Jett shrugged. "You might say so, in a way." Just probably not the one she meant. "So," flashing another smile, he stood up straight. "Is it something you might be interested to take home with you, or would you like to keep browsing?" Despite rather enjoying the conversation, Jett was always itching to make a sale—and given the circumstance, he wasn't sure exactly where this girl's interest lay sans maybe being a little into mythology and historical pieces. There were plenty of other cameos to select from, but that didn't necessarily mean she'd be interested in them; it wasn't like the rest of them had interesting 'curses' backing them up.

The change in tone and reappearance of the smile and Delilah sighing. To her his movements came off as saying he was getting rather bored standing there and listening to her ramble. It was true she loved the old stories and the history behind each of the pieces and that she might be a little TOO familiar with old myths but where was the harm in that?
"You know," Delilah started as she took one more look at the cameo of the two lovers, smiled and turned to the bag she carried. When her hand came back up, it held a plain green card. "Take plastic?" She was grinning as she offered it to him. "Carrying around that much cash makes me worried. I rather enjoy debt."
And she rather enjoyed the shop. Delilah knew she could spend hours in there and love every moment.

At this, Jett once more smiled. "Ah, I don't blame you," he said as he took the card. "What with all the crime and mysterious things that seem to happen here in Destiny City, it seems like the most reasonable thing to do."
The store didn't have a necessarily conventional machine to receive cards, however Jett bared no shame when he pulled out a slightly bulky terminal. It took a few seconds to turn on and connect, but he didn't waste any time. He went to the computer, pulled up the item to double check the price, and then typed it in. He swiped the card, and then turned the machine so that the screen was facing Delilah. "Total is one fourteen, seventy," he said, making sure she could see the price he'd typed up. "If that works for you, here's your card back, and I just need you to sign on the line there, and press enter."

To say she wasn't surprised when she saw the older machine would be an understatement. Delilah nearly expected him to pull out one of the hold things that took an imprint of your card.
Looking over and nodding at the price, Delilah picked up a pen she saw hiding on the counter and signed her name with as much skill as anyone could have on those things. Pressing enter, she smiled and looked up at him.
"Is that it then?" She asked glancing once more at the cameo she just purchased. "I am going to have to come back here after a save up a bit more. A few of those caught my eye."

"A few of them are very gorgeous pieces," Jett conceded. "Anyone would be lucky to have them in their collection. Plus, we get frequent new shipments in, so it's worth coming in to look at the new pieces every now and then. Plus, if you have a specific piece or type you're looking for, we can take your number or email and contact you."
With her signature in place, he pulled the machine closer and pressed a button; it printed out two receipts, one of which he put in the desk drawer with the card terminal, the second of which he held onto. From next to him, he withdrew some newspaper and carefully wrapped up the cameo before sliding it into a brown paper bag, which he then handed to Delilah alongside the receipt.

Taking the brown back into her hands, Delilah pulled it close to her chest as if what was inside was the most precious thing she had ever held. It was something she did with all items she came to adore so quickly and cost a pretty penny for a teenager. Still, cursed or not, the cameo was worth it.
Just as she was about to bid him goodbye, Delilah felt a smile cross her face. How often do you get in new ones?" She quickly asked scanning the counter. Her eyes were looking for something to write her name and number on. Even if she couldn't always buy, maybe they could work something out. Having a 'supplier' might not be a bad thing. "I would not be able to buy every time but I would be interested in knowing what comes in." She smiled up at him with a shrug. "It's hard to find good quality outside of Europe especially with people who might know more about them than 'oh this is just a carved rock." " Saying that, Delilah shook her head and glanced back at the glass counter. "You should trying a bit more advertising by the way. I think this place could make a killing."

That Delilah was making such an inquiry inspired Jett to pull aside the stack of sticky notes tucked next to the register. He pulled a pen from the drawer beneath the counter and slid the instruments over. "You think so? I'll have to pass that on to my boss. He's a good guy and all, but he's more of a collector than a businessman." Still, he'd done some good business; he'd kept this place alive and open for so long—and with the steady flow of both suppliers, donators and customers, it didn't look like that was going to change any time soon.
"We always get at least one new shipment in on the fifteenth and thirtieth of every month, though it typically takes a day or two to go through the inventory, stock them. There are other, less scheduled shipments, but those are all dependent on what business deals go through and what items are made available. But I promise we'll try not to spam your inbox. Jacoby does get a little enthusiastic when we get interesting shipments in, though," Jett shrugged. "If you ever want to just come and browse, you're more than welcome to."

Smiling as she placed her treasure back down to take the pen, Delilah quickly wrote down her name and e-mail. She must have trusted him because she gave her real account and not the one she did for spam.
"Then you will be sure to see more of me." Smiling as she handed him back the pen and picked up her package, Delilah turned back towards the door. "Thank you again. And if you ever need an extra hand to help unpack, you have my name."
The last statement was half joking, half honest offer. She would have loved to be one of the first to see new items...maybe one day

"Well—you know what?" Jett replied, ignoring the pen so he could file her email somewhere where he'd remember to put it into the computer later. "I might hold you do that one of these days. Have a good evening and take care of yourself, Delilah. Come back any time you please."
He was in a good mood—half because of her enthusiasm and half because he'd made a sale. If she kept coming back? Hell, he'd have no problem letting her come in and look at the wares before they went on the shelves. It was a perk he wasn't inclined to share with just anyone, but J.W. Antiques certainly valued their customers. At the very least, it was an excuse to try and sell her more than she needed.
