"I don't know what side is right or wrong. But I know that the side I fight for does not require me to hurt anyone to accomplish my goals. I don't need to be corrupted, I don't know Chaos to fuel my power."

He shook his head.

"I can't put my belief in a side that is willing to kill to make their progress. I can't trust in a force that erases who a person is, just to make them a soldier. I have seen corruption. I know what it does to a person. They die. They continue to fight, but they're not the same." His eyes grew soft as he thought about the people he had lost to corruption. "They're shells of who they were before, vessels for Chaos and treated as nothing more. But I know there is a way to save them, to bring them back."

But it wasn't permanent. Even the purified could be corrupted again, and it broke them down further. He'd seen it, and it killed him. He wanted to save them, to protect them, but it had been proven that he couldn't. That only made him want to fight harder for it.

"I don't know where you got the idea that Order, and those fighting in defense of this city and this world, would ever kill anyone because they've 'outlasted their usefulness'," Camelot said seriously, "but you're horribly mistaken. If you believe whoever told you that is more trustworthy than me, that is my fault."

"That's not what I was told." Dallol told Camelot, her voice cracking up a little as she fell silent to ponder over what he said. The situation was starting to shape into one in which each side would claim that what they did was right whereas the other did terrible things like killing that shouldn't be condoned. Which was all fine and dandy really except that the Page had no way to tell just who was right and who was conversely wrong. And who had been intentionally trying to mislead her all along.

She was about to ask him to elaborate further on what he meant by people being shells of who they were before once they had been corrupted when something in her suddenly snapped at his last line. What did he mean by this being his fault should she choose to believe in what those on the side of Chaos said? Was he an idiot?

"And why should you be blamed for something that I choose to think and believe in?" She gave a frown at all that, her head already starting to shake to indicate her disapproval. She didn't need another father figure in her life after the failure that Hywell became since the day her mother died. She was old enough to make her own choices and take responsibility for them.

"Because it is up to us, all of us, to be there for each other. I want to do my best by you, by any new knight or senshi that might need help. But I am failing to do that, right now. I don't want to fail you, I want to help you."

He offered her a smile then, tilting his head to the side.

"You look to be old enough to make your own choices, but let me show you what Order is meant to be. What Chaos can be. You have your instincts, you can feel the auras we each carry. Even that should help you, but if you let me help you.. well. That's your choice as well."

He shook his head.

"I think this got off on the wrong foot. My name is Camelot, Knight of Earth." He bowed, "and I am at your service."

He wasn't going to make this any easier for her, was he? Remarque and Buddingtonite. They couldn't have been intentionally deceiving her all along, could they? Chewing on her lower lip, Dallol took a deep breath, trying to focus her thoughts so that she could work this out some. Nope. It was an exercise in futility. This was all his fault. Why couldn't Camelot just give her a reason to reject him outright instead of going with his current gentle approach of reasoning things out with her like a friend would? Why must he make things this complicated when her place was with the Negaverse all along?

"Camelot. The same Camelot as the one in King Arthur's legend? Isn't that supposed to be fictious?" She finally allowed herself to smile at that, the edges of her lips curling up ever so slightly to express her innate gratitude for the temporary distraction from her own thoughts. "Tell you what. Fight me and if you win, I'll give you a chance at all that. If not, then all bets are off." Came her eventual proposal. He would win of course. There was no way that she would. It was just her way of indirectly agreeing to what he was offering so long as he was willing to work for it.

The Knight of Earth looked surprised, eyebrows lifting thoughtfully as she challenged him to a fight.

He looked nervous, but it was not for himself. He was more than used to getting knocked around. He had broken his arms and legs more than enough to be rather confident in his ability to take a hit and deal with the pain of a fight. Especially losing a fight: he had done that more than enough in his life and experience to know how to handle it.

It was not for himself, no.

Very recently, Camelot had gotten into a fight with a young Negaverse agent, and he had accidentally killed her in the fray. He hadn't been aiming to do it: he'd only wanted to protect the senshi he was fighting with, and the Nega had been hell bent on anything but letting him do that. It had been one split second attack, hitting her on the back of the head with his shield, and it had been over.

Just like that.

He couldn't handle it if he managed to do that to someone on his side, a fellow knight no less, if he wasn't paying attention in a fight. He knew he could control himself, and that it had been a fluke, an accident, but still. He cleared his throat and nodded.

"Yes, ah. If that's what you want to do, I suppose we can try it." He was at the height of his power, where she had only just begun, but he wouldn't condescend to her: if she wanted to try and prove herself to him, he would let her. It was important. He smiled, though it was closer to a daring grin, "I'll even give you the first shot."

Now that Dallol was more or less convinced to allow Camelot a chance to show her how things were like on the Order side of things, did this mean that she was seriously contemplating the notion of staying with them and relinquishing the Negaverse and Dark Mirror Senshis whom she had been so dead set on fighting alongside from now on? Not necessarily.

Remarque did suggest during the later course of their initial meeting that she try to find out more about the White Moon and what they were up to. The way things were going, she figured that it would still be in her favour to go ahead with this since she could see for herself just how they were like yet be in a prime position to inform the Eternal Chaos Senshi should anything potentially useful come her way.

Still blissfully oblivious to the extent of the difference between their respective strengths and the potential dangers that came with it, the young Page gave a soft snort at the other's offer to let her go first, a genuine smile finally forming on her face as she took a few steps back to ready herself for the challenge. Alright. She only had her fists and legs in addition to her ladle whereas Camelot had in his possession a really large shield that he would logically use to parry her blows so a direct approach was probably not going to work which meant...

With her decision made as to how she should attempt to approach this, she tightened her grip on her ladle then started a direct frontal charge towards the older Knight, her ladle already swinging in the air for the side of his head though her main attack was actually the kick from her contralateral left leg that was aimed for his side while she used her other leg as a pivoting point in order to transfer some of the momentum from the arm swing to lend more force to the kick itself. "Alright. Don't start complaining about me taking advantage of you if you so happened to lose as a result of that..!"

Camelot was actually looking forward to her attack, watching her movements with keen interest. She had some good initiative and she instincts, which he was glad to see. It was better than he had when he started, certainly.

He had been hopeless.

He liked to think he was not any more, that he had learned enough not only to keep himself safe, but ti pass on to others. He let her charge him, moving to catch her leg as she kicked at him, judging that to be where her power was and letting the ladle do as it wanted. His armor and rank gave him plenty of cover.

He doubted it would fell him. But he'd been wrong before.

Gripping her head, he opted to pull her toward him to throw her off balance, turning as he did so in a sort of dance move, mostly just to swing her around with him on one foot. He let go only when he was sure her balance was thrown. He'd keep his attacks to deflection and small bops and kicks. He didn't want to hurt her, just teach her.

What Dallol probably had going for her was her lithe frame and speed. Her power, on the other hand, really left much to be desired as exemplified by the way her ladle bounced harmlessly off Camelot's armor upon making contact. So much for that. She obviously had a long way to go before she was anywhere near being adept at this, but it was still some sort of start from which she could work on and develop her own modus operandi with time.

Her eyes went wide when the older Knight managed to catch her leg, a soft grunt that hinted at her own annoyance at having being thwarted coming from her as she was forced to hop awkwardly with Camelot until he eventually saw it fit to let her go. With the amount of force she had going for her, it didn't exactly take much, or long for that matter, to throw her balance off entirely and she almost tripped over her own feet, both her arms already outstretched and ready to break her fall should that happen.

Thankfully that did not come to pass though she did stumble and come close to falling in the midst of her ungraceful flailing movements, and it wasn't until a long while later that she finally recovered enough to make another attempt again, this time round with her crouching low on the ground just as she was about to reach him so that she could aim a kick at his legs. Probably not her best move compared to what she tried to pull off before, but she would learn with time and experience.

Camelot watched her, motioning for her to try again.

He was impressed with her ability so far, and she seemed to know the basics as far as fighting went. Maybe more than the basics. That was a blessing for her, though he hoped he would be able to show her just which side she was supposed to be fighting for, and then press the idea that fighting wasn't actually the best plan for them.

It would be a long road.

Camelot watched her move, seeing her going low. He opted this time to introduce her to his shield, moving it to place it between her kick and his leg. Maybe she needed to see what she would get as she powered up. Stronger weapons, more abilities. No chaos.

"You're fighting style is very good," he said honestly.

Truth be told, Dallol was surprised by herself really. The Uranus Page had initially attributed the fluidity of her actions to the moves she had probably picked up subconsciously from the action movies that she personally enjoyed watching on a regular basis. Even if she had to catch them on her own given that none of her classmates were interested in this particular genre to begin with.

However, she couldn't quite shake off the queer sense of vague familiarity that seemed to accompany each and every action that she took. It was somewhat like the recurring dream of the desert landscape that she used to have, yet not quite anything close to the feeling that she should be getting had this all come from the movies as she had assumed prior. "Why... thank you. I haven't done this before really to be honest."

Denied of her goal yet again, the young Page let herself roll on the ground backwards and away from Camelot from the force of the kick, a slightly puzzled expression on her face as she next picked herself up to muse to herself. "... yet it feels kind of... familiar..?" The last bit was spoken with an uplifting sort of tone, almost as if it was a question posed to the older Knight to see if he could shed any light on all this, but only if he wished to share what he knew of course.

"You haven't?" Camelot looked surprised, but was almost glad to hear it. To be awakened with instincts like that, to be able to defend herself without needing to learn the hard way like so many of them did, would keep her safer in the long run. He was glad for that, whether she liked him or not.

She was still a knight, which automatically meant that he was going to fret about her endlessly.

"Familiar? Hm. I wonder if it might be memories from your Wonder... or perhaps it is just more in your nature than you know, and you're able to tap into it now that you have the power to. Either way, you're doing very well." He smiled, even a small bit jealous because he had been absolutely useless.

He'd gotten a little better since then.

He stood his ground as she collected herself, letting her lead the fight, not attacking her now but holding his shield in front of him just in case.

Dallol shook her head. "I thought that it was something I had picked up from the movies I have watched but this feels different. It's like on a different level entirely." She stood her ground, not really sure how best she could go about explaining something that even she herself knew very little about at this point. Sure she could bring up the dreams she had been having prior to her awakening but she certainly didn't want Camelot to get the impression that she was losing her marbles.

Back to the matter at hand though, it didn't seem like she was getting anywhere with the obviously more experienced Knight so she figured that now was as good a point to desist her attacking since something interesting had just come up in their conversation. "Not well enough to have you concede defeat though. Could you please tell me more about this Wonder that you speak of?"

She took a step then another towards the Earth Knight with a tentative look on her face. She had to admit that it really wasn't like her to throw in the towel like this but that didn't mean that she had given up on beating Camelot some day in another sparring session once she had gotten better at this fighting thingy.

Camelot smiled and lowered his shield, nodding his head. "Of course. Your Wonder is what you are named for. Like I am named after Camelot. It's tied to the planet I represent, Earth. As you become more aware of yourself, you will learn how to travel to your Wonder. You'll be able to learn a little bit about your history there, and the power that's been awakened inside you."

He smiled. He didn't actually visit Camelot as often as he should. Maybe he was scared about something he might find there. It was hard to say, he knew how important it could be for a knight but still he had only been to Camelot, the wonder, a few times.

Though, recently, he had become very keen on going again.

He leaned on his shield, looking relaxed and content. He watched her with a warm expression, as friendly as he ever was.

"There are memories there, sometimes. I've heard people talk of seeing the images of the knights that came before them, and having memories of their former lives. I'm a little disappointed to report that I have haven't experienced anything like that yet, but I suppose I haven't been back to my wonder enough." He sighed.

Dallol stopped once she was about an arm's length away from Camelot, making sure at the very least that they need not raise their voices at each other in order to make themselves heard. "Our Wonders... you mean Camelot really does exist on Earth? Do you like take a plane there or something?"

She was pretty sure that she had gotten that last bit wrong, unless there was some government funded space program that the public wasn't privy to, since there was no other way through which she could see herself getting to Uranus for the purpose of visiting Dallol. If she ever got round to paying it a visit some day. "I'm not quite sure if I'm following you with the traveling or the becoming more aware of yourself bit. I mean. I am already aware of myself right here and now, given that I'm Dallol and not my other self if you know what I mean?"

The notion of visiting her Wonder came off as sounding rather odd in her mind. Almost as if she was planning to visit herself since she was technically Dallol. She frowned at the confusion behind her own thought processes, trying to keep a tight rein on her own impatience at her lack of understanding as she waited for Camelot to elaborate further on what had been brought up thus far. "Figures. But it doesn't make you any less of the Knight you are right now before me. What's the big deal about the past if you end up accomplishing nothing with your current one?"

"No, not a plane. It's not here, not any more. But there is a way to travel to it, through our magic. It's how we are connected to the names we represent. You'll learn how to do it: it's something all knights must experience for themselves. No one can tell you how. You'll know when you hear it."

It was a little vague, but the words would come to her, and she would be able to go to her own wonder and learn what he was babbling about that way. He hoped so, at least, as it was a very person and important step in a knight's life.

"I know what you mean. But don't worry. Like I said, you'll figure it out. I can show you Camelot, if you'd like. To give you a legitimate example, rather than trying to explain something so... complicated. It's easier to understand when you witness just how deep our magic runs, and how we're tied to our pasts. Knowing who you were and who you are can impact one another, but you're right. It's up to you, here and now, to decide what sort of legacy you forge."
