It would be a lie to say that Ryan wasn't scared when arrived just before the altar. After the rescue mission in the horsemens lair, Ryan had come to fear lava. Just seeing it now made him remember the scorching pain of that illusion. An illusion that he thought had killed him.
"Umm... is this the only way through?" He asked, involuntarily taking a step back. However, since Dakota was already advancing Ryan figured he had his answer.
Fortunately nothing happened. Yet.

Aaand Dakota was down---or rather narrowly escaping death and teleporting back to safety before he really died. But that distraction was just enough for Ryan to make the wrong move and do the exact same damn thing.

SOMEHOW THEY HAD RETURNED TO THE BEGINNING OF THIS WHOLE THING.
Dakota blinked as he looked up at the hill he had just climbed and then over to the Ryan laying a little further then him.
What the hell had happened?
"Ryan bro. RYAN." He got up and headed over, kicking the other hunter gently. More like nudging him with his foot. "So help me if your dead bro...."

When Dakota nudged him, Ryan responded. "We almost got ourselves killed, that's what." Freaking lava of all things. "And no I'm not dead." Now he returned the favour by kicking Dakota in the shin before he got back to his feet. Though just as soon as he did, the ground shook in an oh so familiar way.
"Oh for the love of--"

"God you're like poking a grumpy bear." Dakota held the throbbing shin in one hand and much like Ryan, rolled his eyes as Minotaur brother, friend, lover whatever stampeded its way over to them.
"KILLLLLLLLL IT." Dakota though was still holding his throbbing shin and thus missed swinging Chama at the beast.

Ryan quickly spun around, striking the minotaur along the wrist, just moments before it smacked him back again. Really. He was starting to hate these things.
"They? You mean there are more!?" Ryan nearly stumbled at the thought of fighting a hoard of these things.

Dakota hissed and moved back. Finally recovering from the pain in his shin, the moon hunter slashed out at the beast before being slapped back by the minotaur and right into Ryan.
He untangled himself from the other hunter and got back up.

Dakota pushed the hunter up and off him before going back at the beast, he took the slap well...and then slashed with the fire blade. Chama sung with a charge now, but there was no way when he could see the beast faltering.

Ryan darted back and around before throwing two kick punches. Only to curse lightly when the creature swung back and hit him again. How many times was that now?
