Ihre Prinzessin Jewelies I can't think of what the song is called, but I know the lyrics by heart because it's such a gorgeous song and it's my favorite that we sing at church. The more I seek you, The more I find you. The more I find you, The more I love you. I want to sit at your feet, Drink from the cup in your hand, Lay back against you and breath, Feel your heart beat. This love is so deep, It's more than I can stand, I melt in your peace, it's overwhelming That's my favorite hymn. I was just thinking of this song earlier! It's actually called "The More I seek You" and performed by Kari Jobe (I think). It's also not a hymn. People are unsure of what the Author intended for the song, but it makes lovely lyrics for praise. Jewelies My favorite Christian song...I'm not sure. But I do really really like 'One Life to Lose' by Laura Story. Actually I really love her whole 'Blessings' album, every song on there is gorgeous. Also, and I feel a little nervous saying this due to the singer walking away from God, but before she did she wrote amazing Christian music. The song is called 'Hold me now' by Jennifer Knapp. The song is just...beautiful. I used to struggle a lot with things I'd done in the past, and God gave me this song. The first time I really heard the lyrics to it I just started crying. I'll just post a few lyrics here Let he without sin cast the first stone if he will, to say that my bride isn't worth half the blood that I spilled Point your fingers and laugh if you choose, to say my beloved is borrowed and used? She is strong enough to stand in my love. I can hear her say... I am weak I am poor I am broken, Lord, but I'm yours... Hold me now, hold me now.... Wow that is powerful! I mean hymn a in, we sing out during praise and worship. It's not like a real church hymn though, no. It is a powerful song, yeah. :3 I remember when I first heard it, like really heard it, it had me just crying. God used that song to just really touch my life.

It's pretty cliché, but I always get chills from O Sacred Head Now Wounded. Besides just the fact that I looooove Bach, it's a really beautiful hymn and of course it talks about one of the most sacred events in Christian history, so it's pretty powerful that way. I love a lot of music, though (well duh, that's why I'm a musician XD). Another hymn tone/song that I love is Ubi Caritas - both the original chant and the Duruflé choral setting. Gorgeous music.

Oh I'll have to look that up! I love the old hymns and chants as well. Something powerful about worshiping with the same songs they did many years ago.

I agree - chants can be really cool. It brings you back to the way the old church might have been, and kind of gives a feel for just how tradition-steeped the church history is.

Casting Crowns - Who Am I Who am I, that the Lord of all the earth Would care to know my name Would care to feel my hurt Who am I, that the Bright and Morning Star Would choose to light the way For my ever wandering heart
Not because of who I am But because of what You've done Not because of what I've done But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading Here today and gone tomorrow A wave tossed in the ocean Vapor in the wind Still You hear me when I'm calling Lord, You catch me when I'm falling And You've told me who I am I am Yours, I am Yours
Who am I, that the eyes that see my sin Would look on me with love and watch me rise again Who am I, that the voice that calmed the sea Would call out through the rain And calm the storm in me
Not because of who I am But because of what You've done Not because of what I've done But because of who You are
I am a flower quickly fading Here today and gone tomorrow A wave tossed in the ocean Vapor in the wind Still You hear me when I'm calling Lord, You catch me when I'm falling And You've told me who I am I am Yours
I am Yours Whom shall I fear Whom shall I fear 'Cause I am Yours I am Yours

Casting Crowns - Voice Of Truth Oh what I would do to have The kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I'm in Onto the crashing waves
To step out of my comfort zone To the realm of the unknown where Jesus is And He's holding out his hand
But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed The waves they keep on telling me Time and time again. 'Boy, you'll never win!' "You'll never win"
But the voice of truth tells me a different story And the voice of truth says "Do not be afraid!" And the voice of truth says "This is for My glory" Out of all the voices calling out to me I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth
Oh what I would do to have The kind of strength it takes to stand before a giant With just a Sling and a stone Surrounded by the sound of a thousand warriors Shaking in their armor Wishing they'd have had the strength to stand
But the giant's calling out my name and he laughs at me Reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed The giant keeps on telling me Time and time again "boy, you'll never win! "You'll never win"
But the stone was just the right size To put the giant on the ground And the waves they don't seem so high From on top of them looking down I will soar with the wings of eagles When I stop and listen to the sound of Jesus Singing over me
I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth
