When she next woke up, Astra found she was somewhere with a lot of sticky goop that wouldn't come off her clothes. It stuck everywhere, even her delicate wings and antennae. As she tried to pull her antenna off her back she saw the ground was...moving.

She didn't like moving ground. Considering it might be a huge monster. So she decided to look at some bones nearby. They had to be much safer then anything else around here. However upon looking at them all she could find was a hand that crawled away before she could get closer.

Weird...

It wasn't quite clear what compelled Sibyl to look over her shoulder, but when she did she gasped with delight and turned around. "Gabriel~! HIIIIIIII~!" She grinned and raised her arm to wave at the boil, because you know he totally wouldn't see a normal little wave no she had to make sure he saw her. Sibyl, he's looking right at you how is he going to miss you? Seriously. She turned to the tall man again, clasping her hands beneath her chin and giving a little bow. "I have to go meet my friend now! But I'll look for your notes! Promisepromisepromise~!" Undying love and adoration, yes please!

She ran off after that to approach Gabriel, wasting no time in giving him a big hug...at least until she noticed there was something strange above his head. The creature was unnoticed so far, but it would get attention once she sorted out this little curiosity.

Suddenly Sibyl giggled, freeing Gabriel from her hug and pointing at the bubbles above his head. "I thought you said you were a white dragon, not a bubble dragon~."

Why did that sinking regret feel heavy the moment she'd noticed him? He did this on purpose - came to find her, give her the damn thing he'd brought, and then walk around. This was on purpose, so why did he feel like he was just setting himself up for something awful, just by seeing that ridiculously excited grin?

Gabby made a point not to look at the man Sibyl was talking to, because let's be honest, no one should look directly at him. He put his hand down when she headed over, and considered holding it out to shake, when she slammed into him instead. The heavy feelings of regret turned into heavy feelings of remorse for having those heavy feelings of regret, and the mood bubble that popped up above his head shone with a giant, blue sweatdrop that sunk down slowly. She pointed up above his head, and he lifted his head up to swat away at whatever bubble she was talking about.

"I'm NOT a bubble dragon, what the hell?" He grunted, failing to swat anything he could see away. The mood bubble danced with little black squiggly lines, before fading away completely.

Gabby frowned, and regarded Sibyl carefully for a moment. Based on her clothing, he'd been right to put on a tie. If he hadn't, he'd probably be totally embarrassed that she was wearing a pretty dress and he hadn't even tried. But that, of course, meant she was wearing a pretty dress, which meant she looked pretty, which meant Gabriel's mood bubbles were going to betray him like the foul demons they were. He didn't say a word, but when the bubble popped up above his head again, it was clearly a very red, ridiculous blush emote. The faint and hardly visible blush on his own face was thankfully eclipsed by such a ridiculous sight.

"You look nice. I guess." He mumbled, under his breath, and shoved the leash at her carelessly.

"Here." He muttered. "I. Uh. Well they have like. Computers here, so I looked up stuff about selkies. And I figured this was a better present than some damn stupid flowers or whatever."

The fat, waddling little creature felt the tug and came around from behind his legs. "Happy Scarentine's Day or whatever." He wasn't going to be that guy who didn't bring a present to Scarentine's. Even if it wasn't a date. Which it definitely, definitely wasn't.

The bubbles changed color and shape! That was so awesome! Sibyl continued to giggle as Gabriel made a point of trying to seat away the angry bubbles, reaching up as if go try and help except for the fact that she was too short to actually reach up that high with climbing Gabriel like a tree, which Sibyl thought would be a bad idea.

This time.

Her arms dropped when the bubble disappeared, curiously looking down at herself when she found Gabriel's eyes on her. What? Was there something wrong? No, no. Everything seemed to be in order! Strange! What was he--oh! Sibyl grinned when he complimented her, doing a little twirl to show off her pretty dress. "Thank you~! You look nice, too!" Sibyl didn't really know much about fashion or anything like that but she did like this dress. And boils wore ties for special occasions, right? And this was a special occasion!

The leash being shoved at her threw her off, catching it and holding it in both hands with a strange, confused look up at Gabriel. He..what? "What's better than--"

And then it waddled out from behind Gabriel.

Sibyl's jar dropped and her eyes widened, her hands tightening their grasp on the leash. A penguin...he'd..Gabriel had brought her a penguin! She had t had one of these since right before she left home! She had to fight every instinct within her to shred it old and eat its delicious, delicious meat. Oh, Gabriel. Gabriel was amazing. He spoke and she almost didn't catch it, looking up at him dumbfounded and at a loss for words at first. "Huh wha..o-oh..! Yes happy...happy.." And then it apparently finally sank in. This penguin was for her. "Th-THANK YOU!" Sibyl scooped up the penguin, which squawked and wriggled in its predator's arms. "THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!" Squealing, she spun with the penguin and hopped up and down, clearly ecstatic over the best present ever.

The penguin squawked.

But oh no! She hadn't brought him anything! You were supposed to bring gifts?! Gah! She would just have to win something extra special just for Gabriel today! Yes, she was determined. "Thank you so much! You're the best, Gabriel! Heeeee!"

Well, he guessed she liked it.

"Geez, okay, I get it, you're welcome, relax." The blushing bubble returned with a vengeance, but Gabriel tried to look nothing but annoyed, shooing her away much like he'd been shooing away the bubbles. The way she spun around with it made him wonder if he'd bought it for the right reasons or not, but he let her decide what she wanted to do with it. There was no kitchen here, it would have to just follow along for a while until the day was over.

"I'm glad you like it." He muttered, shyly trying to move away from the topic while his hand rubbed his neck. "So you should check out some of the booths. I stopped by a few on my way here. They're okay, I guess. If you're into that sort of thing." He shrugged, super nonchalantly.

It would take a great deal of self control and will power but Sibyl would wait for a more private moment to get this penguin better acquainted with its fate. Sweet, delicious--no, Sibyl. Don't think about that. She set the penguin down and pat its head with a warm smile, keeping a firm grip on the leash just in case it's survival instincts were to suddenly kick in.

"I promised I would help find the nice man's notes.." Sibyl pointed back at X, though she never took her eyes off Gabriel. But booths...she could win him a present! "But yeah! We can come back later, right?" She promised! And a Sibyl always kept her promises! She reached for Gabriel's hand with her free one, intending on holding his hand while leading him to another booth somewhere.

"NICE man?" Gabby couldn't help it. He turned to give X one last look. That guy.. was nice? He supposed it said something about judging a book by its cover.. but.. yeowch. He did not expect that man to be called anything even close to nice.

"Kay." He shrugged. "If you want to help the guy out first, that's cool with me. Otherwise, I don't care what we-" He looked down at the hand, his lips pursing in a moment of hesitation, but he reached out and took it anyway. It wasn't like holding hands was a big deal or anything, he told himself. Calm down, he commanded. It's no big deal.

Hand in hand, Gabby realized he had given Sibyl the power to lead him anywhere she wanted. He had no say in the matter. And for just a moment, he wondered how it had come to this.

Then the moment was over, and he was looking back at the booth they were leaving with relief.

Mjoll was walking past the booth when she noticed the man actually needed help. While normally she wouldn't oblige to such silly notions, especially with daunting looking forests there seemed to be something in it for her.

Her brows lofted as she watched and listened, well if he was going to make it worth her wile if she helped him, she might as well help him. The death crafter shrugged and walked into the forest as if she owned the place.

She walked along the path until she came to fork and then decided to move on to Brightcove Below, because obviously if there was anything about heroics it was going the most seemingly dangerous route.

Though soon she heard a noise under her feet, and the ground gave way and Mjoll gave a yelp of surprise.

Today was the day Millie would come back with a note and not these silly trinkets....

Or so she kept telling herself. Running headlong into the forest, Millie paused enough to pick up a branch and enchanted it with a light spell enough so that it functioned as torch.

"No light my butt." Millie told the branch and headed off towards the dark cave that she had avoided before.

Except the minute she scrambled up the hill to get to the cave, the floor lit up and she didn't need the branch. Discarding it with great annoyance, Millie headed down the staircase.

Some type of beast was making an awful lot of noise. The light and the constant noise was giving Millie a headache. Millie broke into a run only to hear the beast... whatever it was thundering behind her. Just as she found a dead end, the floor gave way and Millie fell to the floor below.

Millie woke up, covered in some sticky green goo. "Yuck!" she said as she noticed a sleeping creature nearby a little too late. She hoped it hadn't woken up.

She looked around, wondering how to get closer to it without waking it up.

Moving carefully on the bones, a few of them snapped and the beast woke up rearing on it's haunches and staring at her... with it's... face?

Millie wasn't quite sure what to make of this creature as it rooted her to the ground and told it's tale.

Bone Hollow of Hollow Bones

Mjoll looked around wrinkling her nose at the colors and the horrible decorating sense. Not to mention that whatever this was had just ruined her clothes and gloves, good thing she wore gloves.

Standing up she moves to investigate the bones carefully. Everything seemed to be some sort of odd living thing around here. Of course, luck would have it that Mjoll had found the note! She wrinkled her nose once again as she retrived it from the bones and sighed. So now she had to find Selene, how was she getting out of here?

It probably didn't even look like the two were wandering the festival together, given the distance and silence between them. They looked awkward, maybe a little uncomfortable and perhaps a little odd; a flame demon and an undead Wight, really.

Olivia had no idea what to talk about, and the lingering hold of the Sleepy Time was still affecting her, making her odd every so often. And with Andrew being down, she really had no idea what to say to him since she still didn't even know him that well. Usually someone else guided the topics or even commenting on the scenery would suffice, but even that didn't seem like it would work to her. She kept her mouth shut, and just let her gaze wander the different stalls, trying to find them a destination.

The pair came upon the Shadowed area that sat against a particular forest; one that Olivia wasn't aware was actually rather forbidden. But the very thin gentleman in the black suit caught her interest and then attention when he waved a finger, beckoning anyone who dared to come.

He needed help? That could prove interesting, and finding things. Andrew had been rather good at that, when he kind of helped her with the envelopes - even though her's was empty. And it would be in a forest, plenty of space for them. Olivia turned to Andrew, "how about this?"

PART ONE: The Forked Path

"Ahhh... it doesn't really look like a booth... but whatever." he shrugged. "We can try and find his stuff." Under normal circumstance he probably would have blown the creepy demon off.

He did ask the demon what was in it for them... and did not like the answer. The treats looked like living ones too. He didn't really want to eat them. well there was always the option of saleing them later.

"I am pretty ok at finding things." he didn't particularly like the darkness of the forest, but hey, he did have a torch. There were advantages to being a flame demon, it was never truly dark with him around.

He thought he heard his name as he walked into the forest, and stopped at the path. Which way to go. "Olivia, which path do you choose?" he would follow.

Making Olivia decide, again! I'm terrible.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 16, 2013 4:29 pm

It didn't matter to her that it didn't look like a booth, now so many of them didn't look like one now that she thought about it. But, hopefully this one didn't prove to be a disaster. He was at least going along with her, at his safe distance.

Olivia stood in silence as Andrew talked to the Slender man for a short time and then smiled when they were off again. Talking wasn't her strong suit, but she was glad that the flame demon seemed to be again. "You found the envelopes," she commented as they walked into the forest. She could feel the eyes upon her and the soft whispers of her name. The ghoul's eyes occasional glanced around as if trying to find the source, but to no effect.

Huh.

They kept venturing further, until finding themselves at the Forked Path. Which way? Why did she always have to choose? She pushed her lips together and looked at the options. A cave or a large glade. Both seemed viable options really, though she wondered if entering such a green place again would be a good idea. Not because of Andrew's flames but because of what happened the last time try entered a very leafy looking location.

"Let's.. go that way." She said, pointing at the cave entrance. It might be a tighter spot but how bad could a cave be?

Caves: part two

He nodded and walked with Olivia to the caves. Something felt off, he shivered. was it getting colder? He tried to force up the heat around him, just to get almost even.

Then the stairs started falling. He took off in a run loosing track of Olivia. "Olivia!?" he called out confused. He wasn't anywhere near the beginning.
