All depends on the person..Get to know them first. some honestly don't like talking about it unless they have too. I love talking about it and sharing what God has done for me. a person with my heart condition 9 times out of 10 they will also have down syndrome on one side and cant walk or talk. so it is noticeable and that why they dont like to talk about it. doctors say i am rare. I can walk and talk and I look like I dont have a heart disease. so as for encouraging another person....(if there open to talk about it) say something like I never been though your particular situation but there are other out there that struggle just like you. your not the only one. (I have even needed a reminder like that once in a great while.

Hey, I was reading and these verses were illuminated to me. Thinking about how not only is there this heart condition but many other ailments.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NKJV)

I think it's interesting how we (or maybe just me x.x) get disheartened or queazy inside thinking about one who has to go through illnesses or hard circumstances, but mainly because I've never been given it. I find myself meeting so many people in your situation, doing impossible things for God and further impacting me with their grace. That's the compensation, I think. God gives you grace. smile
