Her glare at Astrid was now solely focused on this Dragon called Afrien. Knowing Astrid, there is no way she would let a mere dragon into heaven without a reason. There was more to his story...

"Idiotic?" Her voice came out like venom and her eyes flared at this young one's bold talk. However she ruffled her wings to calm herself. Getting angry at a random dragon would not solve this war. After closing her wings, Freya let out a sigh, "With all due respects, Afrien, your concerns are not necessary."

She moved forward two steps and stopped before Astrid. The elder had took the message and moved to the side with a bow. Freya then looked back at Afrien. "To my knowledge, my people and I have made no moves to gaining allies with your kind. Matter of fact, we have made no movements to any other species to join our cause." Her face softened but her eyes were strong with pride, "Nevertheless, you claim these things. Now, tell me Afrien, what is the reason of your concerns."

Freya listened calmly to his concerns. Yet there was a gapping hole in the center of his reasons. "It appears I must correct you on one thing before I state my opinion." She glanced back at Astrid, "I am assuming you do not know this, but Astrid is the Angel of Birth, and has existed ever since the creation of life."

Then turned back at Afrien, "She has lived to see all life be created, including the beginning of Demons. Why is that you ask? Why would an Angel know of Demons?" Freya paused to let what she said sink in before finally speaking, "Angels and Demons are of similar origin. Both sides created, not of good or evil, but of life. And both equal despite their jobs."

Freya breathed and continued, "Our war began not out of balance, but out of our own... As you would say, "Mortal" devices. Though we appear divine and pure, Angels have also committed sins. Though a demon may appear dark, they too can be kind.
"We once had peace between Demons... and now the only way to reclaim such peace is with swords."

She finally stopped explaining the situation and ruffled her wings which became stiff. "The innocences involved...It is unavoidable. We do try and make our fights scarce of mortal lives, but mortals are a curious breed." Which was true, no matter what they try, a mortal eventually comes to our gates. Freya sighed, finally stopping her explanation.

She lightly laughed, "It seems you have misunderstood why I brought up Astrid. However, I will clarify I meant no disrespect to your species." Freya ruffled her wings and spoke clearly, "Angels and Demons serve their duties because of the mortals. Our lives are tied together through their existence. Yet our lore has been constantly altered by their own means... Regardless, bringing Astrid up was only to clarify one of our many links to Demons."
She raised her brow as he continued to mention the mortals, "I admire you for your concern, Afrien. But realize this." Freya's gaze harded, "If there were another way, it would have been done by now."

Sighing, she took four steps back and began to stretch her wings. "Forgive me Afrien, but I must be off now. I have duties I must attend to." once her wings where outstretched, Freya turned back to Astrid. "Astrid, escort Afrien." Without waiting for him to fire back at her, Freya thrusted her wings and rose high into the sky, flying to the Palace.

[Exit to Heaven's Palace]

Astrid kept her bow until Her Majesty finally left. As she rose, she let her wings stretch out and then curl back to her frame. Noting his comment, Astrid sighed, "She knows who you are already. If I knew who you were, she would know too." In fact, Astrid knew the only reason why the Queen would keep talking to him was if she knew his identity. After all, Her Majesty was dead set in ending this war her way...

With another sigh, Astrid followed behind him, "The reason she told you was so that you would not involve your kind in our mess." Her voice, though course, was honest. She felt this answer would suffice, for it was truth.

Astrid shrugged of his previous remark, but calmly looked back at him when he brought up Luna. She paused for a moment to think of the rules, and then looked at Afrien in the eyes, "You are worried... I apologize, but I cannot take you into the Knight's quarters. It is too close to the palace."
She let her wings stretch out a little to catch a small breeze, "I can check on her for you, but when I do, it will be when you are no longer here."
The last thing she needed was for Afrien to get in trouble. With a sigh, she closed her wings, "In terms of other places... I apologize again. I'm rarely in heaven to begin with. I know more places on Earth than here."

With a brisk nod, Astrid walked back toward the garden gate, "Afrien, I'm afraid I must return to my duties. Is it alright if I escort you out?" She turned back around to look back at the young noble.

She smiled at the boy and extended her wings. With one downward thrust, she was launched into the air. Astrid would past by the Outer Gate to sign out, before finally returning to Earth.
