Doyle looked at Saya and fought to not roll his eyes. She surely was clueless about things. "This gathering is a welcoming party to all of the trainees. Plus you can find out from Clyde when your field evaluation is. They're coming up pretty soon from what I can tell." Doyle explained, "Plus free food and drink." He lifted his punch glass as if to prove his point and then took a drink.
"Ah... but there's not many cookies left. Seems someone took them all." He commented while reaching for one of the many stolen ones in his various pockets and pouches, "Want a cookie? They're good.... homemade ones to boot. Someone really dished out the fancy stuff instead of the regular store bought cookies."

Clyde nodded to the other Trainee. "Acacia," He reiterated and checked her name off his list. "You're after Fifi, Tuesday evening at five, we'll be going in the opposite direction, towards the mountains at the edge of the forest. Dress warmly, I guess -" Movement by the door made the executive turn his head just as he was finishing.
The Executive wasn't surprised someone had to be led here, but he was surprised to see the manner in which the small girl was delivered. "Uh, thanks," He said to the other higher ranking Rocket. Clyde eyed the girl warily, especially her knife. He turned back to the other trainers. The scared girl would probably approach him later, it seemed Doyle would deal with calming her down.
"Any other questions?" He said to the two Trainees in front of him.

Saya took the cookie with her left hand and nibbled on it. There was no way she could turn down food being offered to her. Even though Doyle explained, she still had no idea what this was. The girl slipped her knife into her sleeve and brought her arm back to her side.
"Right, I feel welcomed. Is that all?" She turned to leave the room. There were better things she could be doing other than standing in a boring room.

Clyde scanned his list. All of the trainees that he had exam dates for seemed to be female. There were a bunch of girls here. One of them had to be one of the ones on his list. Hm. Of course, there was one trying to leave, the knife girl. He didn't really want to talk to her, lest she shank him or something. However, before she could exit the room he spoke, "Wait a minute, kid, are you Saya?"

Doyle took another drink of his punch after Saya took a cookie. "Nope." He replied quickly to Saya, "You need to talk to.... oh hey Clyde. Saya yeah this is her." He looked to Clyde when the executive spoke to Saya. "Saya talk to him and get your assignment date." He said before directing his attention back to Clyde, "Hey Clyde... if you need help you can always ask Gen and me to help out. We're not doing anything."

The mention of her name caught her attention. She was no kid, however. She turned to look at him.
"What if I am, and who are you?" She questioned. Everyone was untrustworthy to her, unless they showed otherwise. Saya didn't understand the need for them all to be standing around doing nothing, and definitely didn't care about whatever assignment date Doyle was talking about.

Genesis looked up when Doyle left, eying the young newcomer curiously. She didn't know Saya was a friend of his, but it soon became apparent when he offered her a cookie. Not many were allowed the treasures of his pockets.
"Yep," she said, lazily consenting when Doyle offered to sign both of their time away to Clyde's service. "What he said."
She reluctantly pried herself away from the food table when it became apparently Doyle and Saya weren't coming any nearer and made her way over to them. She wondered when Doyle had made such an acquaintance, and waited for the Executive to finish speaking with her so she could introduce herself.

Clyde narrowed his eyes at the girl. He wasn't so sure he liked her attitude very much. "I'm Clyde, an Executive, your superior," The alizarin-haired man said, attempting to remain calm, but the words still rang with a hint of malice. Who the hell did this girl think she was? Obviously she didn't understand how things worked just yet. Calming thoughts, calming thoughts. He couldn't lose control here, they made it clear that he was supposed to be welcoming to the trainees, even if they were brats. Once it came down to the serious stuff, the weak ones would be taken care of on their own...It wasn't directly his job to do anything about them just yet.
He took a deep breath and continued, "And if you are Saya, then I have your field assessment date. It's a small mission that will examine your current skills and how they can best be used for the goals of Team Rocket." An angry calm had settled over him, but at least he was keeping himself under control. Any incidents and he might have to see a councilor.

Doyle could have face palmed when he heard Saya's reply to Clyde. Oh yeah she was doing so well when dealing with her superiors and certainly still didn't know much of anything. He mentally winced when he heard Clyde's response. The dude was doing good at staying calm but you could sense the anger just below the surface.
He looked over at Gen and shook his head. "Man... I'm going back to the food." He wanted to get away from this before somehow Saya became his responsibility. He handed Gen a cookie as he passed and began raiding the pretzels.

"Uh huh..." The girl rolled her eyes. Saya was pretty angry with the way she had been treated earlier, and her mood hasn't lightened up one bit. She didn't care much about authoritative figures, nor could she see why she had to listen to them.
"You could have just sent me one of those message things on the communicator if that's all you wanted to say. I only have one skill anyway, if that's what you want to call it." She responded, not caring to take a hint from his tone of voice.

Clyde narrowed his eyes again. He wasn't full on glaring just yet, but it was evident that he was probably about to get there. The Executive's anger spilled over into his blue-green eyes. She did have a point, but her attitude was getting the best of his temper. "Here at Team Rocket," He ground out at the girl, still attempting to stay calm, "We have to promote a sense of unity. With that comes social obligations, gatherings like this" Clyde spoke like an angry motivation pamphlet. This wasn't how he wanted to deal with this, but his training said otherwise. It was in Team Rocket's best interest to convey to their members why what they wanted was best. Everyone had to believe that Team Rocket knew best, or else the whole thing would fall apart.
He arched an eyebrow slightly at her second statement. One skill? "If all you have to offer to Team Rocket is one measly skill, you might as well pack your bags now, kid. Unless you prove otherwise in your evaluation, Team Rocket has no use for cocky, unproductive little girls like you," The glare was at full force by the end of his statement.

Saya had enough of this guy and his "welcoming party." She was unfazed by his threats and derogatory words. She had heard so many of them, and that wasn't even near one of the worst.
She took a moment to study his clothes and targeted where he might keep his pokeballs. The girl walked straight towards Clyde in a slow, but normal enough pace that he wouldn't suspect she was up to anything.
When she got within an arm's reach to him, she said slyly, "Oh, but it's a very good skill." As she was speaking, she slipped her nimble fingers into his pocket with lightning fast speed and pulled out the first thing her fingertips touched. It was a familiar round object, just what she had hoped for.
She winked and straightened her pose, holding his pokeball out to him in her palm. She couldn't help, but smirk.

The girl moved towards him, his muscles tensed. He knew she had a knife. She could be crazy for all he knew, take a minor insult way out of control and...With barely a whisper of physical contact, he had been robbed. His stance didn't relax, even after he registered what happened. While his first reaction to the pokeball in her hand and the smug smirk on her face would have been to knock her out cold, he couldn't do that here. He was a Executive, an example of Team Rocket's best. They didn't go around swinging at their own. This was a much harder job than Clyde had ever anticipated.
There were worse ways he could hurt the girl of course. He was giving her exam in a few days. "A cute trick, but that's not enough to keep you here," He growled and swiped the ball out of her hand. She'd be back on the streets she clearly came from in a matter of days. "Your evaluation is tomorrow. Be there, or you'll earn yourself a memory wipe,"
Clyde turned to address the rest of the group. He needed to get out of here, go punch, throw, or shoot something. "Does anyone else have any questions? If not, you can go," He said in the same angry calm as before.

Saya shrugged. "You assume that I have good memories to be wiped."
She took her leave with not so much as a glance back.

Doyle tried his best to basically ignore the confrontation between Clyde and Saya. He ate some pretzels and drank more punch. He even threw a couple pieces of food at Gen just for the heck of it.
Hearing Clyde basically dismiss everyone he looked over in time to see Saya leave. Most of the other trainees didn't get much socializing time in. He sighed and walked over to Clyde. "Why don't you leave the clean up to me and Genesis. You can go and do whatever. We'll make sure that the room gets cleaned..... and that the trainees behave until they leave the room." He said. He could tell that Clyde needed to go blow off some steam then again who wouldn't after that.
