Darrin smiled.”Well glad to know you’re alright, I’ve never seen you that zoned out before other than tests.” He chuckled. Darrin raised a brow in curiosity hearing that the same kid that picked on her asked her out this year.” He did huh? If I would of known that I would of gotten my sling shot out for target practice.” He smirked at his evil plot but looked down to see Lexi’s head was his shoulder. He smiled warmly though it didn’t last seeing she was thinking about something again. He wondered what she was thinking about so much before responding back.”Hmm yeah?”

(( I haven’t yet but need to >.< that and OZ The Great and Powerful but I got a good idea on how the ring looks like lol XD ))

Darrin gave Lexi a weird look.”Um alright then…but you know you can tell me anything right?” He smiled at her, but before he could urge Lexi to say what she was going to tell him she’d changed the subject.”Yeah I wish I was there to see that, his face must have been priceless.” He chuckled and patted Lexi’s head. He was now curious about what she wanted to tell him but he’d know he would get over it over time.

Darrin blinked watching Lexi paced and growl, trying to wrap his mind around why she wasn’t acting like herself.”Are you sure you’re alright….?” He asked slowly, his face mixed with curiosity and concern for the wellbeing of his friend. He almost seemed lost now listening to Lexi about how she doesn’t want him to see her differently then he already does, did he miss something?”Lexi you know I care about you too but what doooo-you’re a what?” Darrin stopped and stared at Lexi. He wondered if he heard that right or maybe even needed his ears clean, maybe Lexi bumped her head to many times? He didn’t know!? Before he could even respond to all this he noticed Lexi had already left , standing up quickly he grabbed his messenger bag and started to climb down the tree.”Hey, where are you going!?” He said as he tried keeping up, not to mention he now wanted answers.

Darrin set his messenger bag on the ground next to the park bench and sat down right next to Lexi, still trying to get his mind to take this all in at once. So his best friend is a demon, he bet a lot of people dealt with this kind of situation…not. He listened intently and when he was handed the ring he examined it carefully, Darrin just always thought it was strange designs but now he was really curious to know what it meant, not to mention a bunch of new questions he wanted to ask to her. But seeing how stressed out Lexi was due to this, he’d knew it could wait a little bit longer.”Weird…you don’t look like a monster and you’ve never scared me before so why would you scare me now?” He smirked slightly, handing back the ring to her.”Well then again, your pretty scary when you’re mad.” He smiled and slightly nudged her arm with his own. This was still all new to him but he knew he would get over it, he thought it was kind of cool anyway.

“What was I supposed to do, go grab a pitchfork or something?” Darrin joked with a laugh.”Your my best friend Lexi and even if this is kind of strange news to take in I can handle it, well as long as you don’t tried taking my soul or anything and that evil smile doesn’t help me think otherwise.” He smirked, not thinking he should fear for his life whatsoever. When Lexi asked Darrin if he had questions he nodded and took no time to start asking them.”First off that ring, what does that writing mean? Does it keep your powers dormant or something?” He asked curiously. He knew this was going to be more interesting than doing homework on a Friday night.

Darrin blinked at how Lexi said the rings inscription and found it interesting until he was told what it meant; he got a confused look on his face.”Darkness lies within? You’re really not the dark type.” He said, probably more confused about it than she was. When it was time for the next question he didn’t hesitate to asked”So if you’re a demon, do you eat souls? Do you have any kind of powers I should know about?

Darrin kind of felt stupid for asking that now“Hey I was just asking, I don’t know what demons do other than the movies!” He said, trying to defend his question. When he heard she had a spell book at home he got an evil look on his face.”That book wouldn’t happen to have a spell about it doing my homework for me right?” He asked with a grin. But soon that question wasn’t on his mind anymore when he notice the wings on her back…when she lifted up her shirt. Blushing Darrin nodded.”Yeah I kind of figure they were be bigger wings or you’ll never get off the ground.” He laughed nervously.”So um…does anybody else know you’re a demon?”
