Actually New Moon and Dark Moon are different. Dark Moon is the last few days of the waning crescent. New Moon is the first sliver of the waxing crescent's appearance in the sky.

Thanks Morg. To me they're the same thing since New Moon was always when you wouldn't be able to see the moon so Dark Moon would be the same time.
