She snorted softly. "Really, I have to be more careful than you. You can't have foals." Sand Dancer said and shook her mane. "They may come around but I don't often give them the time of the day." However her choices in the ones she has given into haven't always been upstart picks. Her mind wandered back to Riftwatch a moment before going back to Race the Dusk.

"Imagine if I did foal... with my luck they'd all be Berserkers and this herd will hate me for it." She said half jokingly and wandered into slightly deeper water before turning to face him, her horn tapping gently against his in the process.

Race snorted in elegantly. "I can have foals too. I just.. likely won't know about it," he finished sheepishly. He acknowledged that stallions did tend to have it easier.

He stared into her cool blue eyes as she faced him. Briefly, he rubbed noses with Sand Dancer. "You know the herd would never hate you for bringing us more children. No colt or filly would be turned away because of something out of their control." His horn grazed her cheek as he lay his head lightly along hers. "This is home for you and any foals you might have. Or, should they leave, we will let them go and make their own ways. But we've gotten serious and it's gotten cold." Race whuffled air at the mare and chuckled. "I think the sea is trying to crawl inside me. Let's at least stop standing in such high water?"

Sand Dancer knew his words were true, but it didn't help her feel and more at ease. She could feel changes in her since being with the loner stallion, and she knew her talk was based more on truths than hypotheticals. Part of her hoped they would take after her more than the drifter, only because she knew nothing about him.

"A little cold never hurt any one." She said canting her head to the side, and then as if the sea was telling her to move, a bit of a larger swell came up and splashed all the way up her back and neck. If she were human, she'd have goosebumps.

Giving a wet snort, she shook it off and moved up past him. "Always reading the sea so correctly." She murmured flicking his chest with her wet tail as she went up to the shore.

Race grumbled several uncharitable things under his breath. The wet sting of her tail was annoying. Fickle mare. He waded out of the cool sea and grimaced as the cool drops chilled further out of the water.

He glanced at Sand Dancer obliquely. "Race you back to the herd," he taunted. Not waiting for a reply, he set off, grey hide gleaming wetly in the the sun.
