for some time. It had filled a void the slightly suicidal, manic-depressive man had had for a time, but would it always?
He supposed if others with ranged weapons...
Bix began to speak and Jerry felt himself frowning further. So much for that idea. He supposed as far as ranged tactics were concerned, the other Sun was a better candidate. Think before you shoot was not a motto Jerry had lived by. It was aim, and blast, and cause as much damage as you can before you were taken out.
So where did that leave him? What was he supposed to say? He couldn't just say 'heavy weaponry'- if he had to instruct someone like Rep and Tracy, or Jordan and Ferros, he'd have no idea what to tell them for their short-ranged attacks.
He slumped down in his seat, looking increasingly worried about this evaluation. He had to think fast, and the anxiety was written all over his face. He wanted to teach, he had always wanted to teach, but his whole life it had revolved around being a music teacher, not a weapons master. Was there even something for a screw up like him?

Jordan absentmindedly began drawing a maze on his notepad as he listened, a faint frown forming between his eyebrows. Time to make a choice. Like choosing a major, sort of, picking out and declaring an area of focus you hoped you'd be good enough at to make something out of. Any helpful input? he said to Ferros.
I'm just the blunt-force object here, the dragon responded dryly.
I said helpful input. Maybe he could do something about the nascent idea that had been drifting around the edges of his mind lately. Was it really a Sun Division specialty? Maybe, maybe not, but he could make a case for it, at least.

Rep listened up to what was being said with the most rapt kind of attention. He had a good solid idea about what he wanted to do. If there was one thing that being an impulsive idiot had going for it, it was the ability to make choices. There hadn't been too much deliberating on it before he got stuck into reading about it. As far as he was concerned it was unfinished business, something he wanted to go back and sort while honing skills he felt were of paramount importance.
He eyed his notebook and wondered how the hell he was going to explain it to everyone else. If he'd been more organised he might have written it out beforehand.

"Attention everyone!" After Bix's confirmation, Allan clapped his hands loudly, gathering the attention of every other Sun Hunter in the room. "Bix-kun is our new Ranged Tactics Specialist! He has been blessed with spirit in his kokoro and has advanced to the next stage! Bix-kun's new title is 'Super Deus Level Extreme Ranged Weapons Master'! Hooray!" Allan clapped his hands loudly, and a few Sun Hunters half-heartedly chimed in.
The Sun lead nodded again, suddenly very proud of himself, for some reason. "Super Deus Level Extreme Ranged Weapons Master Bix-kun, do you fully accept the responsibility of finding all those lost in kokoro and teaching them your ways? Do you accept the power of using your pure soul and spirit to show them how to fight as nakama!"
Allan's eyes may have sparkled a bit.

Bix turned red with Allan's enthusiasm. He was used to the Division Lead being excited but most often no one reacted like that to anything he said. Super Deusss Level Extreme Ranged Weaponsss Master? Mina hissed in amusement. Bix was caught up Allan's sparkling eyes. Maybe it was residual bishi-ness rising to the surface. "Ah.. Yes! Thanks Allan-taichou!! Ah.. Arigatou Gozaimasu!!" Bix sparkled back a moment before he turned redder for talking like that in front of ALL THE SUNS.

Jerry clapped quietly, sinking deeper in his seat. His mind was racing. Would he get in trouble if he made a stupid suggestion? Was he key-holed into his position for life? Well, no, that was stupid, Killzone himself had changed focuses a hundred times.
Deep breaths.
Wait his turn and hope for the best.
Oh hell they weren't supposed to say something in Japanese were they? What had the words Bix had murmured even mean??
Evaluations always made him crawl in his skin.

Rep smirked at Bix's enthusiastic reception and his extensive title, mostly though he was smirking at how bright red Bix went for being a massive nerd - rightly so, in his opinion. He nodded sagely, as if some sort of karmic embarrassment justice had been served.
Figuring there was no time like the present to put forward his own ideas, he stood up, and his complete lack of public speaking ability as usual went a long way. "SO. Right, like. Well, I want like." He took a deep breath and made a gesture with his hands. "I want to do extreme terrain right? So like, lean all the shi- stuff there like is to know about it and how to fight there. Plus there'd be room to swing Tracey. And like first up I'd want to go back to the north pole and punch the monsters down there like, right in the nose. And get rid of them. Make it like usable again." And maybe get some more polar bear fur while he was there, he thought to himself. "Like I'd like to drag newbies and stuff out to dangerous places so they can get used to the shock on non important missions and stuff. So when they have to on the real thing they aren't useless to us."

While Allan may, possibly, have had a hard time understanding what extreme terrain entailed, without Simon standing next to him explaining everything in an abridged version, he did understand entirely punching monsters and north pole. He nodded at Rep's proposal, a little slower, "All right Rep-kun, but you must remember if you're going to bring young, aspiring trainee-tachi there you should make sure they are wearing proper uniforms! A strong and healthy mind is a strong and healthy body. In fact, I think I have just the right thing for your team, one second."
The Sun lead suddenly scooted away for a bit and came back with a whole rack of uniforms. Yes, Rep, this was his specialization budget. "I hereby grant you, Rep-kun, permission to use all these outfits, these outfits of social justice and beauty to go out into the wide world and punch polar bears on the nose! Yatta!"
He clapped enthusiastically, though there were a few sighs of relief behind Rep: clearly some of the stress were from Sun Hunters really hoping they didn't get that particular blessing. OOC Anyone else is free to propose or suggest!

Gnat nearly walked right past the Sun division lead's office, before the odd sound of a rather enthusiastic voice drew her attention. She glanced around the doorjam - and down at the symbol on her coat.
Huh. A lot of sunshine in here.
Hadn't her phone gone off earlier? Something about 'nakama' and 'taichou'. Maybe it was a martial arts class. She slipped into the door, listening, trying to stay out of sight... Okay, eavesdropping. Absently, she ran her fingers through one of her ponytails and leaned against the far wall, openly staring. This guy was weird.

Even with all the practice Jordan had had at keeping a straight face, this was a difficult challenge. Uniforms. Somehow, though, he managed not to laugh. That was Allan for you. Someone slipped in the door, and he glanced over, noticing a girl in a trainee coat. Hm. She must have woken up recently, he thought; her face wasn't familiar at all. Not the time to ask right now, though. He took a breath. "Allan-taichou," he said. "I'd like to help out with strategy and attack planning. Both in terms of concrete maneuvers and psychological tactics. Outthinking the enemy can be just as important as overpowering them." He made himself keep his eyes on Allan instead of looking to any of his friends for support. "I would also like to make myself available as an informal counselor. We need to take care of our hearts as well as our bodies." He couldn't quite help a slight wince as he said it; that was cheesy as hell but ... presentation was everything.

Bix's face was red from seeing the school girl uniforms but he gave a sage-like nod when Jordan spouted his slightly cheesy line. Who was he to judge? He'd just yelled out in japanese. Hey was that a new girl? Bix gave her a smirk and a wave in case she felt like taking a seat.

"Ta sir." Rep said with a broad and toothy grin, puffed up with pride and self importance, even the uniforms seemed like a fantastic gift to bestow upon him. He could dress trainees up and test their manliness - because you had to be truly manly to wear a dress in the arctic right? - while being able to legitimately have someone to blame for the hazing. It probably wasn't too far off of what Rep would have spent a budget on anyway, just very specific in nature. "I'll be sure to put them to use and s**t."
As he headed back to sit down, he spotted an unfamiliar. A woman he'd never seen. More bitches, just what he needed. He slowed his pace, dropping his smile to look her over with the most critical high school girl eyebrow raise he could manage to pull off before heading back to sit on the chair.
He might have tried to continue his small campaign of hate if Jordan hadn't spoke up, he followed along just fine right up until the bit about hearts and bodies. Then he completely lost it.
Sorry Jordan, supportiveness only went so far.

Gnat waved back to the blond-haired guy, and gave the red-head an uncertain grin. What was THAT about? She looked down at her outfit, and back up. Well, she wasn't wearing her underwear over her pants, or anything else obvious. Huh. Were they supposed to be like, assigning jobs? And what was this other stuff? Tactics? Counselling? The only tactics she'd ever had to employ was-
"I LIKE SPORTS." She immediately put a hand over her own mouth, wincing. Way to go, slugger.

The newbie seemed right about on course for the general personality type in Sun, Jordan decided, and aimed a surreptitious kick at the leg of Rep's chair.
