Without ever averting his gaze from the table, Ralph nodded his head as the green haired boy spoke, signifying that he was listening along as he spoke. He wondered about not being over someone else's house for a long time, as he seemed to be the type to get a lot of invites. The pale haired boy was under the impression that he was quite outgoing and wondered if he was wrong. Hearing that the guest asking for his name, he obliged.
"Ralph," he answered concisely, however, without offering a hand. He paused for a moment before he started to give a small reason for not offering a handshake. "I'm sorry. I'm a bit uncomfortable around other people."
Ralph reasoned, but in fact, he was trying hard not to let his voice start shaking nor his body trembling. Even at the distance they were sitting at each end of the couch, it still made him quite uneasy. He would prefer a place where anyone, not just him, would be unable to touch as much as a hair on his head. But rather than having his sister force him on another deal of being outside again, he would just have to silently endure it.

 ⊰ ∀ϛℎℯℵ ℳ ℩ K ℎ ɐ ℩ ℓ ʛℛℯў ⊱  Ashen had never really been the outgoing type. Only till recently has he.. Several years ago, did Ash actually leave his house besides going for a haircut, his job, going shopping (food, clothes, etc.), anything. He always stayed home and smoked freely and do his job. Ash seemed the type to actually do stuff with people, but in reality, he hates them. Why do you think he does what he does?
Upon hearing his name, Ash needn't reply to him, as his friends from earlier said it. But, what he was expecting was a handshake. He even stuck out his hand. As others do it to him, but this boy didn't. When Ash went to go ask, the boy, Ralph, answered early. So, to appease him, Ash got up and moved to the loveseat that was available. "I can't move very far, then I wouldn't be able to hear you. But, I moved, see? Is that better?" BUT I DONT CARE ABOUT HIM.) and i dont wanna be subjected to that. I'D RATHER HER NOT GO BECAUSE OF HER ATTITUDE.. but, hey, im not the mom. but, god forbid if she doesn't go. /sarcastic tone ]

Ralph couldn't help himself but glance sideways as he saw out of the corner of his eye that Ash stood up from his seat. He was surprised that, instead of getting closer, the green haired guest moved farther and asked him if that was better. He stayed silent for a moment before he chuckled lightly and spoke.
"You didn't have to move away."
Admitting only to himself, Ralph thought that it maybe okay to drop his guard down by a tiny bit around Ash as he didn't seem to force himself onto him. Still, he couldn't shake offf the feeling that he had met him before but didn't ask, feeling that it would only sound strange if he did. As if on cue, Erika came back from the kitched carrying a tray with two glasses of orange juice and two plates of sandwiches.
"I didn't know what you wanted so I took the liberty to choose," the girl spoke excitedly as she placed the tray on the table. "Why are you two so far away?" She then turned her attention to the guest. "I haven't gotten your name yet."

⊰ ∀ϛℎℯℵ ℳ ℩ K ℎ ɐ ℩ ℓ ʛℛℯў ⊱ Ashen smiled to himself. This Ralph boy is the cutest thing ever. Ash looked at him, as if he was shocked that he moved. Ash wasn't one to push himself onto someone he barely knew. And then he realized, he does that every other day. He chuckled to himself, then hearing the dear boy. "I'd rather you like me than hate me." And that was something he hasn't even told Trey or the others. He hates when people hate him, or love him too much, much like Missy.
There it was again, that sense of familiarity. It feels as if they've met. But, Ash doesn't know. He grew tired of that age old question and opened his mouth to say something about it, but then the girl, Erika, came in with sandwiches and drinks. Ash smiled at her. His sister was pretty cute also.
He nodded at her, he loved OJ, he liked sandwiches.. Hell, that's all he ever ate at home when he's by himself. With others, he makes a meal. Ash knows a thing or two about cooking. When she asked why they're so far away, Ash shrugged. All he knew is that Ralph needed space and that's all he gave him. "Ashen, but most people call me Ash." Ralph mentally took note of his full first name as he spoke. Erika kind of understood why they would be far away and glanced at her brother once to shoot a small glare, thinking that he might have told Ash to stay a bit further away. So she had an idea that might make the guest stay a little longer.
"Would you like to stay over for lunch? Or maybe even till dinner?" she had a somewhat mischievous grin as she glanced at Ralph. "I'm sure you two might have a lot to talk about."
Ralph quickly did a follow up, glancing once at Erika before finally looking straight at Ash looking a bit flustered. "You don't have to really. You might be busy and all."

⊰ ∀ϛℎℯℵ ℳ ℩ K ℎ ɐ ℩ ℓ ʛℛℯў ⊱ Ashen glanced at the duo quietly. He needs a cigarette.. He hasn't gone this long without one.. Or maybe, this is God's way of saying that he needs to quit.. Ash, either way, didn't want it to end. He then looked at Erika when she approached him for staying longer. He did have plans for tonight, but he believes that Joel would gladly appreciate hsi "gift" for tonight.
Ash would go tomorrow night to make up for his absence, he'll lie and say something. Only because Trey doesn't believe in friendship and going and staying for dinner. His whole scheme is his life. He smiled at Erika softly then looked at Ralph. "I'll stay for dinner," He started. "But, if only it's okay with Ralph." Erika looked satisfied with the guest's answer and looked at her elder brother. She tilted her head sideways and raised an eyebrow, signalling for him to agree with it. She believes he knows quite well that she'll nag on him if he didn't. Ralph did think about it and thought that it couldn't hurt. It was only till dinner, although he hadn't really talked with anyone else other than his sister so he was a bit uneasy.
Still, he nodded his head and agreed, "It's okay."
Erika clapped his hands, quite happy with the outcome. "Great. You two do whatever you like. I'll be around doing chores and cooking. Just call if you need anything." And with that, she left the two alone.

⊰ ∀ϛℎℯℵ ℳ ℩ K ℎ ɐ ℩ ℓ ʛℛℯў ⊱ Ashen was half-expecting him to decline the offer and only stay for a while longer for lunch and then leave, but then he agreed. Which blew Ash out of the water. He gave a half-smirk and inclined his head to Ralph as if it was a thank you. He just learned that he was uneasy around people, that didn't upset Ash. So, he didn't want to overstay his welcome and be a burden.
Ash looked at Erika and immeidately felt bad. She shouldn't do all of the chores! But, he didn't know how they liked their things to be, so he'll be quiet, for now. Till further notice, Ash wont interfere. And right now, Ralph and Ash are up to do whatever they want to do. He coughed to break the silence as he asked, "What do you do for fun?" Ashen looked at him cautiously. "Because I'm up for a great game or two." He said to Ralph. To be honest, he was a playful spirit, he just doesn't have anyone to play with. Ralph shifted uncomfortably in his seat after Erika left, leaving the two of them silent. He had a hard time trying to come up with something to talk about, as he haven't been initiating conversations for the longest time in his life. He was quite sociable back then but now he was reduced to someone timid. He was quite relieved that Ashen started, albeit a bit worried what to answer. But then, the guest suggested to play a game and remembered that he had a console he never got to use much around.
"I have a Wii," he spoke, smiling slightly at Ashen. "Care for tennis? Or smash bros? Or Mario Kart?"

Ash played games, but never on a Wii. He played the old school stuff. Like, what his brother passed down to him. For example, Nintendo 64, LoZ (the first game) and the also the first Mario games.
"Uh, Mario Kart?" He repeated as it felt weird to say to him. Ash gave a light chuckle. "You may beat me.. I suck at games." Ralph felt a little troubled when Ashen made a face and didn't seem to know the console and the games he mention. He looked down on the floor and shuffled his feet before looking back at him with a small smile.
"Let's not play those then. What kind of game can you suggest? Or anything fun we could do?" he said trying to not make his voice shake from nervousness.

Ralph was a bit startled when Ash told him not to be so nervous and wondered if it was a bit too obvious. He was just a bit scared that he'd turn the conversation into something awkward. He chuckled a bit as the guest chose to play Mario Kart.
"Okay," he nodded. I'll go get the wheels first. Just wait..."
He disappeared for a minute or two and came back carrying two steering wheels. He placed it both on the table before he started connecting wires for console to the TV, before turning it on.

⊰ ∀ϛℎℯℵ ℳ ℩ K ℎ ɐ ℩ ℓ ʛℛℯў ⊱ Damn it, Ashen.. Just ask him! His subconscious chided to him. Ash just chuckled to himself as he ignored his inner thoughts. He can't do that now. It'll ruin the precious moment that they're having. They're gonna play games, talk, and wait till dinner then Ashen will go home, call Trey tell him what happened and get yelled at and then his life will continue tomorrow at work. Ashen wouldn't dream of asking him, "Have we met?" And as he left to go get the wheels, Ash sat there, looking at the TV sideways. He realized he wasn't really facing the TV as he should. So, he moved back to where he was before and fixed his long hair and looked around the home till Ralph returned.
Not even a second later, he returned with the needed wires and stuff. Ashen was going to ask if he needs help, but he saw that he already got it. He gave the boy a smile.
Soon after Ralph got the game started up, Ash and Ralph began to play. After picking the characters, the locations and the difficulty, Ash began losing. He kept falling off the edge and bumping into random characters. Ralph wasn't exactly an expert on the game but he had played it a few times before to keep him from falling off cliffs or crashing into obstacles. He first laughed as Ashen did so, but started to give instructions and hints to be able to steer the carts well. The repeated plays served became his practice but he still couldn't get past the top three.
Enjoying the game, Ralph didn't notice the time until Erika called them for dinner. He paused the game, stood up and looked at Ash.
"Shall we go?" he asked, with a smile.
