I messed up, I just know I did... At this point, Eva figured she would probably end up just having to settle for one of those guys that have been following her around. But then, as she was talking, he just walked up to her. Suddenly, her face flushed with embarrassment again. He was a lot taller than she was, and at first it took her a second to adjust. Then, he asked that even if she couldn't find the right person, that he might work. Now even more than before, she felt extremely embarrassed. "I-I didn't mean it like that... I mean, well..." she trailed off. I sound like a fool! Even with all the other social experiences in her life, she hadn't ever felt this nervous before. It was like a weight was pressing against her chest and she just couldn't find the right words to make her sentences come together. And he just acted so cool, to boot. Maybe he was nervous, too, but she still felt like she was babbling much more. Finally, she stopped herself. Without babbling, she met Izan's eyes and smiled. "I would love to be your partner," she declared. Oh my god why does it sound so weird when you say it out loud?! Though she cursed the method, this time Eva tried not to fluster, instead smiling sweetly at Izan and waiting for a response.

He was definitely nervous, but she looked more fluster than he was. Perhaps she wasn't expecting him to ask her in such a manner. Not only that, but this happened on their first meeting too. Little by little, light-bugs emerged from the soil and grass into the skies. All of the bugs scattered into groups and individuals as they surrounded him and Eva. The illuminating green lights made things lit up like a festival as the moon disappeared behind dark clouds. Izan's smile had disappeared entirely as his expression changed from overly joyful to dominating success. He did not anticipate that she would agree to becoming his weapon. Izan began laugh lightly, and smiled warmly as he heard her say some cheesy words. He then wrapped his arms around her neck and placed her head onto his chest with the palm of his hands excitingly. After a second, he lowered the amount of pressure he used to hug her and loosen up a bit. While still holding her head onto his chest, he spoke softly "Arigatou...Eve-chan, I won't let you down, I promise" He let her go all of sudden and moved away from her quickly after realizing what he had done. Crap, crap, crap why the heck did I do that? Now shes gonna think I'm part of those weirdos that keep on following her around.
When Eva replied to Izan, he smiled, and she couldn't help but smile as well. Everything had seemed to work itself out in the end. However, then the atmosphere suddenly changed. Izan wrapped his hands around her neck and pulled her in close to his chest. It was as though her heart skipped a beat. His body had a strange sort of warmth that was comforting, yet at the same time surprising. At first his grip was practically brutal, and even before he loosened his grip Eva realized that she didn't really mind. When Izan said that he would promise not to let her down, Eva finally relaxed. Before, she had been tense from the sudden human contact, however she realized that there was nothing to be afraid of. Then, suddenly, he pulled away and it wasn't until he did that Eva realized how awkward that situation is. Oh god, should I say something? For a moment, she didn't do anything while thinking about the situation. It was kind of weird, like those guys that followed her everywhere, but also different from that. Looking into his eyes, she realized that saying anything would just heighten the awkwardness. Instead, she took a few steps forward slowly, closing the distance between them before quickly rushing in and wrapping her arms around his torso. Due to the difference in height, there was no real way for her to make this any less awkward of a hug. For a moment, she just stood there and said nothing, before leaning back and looking up at him. She smiled, and said simply, "We'll do good, Izan." Stepping away, she smiled a smile like her usual, but with a hint of almost awkward confusion behind it.

He would just let them all down in the end perhaps. Making unfulfilled promises when he know there's a large chance that he wouldn't be able to keep it. "Sorry" He was beginning to think he must push himself beyond his limits just to stay true to his words. What kind of mess did he bring himself into this time? But he felt happy and welcomed at DWMA after that partnership. "Don't set the bar too high please?" Izan smiled and laughed out loud in joy. Things are going to be different from now forth, he had to fight with someone now. Eva must be tired by now, after all he kept her up all night. "I think we should get some rest...I'll see you tommorrow then?"
When Izan laughed at himself, Eva smiled back awkwardly. Crap did I make things worse? She hoped that her return hug hadn't been too awkward, but who knew. Something about him just made her thoughts jumble together into awkward actions. Maybe she was just tired. Still, when he talked to Eva, her heart still fluttered a bit. "Yeah," she replied with a smile. "I'll see you tomorrow!" Her tone might have been just a bit too eager, but all that mattered now was that she had a meister. Not only a meister, but a meister who was a good person, unlike the rabble that followed her. Maybe things had been awkward between them thus far, but Eva had a feeling that everything would turn out in the end. After all, they had only really known each other for a day. Who knew what time would do? For now, Eva simply set her sights on tomorrow, especially getting rest for her first day working with her new partner.
