Malodore made a thoughtful sound in the back of its throat. The foul fragment-being that had come for it... there was nothing of Jericho in its memories. It was grateful for that, at least - and that Jericho's own fragment appeared to be less repugnant of a being than Malodore's had been. "I had the same experience, of meeting a... ah, another version of myself in a dream," it said, though it did not volunteer any details. "Odd occurrences are very nearly commonplace, here." It continued checking over Jericho, then looked at them both and shrugged, the movement making its bladed feathers chime. "I do not see anything that gives me reason to fear." It opened its beak in a smile. "Rapid growth, si, but such is not uncommon among some species. FEAR is a marvelously resilient thing, is it not?"

Riley looked a little unnaturally pleased, on both accounts. I'm sorry that this has served only to confuse you further, Jericho. But this world we live in, ah, it is always such a confusing place. The day everything makes sense is the day I truly suspect myself in a dream. But until then..
She stood up and clasped her hands together in front of her.
I am beyond content to hear that you have a clean bill of health. My worries were obviously unfounded. I am over anxious. It is good to know better.
It seemed that the last thing she wanted to dwell on was their alternate personalities. Hers was.. the thing she felt most ashamed of.
Who's hungry?

Jericho tilted his head as Malodore spoke of a very similar experience. That was... kind of intriguing. What was going on? He looked towards Riley, noticing that she was looking rather pleased right now. "You have a point there. Things keep getting weirder and weirder and I'm not sure how to sort everything out."The dragon he met had him doing quite a bit of thinking. But he soon shook his head and smiled when the doctor noted that he was in tip top shape as far as the eye could see. He did furrow his brow a little at the mention of Fear though. Technically.. shouldn't he be made of Joy? Then again, he had been eating Fear based things. Maybe that was doing this growth? He wasn't sure. Eh. That wasn't going to stop him from eating. "Oh! I could go for some food right now," he grinned.

"I would be happy to join you both as you dined," Malodore said, politely; it was rarely hungry, but it would eat a bit for social reasons. "Though... hm." It gave Jericho a speculative look. "Have you, ah... hunted, much?"

Jericho gave Malodore a bit of an incredulous look. "Hunted? Not at all. I.. don't think I would know where to start on how to do that," he said with a furrowed brow. Maybe his draconic self would have, but personally? He hadn't even thought of doing that. Not now at least. Maybe it would come to mind later, but so far he was content with getting already caught meat.

Ahh, hunting. Riley sighed nostalgically. How I've missed it. Her eyes glittered with amusement at the idea that Jericho didn't know how to hunt. Should I take him out hunting, do you think? She hadn't even considered the idea until now. Perhaps it would be good exercise for him. She crescented her eyes at Jericho fondly. I can teach you how to hunt. It'll be fun. I could use the exercise myself. We've been cooped up in here a bit too long, perhaps..
It was only starting to dawn on her just how long she'd locked herself, and her elven friend, away.

"It might be pleasant," Malodore agreed, opening its beak in a smile. "I myself greatly enjoy watching Riley on the hunt." It ducked its head, almost bashfully, at the admission. It had vague hopes that hunting might help Jericho remember, but... well. Its friend had intrinsic value whether or not he remembered the plague doctor. And getting out would be good for both of them...

The thought was interesting, but Jericho wasn't too sure about this. Then again, Riley did offer to teach him. "You'd teach me?" he said with a smile, "I really don't know where to begin. I mean. I have no weapons but... you're right. Some exercise can't hurt."That said, he turned towards Malodore. "Will you be learning with me?"

Riley clapped her hands once in content. Excellent. I have to go change, this is not an outfit for hunting. Don't worry, you won't need weapons.
She patted Jericho's shoulder, and walked between the two of them, bumping her hip playfully against Malodore as she passed. Likes watching me hunt, does it. She teased, chuckling as she headed back into her bedroom.

"Me? Hunt?" Malodore was momentarily startled, then relaxed and opened its beak to smile once more. "Perhaps I could make an attempt. I do not feel any drive towards prey innately, but it might be amusing to learn. And effective for when I do need to do battle..." Not that a Hunter was at all analogous to a feral minipet, but well. It was a moving target, right?

"Alright. Let's give it a shot together then," Jericho nodded and smiled. Then, he just waited for Riley to get into the proper attire for the occasion. Hm. Maybe they were to hunt with snares? Was that why he wasn't going to need weapons?
He wasn't sure how else he might be able to catch something. Doing something like pouncing on a creature with his bare hands seemed...
Very unlikely for something he could pull off.

When she returned, she was wearing the rare, almost extinct thing called ~pants~. Her feet were bare - no socks or shoes. She padded quietly out, and wrapped an arm loosely around Malodore's waist. So I heard I will have two students, this evening, mmm? Riley positively glowed with happiness. It was possible that she hadn't been this happy in.. well, as far as she knew, ever. Jericho, let me see your hands for a moment? She held out her free arm, palm facing upward.

Riley certainly looked happy about this. Hunting must be something she really enjoyed. Smiling a bit, he stepped forth and offered her his hands as she requested.
"Now what?"

Riley clamped her hands down on his and then flipped them around so she could look at his palms. She almost laughed. Just as I expected. One more moment.
She returned to her room, just long enough to grab a pair of hand-knitted gloves. They were nothing special, but she'd been making so much lately, that she'd given up on style in favor of quality. Put these on, she commanded, settling them into his still open palms. We're going to be doing a lot of climbing, and I don't want anything out there smelling your blood.
She walked off towards the door, opened it, and held it open for them both. When she stood there waiting for them to exit, she nearly bounced in delight. Oh, I'm so excited.

"I will likely make a great fool of myself," Malodore warned them both as it moved through the open door, tucking its wings in to avoid clipping the frame. "I shall become tangled in a tree, or some other such silliness. It will be a great entertainment." Its words were solemn, but there was a thread of good humor in its tone. Just enough to give its amusement away.
