Nightlight, I agree.
And I haven't been reading much lately...except for George Hayduke's Don't Get Mad, Get Even! The Big Book of Revenge, and all that's provided me with recently have been interesting and amusing scenerios in my mind. Not to mention, I've pondered people I've been seeking revenge on... rolleyes

not to completely throw the topic off... topic... sweatdrop but i've been working my way through this title lately, and it's a pretty creepy read. not much in terms of philosophy there though. sad I had a neat book i was reading on the nature of civilization, but i dropped it halfway through to pick up the above book on a recommendation from a friend. <.< edits: maybe it would help the guild's traffic flow if we had a just a general chat thread stickied in which we could chat about less mind-heavy topics. on the other hand... would we get so busy just sayin' hi that we wouldn't really discuss anything else? gonk i'm so torn! crying

House of Leaves!
I've been trying to get a hold of a copy of that book for at least two years now!
A friend that works at the Cincinnati Library was talking about it, suggesting that several of us would like the book. Heck, we listened to Poe's album with the references to the book that day.
Anyway, just thought I'd share. Heh. sweatdrop

i just picked up at my local borders bookstore. (barnes and noble also has it) if they don't have it in stock at the time, you can order it (with no obligation to buy) and they'll have it at their store inside a week! smile

You're most certainly right. But I've been attempting to get a hold of it the free way. Via the library. =d
And I never remember to look for it when I'm at Barnes & Noble. rolleyes

I'm going to break down as well, I believe. It's a novel I'd like to read during my free time in college. If I manage to snag in.
Maybe I'll be able to get the night shift at the desk of my Dorms. I could read it there. =)

That be really quite kind of you, darlin'!
But I'd like my own copy, so I can highlight various bits I'd like to reference later (for papers and such), for I feel I'll use it in a paper at some point.
